Was the way Jazz was killed off. After him being ripped in half, I thought we'd cut to Prime, him turn his head (in semi slow mo) and be like soft "jazz", then "Nooooo!!" and him jumping on building and tackling Megatron.
And also, why Jazz? He's second in command and had a pretty cool presence. I mean, Ratchet seemed more expendable (*ducks from tomatoes thrown from Ratchet fans)

Megs doesn't pic his victims by who is most expendable. For the filmmakers to choose who dies in that way would rob the moment of its weight.

simple reason why Jazz was chosen by the films writers to die....he was the black guy. the black guy always dies in scifi/horror/adventure/action movies.

except LL Cool J, all his contracts have a "must not die" clause or something. all of the movies he has been in end up having that "i shoulda been dead but somehow im randomly still alive" vibe goin on

Imagine the amount of apeBlot flying around if Barricade had beaten Jazz to death instead of Megatron.

That moment had weight?
You have to kill a
Character for a moment like that to have weight.

After the countless lives lost on Cybertron, it'd kind feel funny that Jazz would be the one who garners a "RAR MUST HAVE REVENGE ON MEGATRON" from Prime.

Yeah, but movie climaxes are a good time for that sorta thing.

THAT...well, let's just say it wasn't pleasant and thankfully the thread is now in the lost realms of the forum.
Besides, there's a lot of hints that he might be back in the sequel. I know, some people feel it'll cheapen his death, others feel it'll be great(I feel this way cause we might see some characterization develop from his near death experience). And others feel that it'll be cool just cause Jazz will be back period.

Yeah, but you didn't think anyone had enough character. Let's just clarify that I meant the moment's
intended weight, whether that came across on screen in your opinion or not.

Well Prime did see Megs holding what was left of Jazz and yelled "MEGATRON!!!"
Same thing IMO

Huh? I posted that (as the first one on this website, I'll randomly add), but only as a joke-thread. And as far as I remember, no real flaming took place.

There was another thread with an amazingly short lifespan of someone who pulled the dramatag out. Now he can never go back...

I honestly believe the only reason Jazz was picked to die was due to him being a crappy car instead of a Porsche. The fact that he's a "
black" dude that died is just a coincidence, because that's the character Jazz plays. Do you think I'm impressed with every Brit in every American film being a posh Wheelie? More to the point, do you think I care? It's just a movie dude.

I know Jazz may sound black, but he's always seemed a touch asian to me. Like a Jet Li character. Funny one minute, then a ruthless spy the next.
I posted in another thread that Jazz's death didn't really seem to do anything in the plot. As though the writer suddenly thought at the eleventh hour "oh wait, we should kill off an Autobot" and just stuck it in as a after thought. He was only snapped in half, not decapitated. Hope he come back.
