Saw the film this afternoon. Generally I loved it. Some bits I didn't, but generally I though it was a damn good effort.

I'm a buff on the G1 toys and UK Marvel comic, but other than that my knowledge of other mythoses (mythises? mythoss?) is limited. I dare say the Allspark has already been discussed, but as I've only just seen the film, I'm only just back on this section of TFans.

So what the hell is this Allspark thingy all about?!

Not sure I liked it. It gives life to anything. It gave life to Cybertron thus creating the Transformers. Eh? I didn't like the way it shrank down. It's a life giving thingy yet it destroyed Megatron when it was placed inside him- surely it would have given him super power? It didn't like the way it gave life to a soda machine (?). What's the general feeling out their chaps?

The Allspark and the lack of dialog between the robot's (and Jazz's unecissary death) is what let the film down for me.

nice to see i am not the only uk member lol but anyway back to what you where saying:

the allspeak could have gave life to are planet aswell i just dnot know the date it landed on earth

i liked how it got smaller.
prime said along with ironhide that its pure power and by fuisoning it with a spark it would destory each other.
it would have given him spuer power if he was holding it.
the soda machine bit was just to show you and example of what would happen if megaton got hold of the cude its not different than the phone scene in the dam just on a bigger scale

hmm i tougth the dialog was fine i liked the idea of actions speak loader than words. i think they did need to kill an autobot after all, all but the screamer got killed on the decepitocns tream its just a same it was jazz i tougth they where going to kill prime aswill before megatons death.
Teh INTERNETS ^_^
The Allspark is basically the movie continuity's Creation Matrix. I believe it was going to be called that but they didn't want anyone going, "Matrix? isnt that a Keanu Reeves movie?"

I hope not. And what would the matrix add anyway?

Well you see, it...um...makes...Transformer...life....

Oh, you can use it to destroy...the..um, big bad guy at the end of... the movie..

....
....
....

It sits in Optimus Prime's chest and has handles?
Pessimist Prime
It's so obvious! Optimus can take the shard of the Allspark he pulled from Megatron's chest, put it into a protective sphere with two big handles on each side, place it into his chest for safekeeping, and viola! The Matrix! lol

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

...and it seems plausible for this movie series. LOL.

But the cube is raw power! Putting it so close to his spark is suicide! It could destroy them both!

Ok Ratchet. That was a good line. It really shows Prime's dedication to ending the war, no matter the cost.

*Hopes Primus / Unicron made it*

Course make them less... 80's comic uber villain, say, as large Transformers rather than actual planetary deities.
Say, Battleships, Unicron as Galvatrons ship, and Primus as the Ark from Cybertron.

I reckon itd work with a bit of thought into it.
