If Optimus Prime was a pepsi truck in the movie would that be considered sacrilige. Even though there already is a pepsi prime toy.

I think fans would be more ok with it than most people on account of the history. I think regular audiences would be kinda turned off by that.

It would be considered "blatant advertising" or " excellent use of product placement" depending on if you work for a soda company.

That would've been product placement on the scale of Mac and Me. The movie was teetering on the edge already.
