I have no idea what import laws to the UK are (except that they charge a crapload of tax for expensive parcels of TFs ) and o was wondering if anyone knows what the score would be with megs as he's released in a month. Will they be impounded as they're replica guns or will there be no problem with them. Would we have to buy them from US retailers instead that being the case?

beeing hes a gun it could be tricky. u would be better dealing with a company over here thats getting him in. let them deal with getting it over here and you buy it.

I shipped an old style megs from the philipines (in gun mode!) - no issues.

Make sure that its marked as a toy on the box. Customs may open it but I wouldn't expect them to do much more than see its a toy and send it on..
And if its bot mode then there should be no issues.

I emailed customs and excise a while back with regards to the original G1 megs and Uk law and basically they said "no problem, just not on hand luggage".

If you post it, import it etc the Uk doesnt have a problem.

Thats why we can have any kind of toy gun almost.

The ones with orange caps are just excess ones made for the USA market.

Seriously, dont worry. THis will be one time the Uk import market will do better than the usa one!

well 99% of the peeps I've talked to say its coming in bot mode and looking at the box sized I'd say their right so even if it was ex rayed it would look ok

Orbital Comics & Manga in London are importing mine. They've told me there shouldn't be a problem, though they were worried for a little while.

HLJ said mine won't have the orange cap because the UK doesn't need it.
