Anime title: Zegapain
Mech name: Altair

Import/Japanese made by Bandai. Has it's own show that debued in 2006 and a game on Xbow 360. I haven't seen the show or played the game. My gf bought the model in a local comic shop. I had no idea what it was until I googled it.

ebayd: http://cgi.ebay.com/Bandai-1-72-Zegapain-A...oQQcmdZViewItem
but that's really expensive

UncleJoe420
Kinda reminds me of my Amdriver bits, which I am still trying to track down more of!! Will have to do some pix of what bits I've got once my transforming Genesic Gaogaigar turns up!!
Kurosaki Ichigo
Do you know if that is the only mecha in the series? I couldn't find anyone when I looked around.

I know this but I couldn't figure out where the hell they moved it to after the "upgrade".

More or less, yes, it is. In the show and game it has a few more different configurations of energy armor (of which you can also see on the box) which leads me to believe they'll be releasing either armor packs or rereleasing the mech with the alternate armors. I'll buy both whatever route they choose to go down.

Unfortunately I think this was a one time only event. Its not the sole machine from its series but there are other 'lesser models' based on this one schematic but nothing's been translated into Plastic form other than this one.
I was interested in it once but when I saw that most of the detail is decal I kinda shyed away from it. Same thing happened with the 1/144 StarGazer Gundam.
meantime designwise: That 'crotch point' is just a bit of aerodynamic aesthetic. you look at the sharp shape of the head and then its retranslated over the body in areas such as the shoulders, chest, toes, and of course... the Crotch.

Sorry for the delay but here it is:

Yeah, You're right about that. I know this is the only one so far but I'm hoping for more.

Actually, all of the detail is sculpted into the pieces. The only thing that the decals do is add color to that detail. It's not like some of the Gundams where you have stickers with lines on them and no such lines on the toy. The amount of decals on this is actually pretty small.
