And, please, can anyone tell me that this is a joke, a hoax? For the love of all that is holy, no biblical being should ever carry pouches like that!

although to be fair some of those poses are common enough in comics that they have to have been repeated at some point or another....
anyway Leifield is still a hack.
Ultra Magnus
hmm, is that like, a ticket straight to hell for Liefeld?

No, you can tell that Liefeld is ripping them off directly because the only way he can draw humans with decent proportions is to trace over some one else's work.

Yeah, but see, that's the thing, the pictures cited are pretty weird in the first place.

NRAMA: We’ll talk more about the business side of this new venture in a moment, but you say Hotsenpiller has a "distinct, perhaps controversial point of view”? Can you expound upon that in a little more detail?

RL: He has a strong, researched point-of-view on current events pertaining to End Times prophecy and has a timeline he has charted that identifies events as he believes they are addressed in scriptures. There are differing points of view on subjects such as World War 3 occurring prior to the biblical Rapture and the collapse of the United States and its removal from the world stage setting the way for a one world government. Sounds crazy and radical but it's compelling.

...OK. So the writer of this story actually believes his own fabrications?
Nomolos
don't most preachers believe their own interpretation to be the TRUE RELIGION. this guy just happened to speak to acrowd containing liefield. who was of course easily brainwashed. especially with the idea of working again tied to it.

I hadn't ever actually seen or hear Liefeld before. I knew he was an awful over-the-top artist, for which I really did not care. After this...I just can't take him seriously anymore. Ever. He's an idiot.

Wasn't Liefield Pat Lee's mentor? (probably explains a lot - I hate both Liefield and Lee's art)

Forget his so-called theological research - he clearly hasn't even done historical research. I'm not religious at all, but I can tell you that fashion wise half the crap those guys are wearing are completely out of period. Textiles and fashion, like a lot of things, is based on technology (in fact, it was the textiles industry (primarily in Germany) that was the forerunner to modern-day R&D - something that saw an explosion (sic) in popularity after the advent of the atomic bomb)... some of those characters are wearing clothes based on textile and fashion technology that absolutely did not exist back then!

When I was a uni student I used to be a member of a medieval and renaissance recreation society and other people would nitpick the crap out of you if you had even a stitch method that was historically inaccurate. Our costumes had to be historically accurate down to the last thread.

And to be fair and inclusive, Liefield should now do comics based on other religious texts too. I would seriously love to see a comic book done on the Buddhist tale of Saiyuuki (Journey To The West) - which was the core inspiration for Dragon Ball. icon_wink.gif

What the HELL are you talking about, man? His work isn't supposed to be historical accurate: Egypt has floating pyramids and flying chariots, the Ark is a spaceship, and Goliath is a monolithic robotic war machine! Historical accuracy is the least of your worries.

Dude, I can tell you that Moses having had goggles is completely inaccurate -- wearable eye protection did not develop in the region until the 9th century! Liefeld clearly hasn't done his historical research! eektf.gif

I don't see the point of that either. He's making a(VERYFUCKINGSHITTY) version of the religious text his religion follows. Why would he do a version for any other religion just to be fair?
