Hi all,

There was another thread in the TF section that had a couple Gundam tangents, and I thought I'd start one here.

I've been into Gundam for about 3 or 4 years now. I started w/ the small 4.5-in (1/144?) figs, which I fell in love with because of their high level of detail and articulation. I've never gotten into the "mythos" and the different stories and universes and whatnot, I'm really just into the mecha. I would like to see more of the shows, tho; I've only seen a few episodes, can't remember what series it was, but it was very cool.

Anyway, on to my collection. I've amassed 19 or 20 of the little 4.5-in. figs, a few repeats because they used to be cheap as hell at KB Toys, 3 for $10. Wish I'd bought more. I've discovered (many of you know this I'm sure) that N-scale (I think it's N) model railroad accessories seem to fit these guys very well, so I have a few little workmen in and among them, along with some small military vehicles around the same scale. If I had more space I'd make a kind of forward operating base for them.

I just picked up 2 used Arch Enemy figures (from our very own Devil Mazinkaiser, thx!): Wing Zero Custom and Tallgeese. They're used and loose, missing the spare fists and a couple saber handles, but they're very awesome. These in addition to the Arch Enemy RX-78 and Aile Strike that I had before. Love them, they're such badasses. Anybody know where I can get those spare fists, eBay was a dry well.

I also have 2 of the small-scale space carriers, a red one and a white one (don't know the names, sorry). Anyone know where I can get some of the tiny tiny Gundam figs that are roughly in scale with these? Not the mini-super-deformed ones the ships come with, but rather the inch-high accurate little figs.

Last but not least, the 4 Gundam PEZ dispensers, sealed in box w/ the Japanese cola-flavored candy (eew). I might have opened one, can't remember. A nice backdrop for my collection.

Lastly, a question. If you have more than one Gundam, is it Gundams or still Gundam, like "sheep"? Thanks, and show me your pics!

"Gundam" stays the same in plural. And welcome to the Animation Section! ^_^

I personally prefer the 1/100 sets, since I love building them, and they are the perfect size with the perfect amount of articulation. 1/60 are bigger, and although they are more detailed and have more articulation, their size hinders their awesomeness.

Two favorites of mine are:
- The Wing Ver. Ka, which is a reinterpretaiton of the Gundam Wing with the main bodyframe of the Wing Custom from Endless Waltz, the movie from Gundam Wing.
- The Astray Gold Frame Amat(s)u, which is a Gold-with-Black manga-only set.

OMG.

Yes, it just so happens that I have one. It is one of the most visually striking gundam I have. But, it is not as if it is a rare kit, so I find myself to be quite amazed by your sudden outburst.

See? Here I go again, I just won a NIB Assault Carrier Albion on eBay:

Swizeet! I love those teeny tiny little Gundam figs, I hope they're in scale w/ my other little Gundam carrier ships, a red one and a smaller white one (don't know the names, sorry). Yay!

Well, yeah, I guess.
It's just really pretty. optimuslaugh2.gif
And it is slightly hard to come across here.
Only saw it once in a specialty shop.
