do transformers have circuitry in them such as wires and do they have a data bank or memory core in their heads? i thought that they didnt need circuitry because of their sparks and the fact that electricity was not their energy but energon was.

Circuitry, yes. Wiring, sort of, kinda. They have a type of nervous system, they have reflexes, can feel pain, etc. Spark is soul and life, but processors and servomotors get you off the couch. They have to be able to sense things thru touch as well, or every falling human they catch would get squished.
You do come up with the questions! Let me know when you finish building the robot you are obviously working on in secret, I wanna meet it.

I always just figure that the operate on a set of systems mostly unlike our tech, and describing it our terms wouldn't do it justice.
