A few notes on the series:

-Set in the year 2307 AD (yes, the first Gundam series with a defined timeline, 300 years from now. Not some nondescript new calendar)
-4 Gundam "Meisters", the pilots.
-Focus on the "Solestal Beings" (presumedly, the faction that controls the Gundams), an anti-war militia peacekeeping group.
-Directed by Seiji Mizushima, of Fullmetal Alchemist

It goes by really quickly, so it's hard to see, but the first Gundam seen in the teaser seems to employ some sort of Mono-Eye system. It's V-Fin drops over its main eyes to fully uncover the large forehead lens.

I look and I see sharp. and heavy weapons not like SEED's 'graceful' weapons. its its own Universe I understand but, I think we're going back to formula! looks facinating.

I'm always down for more Gundam. I just hope they provide more interesting models this time around. I've not been impressed since Wing.

So this more of humans vs. sentient gundams then? Why can't the finish the UC storyline or continue with some of AC storylines.... a Second Tourniment for Gundam with the Doman character.

Well, here's me hoping on some resolving in the movie.

I have to say, I can see the V-fin being slightly lower, but it doesn't cover the eyes, nor di I actually see it move. As for the Gundam themselves, I don't believe they are sentient, but controlled by these "Solestal/Celestial Beings", who will be the initial bad guys. I can't really say a lot about the Gundam in the clip, since I can't really make them out, beyond the blurs of movement.

I'm kind of glad this isn't a continuation series. I missed out completely on Gundam Seed and Destiny when they originally aired, so I can hop onto this one without worrying about what happened before. (Although, a friend of mine loaned me his Gundam Seed boxset, I just need to sit back and get watching.)

Call me silly, but I still liked G Gundam the best. It was just so ridiculous. Oh Domon.

It moves. You can see sparks fly out around the visor area as it slams down over the eyes. The visor is only down for like a frame, though, so you can't see it unless you freeze-frame it.

I really like the Gundam designs thus far. There's a bit of SEED in there, but also a bit of Turn A even. They look very sleek and agressive.

The blue one (cyclops in question) is very interesting. I like what I've seen so far.

virtue looks the most interesting to me it might be the next kit i get

so who else it watching the newist gundam show ive watched the first 2 episodes so far and i cant help but think thiers a fair bit of gundam wing in the story but i kinda liked wing so im not fussed. all in all im liking it so far

YAWN! Another re-hash of the Gundam franchise! Same stereo-typical, homo-erotic characters, same story with maybe, its too early to tell, a little twist. The only original thing here is the mecha designs and they are not that much of a variation on the originals. I'll find something more interesting to do with my time, like pick my toe nails!

I like it so far, but like how Seed was a rehash of the original Gundam timeline, 00 looks to be borrowing a lot from Wing. Even the main characters are exactly the same, very cold exterior and mission driven. Flags look a lot like Leos. I'm sure it wont be long before the Earth forces get their own Gundam level suit ala Tallgeese or their own Gundam like Epyon. I think it'll be a good series, they are trying a few new things like the space elevators and the very non-humanoid Earth mobile suits (more like something from MechWarrior or Armored Core).

I saw bits of the first episode. and there's one thing that I find good for a change:

WE'RE BACK TO ADULT PILOTS.

Seed was just too young for its game. and having more utilitarian based MS' designs is a nice thing again. Exia's a close quarters design, while compared to Dynames which is a sniper, and Kyrios your transforming fighter compared to the Virtue the heavy assault defense model. Unique in their own, but wondering about the "Rule of Halfway Upgrade" what are some of them going to be scrapped for?

i dunno the main poilet of the blue one Exia? looks like hes in his late teens but even then the other poilets seem to know hes well under age for your average poilet

one thing i do like is.... no char rehash i mean really it was getting a little dull the 3rd time round so at least thats over for now

I've only seen the first episode so far, but I like it...much better than seed at least. I'm sort of struggling to get into it. (A friend of mine loaned me his Gundam Seed box set...I've had it probably...three months now, and I only watched Volume 2 last night.)

I've only scanned through the first ep, cuz I'm waiting on a a good fansub to come out. Can't remember the last Gundam fansub I went with, I think it was SeedFansubs, which is probably going to be 00Fansubs or something. Anyways, I just want to stick with one fansub that is good and that will sub the entire series. Whats your pick?



They're all gonna get new suits that combine, a first for a Gundam series, I think.... I'm jk BTW. I do like how shows upgrade their characters (or whatever they have), kind of like BW. My prediction for the upgrades:

Exia: Probably get some wings that it can remove one by one to use as a sword

Dynames: An extra sniper rifle

Kyrios: Ability to turn into a boat

Virtue: Probably lose wieght, gain a female body with robotic hair, and gain 3 extra cannons

I might go with Shinsen Subs since they're doing it now. They're pretty good. I watched the second episode after my last post...and I gotta say, I like the Exia's fighting style. Really blew me away how it managed to do some of the stuff it did.

im really loving gundam Dynames, its a bit differernt having a "sniper" themed gundam, which is kinda cool the only similar one i can think of was gundam Buster......

the MS at the beginning is 0 Gundam...

sorta guessed that at some point we would get a gundam with that name looking at past titles

I've been watching the series on crunchyroll.com. It's pretty good and better than seed.

I've yet to sit down and watch a full episode, but I've seen bits and pieces and I think its pretty good based on what little i've seen.
mean of things, I just got my 1/100 scale Exia in the mail and started building it. Really one of Bandai's most developed 1/100 scales in a long time. I built the original main mecha from SEED and some of the later 1/100s (ASTRAYS) and tried getting into the Destiny line (If I wanted Zakus, I would have bought UC models), but nothing really of this level of detail.

Yeah this is on everybody's page. According to the translations on Gunota and SuperRobotWarsHotnews Its actually the Virtue with its heavy armor stripped away.

That would make sense, I mean the preview for next ep says "Virtue's hidden ability" or something depending on the translation.

I began watching Double Zero New Years Day by word of my cousin. Right now I'm on episode 12. Three words: Good So Far.

i think 13 was a bit of a meh fest alot of talking some fighting but nothing really happens till the end

I like the series so far. I've got 12 and 13 to watch but haven't had the chance yet.

mean of things I've seen the hints about the new three Gundams and they really set a design gap between them and the original four. ANd scuttlebutt is they have some feature that combines them (literally).

As for the current primaries, what do we not know about the Nadleh?

Yep - am up to ep. 21 thus far; think things are getting a bit dicey for the Gundam Meisters (not to give too much away). Am really rather enjoying this latest series, I think there are 5 more eps to go, since they usually have around 26 episodes per season (I think they do.. not entirely sure).

And I can't wait to see Fix Figuration sets of the 00 mecha either!!

Yea. 4 more actually...I can't wait till next week. Seems like they're taking a real Heroes-style to the series. (I'm not sure I can wait till Oct for the next season!)

The only thing that pisses me off is all the stuff that happened to Saji(Or those around him.) and Lockon. I think if Tiera was killed, he could of been brought back.
