Instead of getting the standard list of replies in any given topic, I get a tree with links to the various posters that replied to it.. then it displays the replies. Is this something I can fix myself? Because I sure don't like it much.

*Sigh*
This happens way too often. Can't we make a sticky here in this forum that tells people what to do?
You go in a thread to "Options". It's in the right corner. It says "Options", right there. In it, is says "Display modes", with three options below it. You have it set on "outline". Click "Switch to: Standard".
Presto, there you go. All normal again.

Thanks, Klarion.
I had the same problem. (Weird thing is, it happened after clicking on a link to another topic someone had posted. )

Every thread I look at, all of the replies are stacked at the bottom, and I can't read them in order. Why is this, Dr. Science?

What browser are you using, what board skin are you using, are you using Lo-Fi or Hi-Fi version of the board?

Play around with the option bar, I had the same problem, I think if you mess around with the Display modes in the green square in the pic

It's happening in every thread I go to. I am using the newest version of Firefox and the default board skin (I don't know how to change it!) It's happening in every thread I view. It only started the 2nd half of yesterday, I made NO changes.
This is how it appears (almost like an outline or dynamic flow chart):
M-Prime v.2.0 Why are all the thread replies jacked up in every thread I go to? Yesterday, 12:50 PM

I know the view you are talking about! Its like comments on a Myspace blog. Some people reply to posts in the middle of the thread, thus they show up underneath that one. Let me see if I can play with the settings to make it do that (and hopefully go back).
What CJ said. Click options and choose linear (but it looks like it says lineart to me). That will change it. You are describing outline mode. You must have accidently changed it somehow.

really sounds like you're stuck on the lo-fi version, makes it look like an old bullitin board type page. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and see if you see a link that says Hi-Fi Version, and click it.

M-Prime: Delete yer cookies if the lo-fi/hi-fi thing doesnt work that should do it (as the cookies will have all the settings in them)
Cliffjumper - you may want to get rid of #mywebsearch' its adware...

FIXED!
It was under options. Mine was set to Display Mode: Outline, instead of Standard. Don't know how that got F'ed up. Thanks for all your help!!!

When I check out a post, its like everything is links to the the replies. How do I turn that off?

You mean how some threads have post #1 at the top of extra pages?
I am more confused as to why some threads have this and some don't. It is helpful in some topics, but the TF Connection game is confusing.

Go to "Options" in the right corner of your first post here. Choose "Switch to: Standard"

This happened to me today as well. Had I not by chance known this thread was here, I would not have known what to do. This topic should be pinned, at least for a while.

Me too! I have to say that bI REALLY, REALLY dont like this system. So please get jiggy with the site tools and sort it out please, eh?
click on options at the top of screen (same terracotta bar as the thread title on the right), then click "standard display" or something similar and now it will show the "correct" way to view the site.
Methinks some admins have been fiddling or maybe Firefox has buggered up a few sites...
