They've always talked about using unmanned combat aircraft, lets hope it isn't hooked up to Skynet

I think it's creepy how they quoted someone in the military saying he's looking forward to makeing killing people less involved and more unpersonal.
Lord Madhammer
Like that's a paradigm shift.

Let's face it... you have to be kind of soulless in the first place in order to kill people.
Wikkid
Y'know how people complain that advanced technology cars are boring as Powerglide. This is kinda the same being that it's just a ghey retooled spyplane. If you're gonna do something innovative, would it hurt to put some fangs or something on it?

Maybe if the soldiers had to look at all the people they're killing in the face there'd be less of it.

Um, the soldiers *do*. The ones moving the pieces on the chess board are the ones who don't have to see it happen. Dick Cheney & George Bush don't have to see combat (no change there) and the soldiers end up with PTSD. Nice.

All I know is I heard this on the news and hoped it'd be a character in the TF sequel >_>
Teh INTERNETS ^_^
So when the Iraqi government said the US troops could leave I don't think they meant send in the robots instead.

Wow, singling out the Pres and VP. Damn I know a few have done it in history have been involved in a war before they were Elected to office but must this be the requirement now? The last President I can think of that fought in a war was President Bush.

Other than that I don't think we'll ever see a President or VP leading the charge over the hill.

Looks like there was a gap in the early 20th century, but the majority of Presidents have served in the military (lol Texas Air National Guard). Not sure about the Vice Presidents, though.

Personally, I'd like a President to have some military service if he/she is going to lead troops as Commander In Chief. But that's just me.

I'd like a president who had been exposed to the horrors of war/famine/poverty. Like a requirement for all those seeking the oval office would be to spend a month in Dar Four or Samalia with only enough money = the average wage of the populous.

I guess I was getting at the idea that more than a few have had military service with almost all in the second half in the 20th century having military service.

I agree completely. I was just referring to the outright killing of people. If I was put into that kind of postion, I would defend myself, to be certain! thumbsup1.gif

I'd take a bullet for Zaku.

This is so old it isn't even funny. They used these things during the Clinton Administration..... redface2tf.gif
