Ok! Tis be week one, and we got a decent week of books out.
Let's take a few highlights...

Great week if you are a Winnick fan, we have both Green Arrow and the Outsiders.
in Green Arrow the Red Hood (aka Jason Todd) comes to Star City to work with Brick. And where the Hood goes, the Man in Bat is sure to follow. Great banter between the villians and heroes, and the end shows that the next issue will be a great fight! all the way.
Outsiders takes place a year ago where they are still getting back together and in gear. Not so much in action, but great for character development. Plus, Redhood vs Nightwing. I think Winnick is having too much fun with his charater here...

Now JSA issue 2 is out....and we find out where our new Starman is from...or is it when? If you are a fan of DC nostolgia, you need to be reading this book. Art is awesome, espcially the covers and we get to see some bonding with Wildcat and his new found son.

Finally, if you are a DC comics fan, you HAVE to be reading 52. I can just say 2 word for ya...

For Marvel, I have 2 books for you all...
Excalbur has turned into a fun book with the departure of Clairmont...just about all the X books are readable again..but this is wrapping up an arc about the Juguernaught (Starscream!). Get a much more indepth look at what he went through at the begining and the repurcussions now. I encourage you get the last couple issues for this. Had a GREAT encounter with the Wrecking Crew. so for the whole arc


Now for Thunderbolts....ahh...well...Warren Ellis has taken the reigns...and well...it is mixed for me...I liked the previous writing style. It was fun, light hearted, and used about every character in the Marvel Universe NOT in another book. Now it is sinister...from Songbird leading the team, we have Norman Osborn...with the team being treated like total criminals now. Not just the true villians like Bullseye and Venom. I'll still read this book because it is intriguing...but if you are a fan of what it was...
But for potential... We shall see...

LOVE this book!!! Cobra Commander infiltrated the White House and made an elite troop to exterminate led by General Rey...who has been aluded and we may now find out to be a brainwashed Serpentor. oh this gonna be good!!!

Ok, week 2 is here! sorry for being late in the day, just got in from work...and got the comic stack here....

Let's cut to the chase, Transformers Spotlight Ultramagnus. GREAT read! felt a bit short, but it had lots of little things I enjoyed. Was not expecting the villian, nor going to Nebulous...Fleshed out a great Decepticon baddie, and we got Swindle being the Swindle we love. Art is awesome, especially the transformation sequence. He is NOT a white cab in armor, it is integrated all together. Nothing really going on with the Escalation universe...but really makes me look forward for UM to appear in the main book. Get's a big ole

Next on the list I have Ghost Rider. I loved the Minni and how this series started. Now I don't know...seems to take a slight detour. More now of a horror comic than Super Hero. NOT a bad thing at all, but they seem to be making him kind of a Biker Hellblazer. Plus now having Corben on art it really feels so. He did the art for Hellblazer for a bit. Not a bad book, just still getting the feel for it.

Cable and Deadpool...long and short, Deadpool needs to grow up and that is why no one is hireing him...but he needs to first beat up Taskmaster! Two of my fave Marvel Characters beating each other up, a great recap page that kind of voices our biggest Civil War Complaint (is it shipping?) and Nicieza's always incredible Deadpool dialog...ooooooh yeah

52...we find out who Supernova is (no, not going to post, feel free to ask or check our 52 tread) and if you are a fan of Morrison's Animal Man...we get 2 very important characters returning

Green Lantern, oh poor Hal...poor poor Hal...just an action issue, if you haven't been following it I really suggest you get the begining of this arc. Still the ending is a cliffhanger for a soon to be memorable issue. Abin Sur, the GL who gave Hal his ring when dying had a son...and he wants his legacy. He's doing ANYTHING to get it.
Love this book, love this character...when it comes out...

And my Guilty Pleasure of the week, Shadow Pact. Etrigan vs Blue Devil, aww yeah and if you are a SP fan, we have a Detective Chimp oneshot where he get's the Helmet of Fate.

Well there we have it. Small week, decent selection that I bought...also in the Ultimate Universe we have Cable running around (definitly not 616 Cable) and an Ultimate Clone arc that I am definilty going to buy the trade.

Alright! week 3 and we have some fun stuff! Dropped over $30 at the shop...but the ones that stood out are some gems

Escalation 3.
THIS is the issue we have been waiting for. The Decepticons make their move...and it's awesome to watch. We get Megatron transforming...and essentially the reason for this form? To show off. On tracking down Sunstreaker we have the humans showing that they ARE useful with their knowledge of how we do buisness (tracking down the metal on the false body). Plus a lot of little things made me smile. First and foremost, Prime's trailer turning into base mode. Megs being ungodly powerful in gun mode...and the reinforcements...2 we have had spotlights for, the third not as of yet (and a nice random guy to pick as well)

Wolverine
ok...really...we mean it this time...What is the deal with Wovlie and Sabertooth? We find out...NEXT issue lol. Get a great fight though, plus a nice back up story that kind of rehashes his first appearance...with a nod to the unfinished (and I doubt it will ever be) Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk. Great book to pick up if you haven't been following the current series and are a fan of the runt.

Silent War
Ok, this is going to be an awesome series. In the Quicksilver mini post HoM, he stole the Inhuman's Terrigin Mist crystals, only to have them siezed by the US. The Inhumans are not happy. They declare war...and it has started. A TON of promise on what should be an epic story.

Civil War: The Return
ummm....let's bring back ANOTHER character who was supposed to stay dead...and it's someone frankly who should stay dead...Captain Mar-Vell
Plus a Sentury back up story vs the Absormbing man....Frankly I give this a big ole Meh

What is going on with all these Mad Scientists? Infinity Inc has a traitor....and truly...what is the final fate of the Question?
Nothing super jaw droping and ground breaking in this issue...but it is moving the story along at it's perfect pace.

X-Factor
Can we get more creative with Multipul Man? ohhhh yeah 1 Hydra captures Madrox, thinking he's the dupe that was in SHIELD...they brainwash him with some truly unexpected results...oh, and you DON'T get M angry...I really can't get enough of this book...get the Hard Cover, get the trades...just get this book so it keeps on going!

Moon Knight
GREAT issue to jump on to if you haven't been reading this revitalization of Marvel's Caped Crusa---err...Dark Knigh---damn...ok, yes he's like Marve's own Batman, but he got a ton more issues to deal with. He was washed up...crippled...and now getting back into the game...incredible art and story telling. I strongly recomend the trade when it comes out.

Ninja Scroll
the Fan boys dream of having fan fiction published continues...if you liked the anime get this book. The first issues are ok...but now the story is really starting. IF you are a fan If not, you may find it a meh

Annihilation 6 of 6...
If you have been reading this series, then you know this was an AWESOME book. I highly encourage you all to get this collection when it goes to trade or to get the back issues. Marvel truly did a sci-fi epic...and frankly I liked this much more than the Raan/Thanagarian war. Anything with Galactus getting ticked and having the Surfer "HERALD MY RAGE!" is pure badass....not one bad thing to say about this book save I hope there is a follow up.

Teen Titans
We get Titan's East! Deathstroke has assembled his own Titans with members who compliment our favorite heroes. From Intertia and Match to Kid Crusader (newcomer) and Batgirl (yup, she's a bad guy for those not in the know). Just the first introductory issue, but Johns will definitly make this into an epic.

TANGENT IS BACK! a few years ago DC made these cool oneshots called the Tangent universe. Had their own cover style and everything. Well first this emulates the cover to the T and has some of the characters back (no Joker though, she was my favorite). Plus the return of Captain Atom! Kinda...he has been killing time and Daemonites in the Bleed...yup, the WILDSTORM UNIVERSE! I love that...

Xmen
Interesting driving story...W have Ldy Mastermind trying to find out who knocked her out and put her into a coma. I'm enjoying both X books currently. And the last page has a great use of Sabertooth...heh heh heh...Really can't get into the story on this...nothing too groundbreaking, but a good comic read.

ok I was reading this...I enjoy the character...was hoping for something new and fun....and it was all just an origin rehash... ahh well...

Oh and final issue of Transformers the Movie...ummm...err...they really could have done a lot with this book and opportunity. We have beat this horse to death in its own thread...but I will say...total dissapointment. Best part about it? The covers. Seriously...if you want to see TF:TM, go get the special edition...this...not a buy on my list.

Blue Beetle!
Man this is a fun book. DC's absolute rookie hero tangles with the New Gods trying to figure out the whole secret to his armor is. Again I recomend the back issues and/or trades. Really a good time. No super aingst at all.

Batman and the Mad Monk
I'm the biggest Mat Wagner whore you'll meet...sorry...so I can not say a bad thing about these...from story (great Noir feel) to the art. The concept of the Dark Moon Rising books is Batman meeting different typse of Metahumans. In this case, a vampire. Get the trades...now if only Grendel would drop in..

Ex Machina
Our favorite Superhero turned Mayor of New York is now planning the new World Trade Center. One of the most inovative books out today...For Mayor Hundred loses his powers...For solid story telling, Vaughan is one of the best. I really can't get into details with out spilling spoilers left and right, but get this book!!

on a side note, got the Teen Titans trade where they meet their future selves...reading it after the Crisis you see some really nice subtle things DC was doing to set it all up. If you don't have those issues, get this trade. Plus it has Dr. Light tearing the Titans a new one!

And to plug a bud's online comic...I'm a huuuuge Attack of the Show fan..and yes, Olivia Mun will be my future ex wife..but I digress... http://www.myspace.com/oliviamunncomic is a fan comic staring her. Work in progress...so hopefully this will pan to something cool. (and btw if any of you AOTS execs need a comic guy, not that I don't like Brett and all...I'm available lol)

Quiet week...but still we have some nice gems.

Dark Tower:
I'll be honest, I didn't get this...because I want the trade. The art by Jae Lee is amazing! And the dialouge by Peter David is sharp as always. I will want to read this straight through....so I'll browse this, and I WILL buy the trade, so this is a buy in one form or another


Uncanny X-men:
oh man this is some great Space Opera here. Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire has been a great arc. Highly recomending this. Vulcan is now teamed with Deathbird to help bring back her brother...wait...wasn't he going to kill him? After all D'Ken did kill his mother...read and enjoy. With the Starjammers and the Imperial Gaurd, what is not to like with this arc? Art is great, moving story...get the back issues. Not Anhilation slaming action, but still just as badass

Ghost Rider Trail of Tears:
If you are a Ghostrider fan, this will be your year...this takes place in the Civil War, and while the Ghost Rider has not appeared, the story is quite moving and Crain's art is as always amazing.

Supergirl:
ok, like Matt Wagner, anything by Joe Kelly I'll read...and Supergirl is at the top of the list. Vs Cassandra Cain/aka Batgirl! Obviously before her appearance in Titans East...but still, a GREAT fight! and as always great dialouge...and man...Powerboy REALLY likes Supergirl....catch last page lol

Steel vs Luthor!!! This is a BATTLE! Nice action issue, not too much with the story save the last page...building up to World War 3!

Shazam! The Monster Society of Evil:
BUY THIS Jeff Smith, creator of Bone, writes a retelling of Captain Marvel's origin...and it is GOOD! Great art, well paced story...this a book to buy, for yourself, your kid, your brother or sister...just get this. This will be fun to read

Guilty Pleasures

We finally find out just who General Rey is....not really a surprise...but hey, it was well done.

Ironman:
Adam Warren writes and draws the latest story of our Armored Avenger. Fun paced, action packed...and the Iron Man armor doing the Napoleon Dynamite dance....I kid you not...

Midnighter:
Garth Enis...you and your wild wild violence...Sent back in time to kill Adolph Hitler he confronts him....just as Hitler is about to shoot himself...If you like rediculus violence, get it.


New Avengers...
I tell myself with every issue I'm going to drop it....I mean it this time...Ronnin captured by the Electra led Hand...wait, isn't she supposed to be good? Let me check my Wolverine trade...yup! with the Avengers..with SPIDEY IN BLACK ALLfrickinREADY! Seriously Marvel...time your books a little better?

THIS rocked. We find out Zemo's fate after his conflict with the Grandmaster...and his family origin. This is a good solid story here. Again fleshes out one of my favorite Marvel characters...if you are a fan buy it....but not a waste of dough if not


Astonishing X-men
MUST BUY! If just in collecting in trades, this is TRUE solid comic book writing. Whedon delivers with every issue...it is all about White Queen setting up the space ship....read it and you will know what I mean. Is Colossus destined to cause planetary genocide? Well...umm...check out the last page....

Green Lantern Corps
Guy Gardner kicking some ROYAL ASS here. The last few issues have been working with the Green Lantern Black ops Corps. You don't mess with these guys....I love this book, but I'm a Guy fan.

Ghost Rider
Well Texeira is back, as the tone is being set up for a new story arc. Kind of aimless in direction...but we get Flamehead going against...Jack O'lantern?
Seriously...there have been how many of these guys? And didn't Punisher blast him? Ghostrider, I like ya..but you are going on notice...improve or I just read ya at the comic shop

Redhood vs Arrow, Brick Vs Batman...totall Pwning of these heroes....a total pleasure to read. Red Hood preps Brick on all of Batman's tricks, plus 'Hood is up to GA's tricks. And Deathstroke has escaped as well...

Someone is after all the American themed silver age heroes families...with Johns writing this just escalates with each issue...And now are we going to have a new Sargent Steele? Wildcat's son has a few tricks...and well....we do find out who is back and behind all this..

Rao this book sucked!Lords of Chaos, what is the deal with all these Kryptonian overused Phrases? Art is cool, art is GREAT! Story is...ummm.....well the art is good...total waste of my money here....

So let's start with the picks!

Well Transformers the official Prequel...
We got a lot of nice things here...Gee Wun fansboys rejoice...We get Arcee...kinda...lol. This does flesh out the story/universe the movie is in. Megs personality...just what the hell the Allspark is...(why THAT website is in the movie I don't get....heh heh). Intro is a lil vauge and while Don's art is awesome (btw, TFans own Josh did some INCREDIBLE coloring here)...but the bots are kind of hard to tell apart. oh and the main bot is bumble bee who gets his voice box aced by megatron overall...this will work well for a lead up to the movie.

GI Joe/Transformers Dark Horizons pt 2
Again...the greatest fanfic put to press! III and IV of this series just floor me. It's all about one pannel and 3 little words...KUNG FU GRIP!
ok, that and Monstructor, the pretender combiner...the Battle Beasts...Unicron NOT being defeated by the Matrix!!! Yes I said that...and you won't belive the Transformer who essentially takes him out...and it works...buy buy buy!! Seeley should have permanent reigns on this project...

Cable and Deadpool....
Entertaining issue to say the least, but then is always so. DP is stuck 3 inches tall being duped to taking PYM Particles...and well has an interesting payback from the Rhino. All I can say is urinal cake....lol

The Immortal Iron Fist
Ed Brubaker rocks! I kind of feel I should wait for this to come out in trade, but still...awesome story about the history of the Iron Fists past as well as now MORE than one present...

Silent War
god damn! Forget the Civil War (which I'm trying to....see later in column)...After Anihilation I almost forgot about this...you do NOT mess with the Inhumans...Black Bolt meets the Sentury...and just where did Quicksilver hide those extra Terrigin crystals? This is just amazing...totally amazing. Should have consequences in both FF and X factor. If you were a fan of Son of M GET THIS BOOK! in fact, my pick of the week.

Shadow Pact
Guilty Pleasure plain and simple...Though Bluedevil is now Rhymer class deamon...while Etrigan is running around hell with his trident. Should be quite interesting...

Ion
Donna? WTF? what you doing back? And who has been messing with Kyle all this time? And how is his mother doing? ok we don't find out...but next and final issue we will...nice lead up though.

Checkmate
Captain Computron (yes I had trouble reading that with a straight face....and yes I know, the Technobots called and want their combiner name back) fixed the election against Bane...So Checkmate sends in a squad to investigate and retrieve him...shame that Checkmate, well Waller is the one who sent him there...political intrigue, back stabbing, all as only Rucka does sooo well. A must read series.

And now..

The Culmination of Elongated Man's quest...and don't forget folks, he IS a detective...I am not going to give any details on this, but I was quite satisfied with this arc closing....

Civil War 7
HUH??? WHAT? I waited for THIS?????
Save your money people...Captain America just GIVES HIMSELF UP! NO badass fight...just a convoluted action page with a lot of damage...I'm sorry Marvel...but I needed more..."nice new duds" explains Spiderman in black??? ok, I was going to start reading spidey again but this turned me RIGHT OFF! Joe, what were you thinking? Mark? I know the Ultimates 2 was beyond badass...why couldn't you do that for this book? World War Hulk better be better...
Look at the Crisis...perfect lead up...execution...and frankly I liked a lil death in my books for major characters...we get Black Goliath who we haven't seen in how many freaking years? At least you could have had the Thor clone take down a few more...or go out of control...or just not get owned in one hit by Herculese (who will now disapear until we need another generic strong guy...) sucks sucks SUCKS!

Damn, a day late...shame I have to work for a living...

What a week...I'm a happy geek...now on with the show!

Herald of Galactus: got the yin yang here...loved seeing Terrax just bust some ass here. When all else fails, a good ole axe chopping gets the job done. Look forward to seeing what kind of challenge he poses to our cosmic heroes. If you want a good solid action story, part one here does it. Now the second half, Stardust...ok, it is kind of why I was originally turned off to the cosmic stuff. A little to artsy, a little too over dramatic...it was just plain emo. Though now it seems Galactus is now packing 2 heralds. Still a good one shot, and I look forward to seeing more of the aftermath of the Anihilation wave. /

GI Joe:
Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned...that scorned woman has jack on the Barroness! Great issue to jump on for new readers. A much more brutal story, slick art...and it is just the begining. Barroness lost her baby...and she's going to maime anyone who stands in her way...

Wolverine:
ummm.....ok....err...lot of action...LOT of action...just don't ask me what happened...BUT since this is supposed to be the story arc that explains just WTF things are supposed to be with Wovlie and Sabertooth, I have to say it is a must buy....for now...

X-men:
I tell ya, I am enjoying this book more and more...(then I re-read the Clairmont Excalibure and totally adored this book). Truly one of the most inovative ways to use Sabretooth...We have a guy who has duplicated Rouge's power to a virus form and now is collecting Mutant's powers. Great fight, and if I ever see a fan girl of age in lady Mastermind's outfit....but I digress...Carey you have some good solid stories here. Keep it up!

The Flash
Filler story! More trying to Characterize Bart here...but we do get a new story arc here next issue so like Ghost Rider, you are on notice total pass, save your cash.

Supergirl and the Legion of Super Heroes:
I LOVE this series! total action issue! Wanderers and the Legion are having to team up against the Dominators (which I have noticed they have been in a few books lately). Earth is under seige but the Dominator's AI Virus...total "Invasion" 31st century style!


X Factor
Don't tell me you are still passing this book up people...Madrox feels he's fallen to pieces, will somebody put him together? Well, actually he's soul searching and is now seeking out his wayward duplicates...but one has truly made himself his own person. Morality issue! But done WELL

Doctor Strange, The Oath:
ok when I heard Vaughan was going to writing for Lost, I was ready to start watching that show hardcore. Last issue, but I strongly recomend the trade when it comes out. This should be the Dr. Strange Movie. Wong, stricken with cancer, can only be cured by the magical cure for cancer...which is being held by Strange's rival working for the Medicine companies...who if it is duplicated will be totally out of a job (I'm not making this up people). Will Strange get it back? And what is the Sorcerer Supreme supposed to do when challenged in a no magic combat zone? Get it, you'll like it.

Iron Man Director of Shield:
ummmm....Tony is running SHIELD like a company now....that is about it...ummm pass

Transformers Escalation
YES!! Roller rules!!! best use of Prime's 3 parts...The poor russians trying to figure out the Transformer's battle "the Raptor is being shot at by a rally car? and a bombing run from a space shuttle?" All this and Hot Shot and Hard Head make planet fall...and next issue, Prime vs Megs! Seriously...those 2 haven't fought each other face to face since DW Volume 2 issue one!

Green Lantern:
ok, takes FOREVER for these books to comeout...but are worth it...Loved seeing Batman being offered into the Sinestro Corp...and the build up for these guys is killing me! Plus GL vs Abin Sur's son...What more could you ask? John Stewart? Funny you should ask...

most...disturbing issue EVER! Seriously....just...*shudder* I really can't review it...ok, Osiris believes that all his problems come from his powers...so he turns them off, only to be eaten by his pet talking aligator...that and some really random space birth that looked painful in a way that I'll just adopt kids than put my wife through that...

And there we have it...oh some notable skips this week...Black Panther...I'm sure it was good, but it was vs the Thor Clone...and after Civil War 7...kind of pointless...Punisher 4, funeral for the Stiltman...I read that issue, it pissed me off...After reading that, I hope they kill off Frank. Seriously.
Next week, Marvel Zombies....VS ARMY OF DARKNESS!!!! no joke!

I would like to take this moment and apologize for being absent for all this time....had some personal junk back in the real world...

So for right now, a condensed version...

My major pick for a guilty pleasure is Hack/Slash Death my sequel trade. But IDW this is basically the Grind House of comic books....but before Grind House...so you could say that Grind House is the Hack/Slash of movies? Seriously it has fake "Trailers"...over the top fun violence and really good dialouge. If you want a fun, turn of the brain book. Get this.

My other essential reading for you all is Shazam The Monster Society of Evil. Jeff Smith of Bone fame is crafting an amazing tale here. If you ever need a book to justify reading comics, this is it.

X-men with Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire has to be one of my favorite space epics next to the 'Wave series and spin offs (which if you didn't get Nova...go GET IT!). From the M'kraa'n crystal, the Starjammers...I really look forward to this book.

Ghostrider...is just staying above water right now...but the Trail of Tears is an amazing read as well as a pleasure to look at. Art wise, Trail of Tears is amazing.

Transformers...
Soundwave was a lil dissapointing, but the Escalation is impressing as always. The Movie Prequel is interesting. Definitly fleshing out everything. I especially like how they used the Mars probe trailer in the last issue.

Iron man is totally on my Pan list...BUT the Hypervelocity mini by Adam Warren I am enjoying. No cheezy drama...just good old sentient armor action.

For Wildstorm books, I'm loving Stormwatch PHD, kind of a law and order SVU feel to it, the Midnighter series is quite enjoyable, and well Authority...that is just Grant Morrison doing what he does best + art by Gene Ha. Can NOT go wrong!

52! I LIKED this issue. Got the whole world war 3 story totally in a nut shell! Great and dynamic ending for Black Adam! quite fitting I thought, plus a complete story in a nice neat issue. Black Adam vs Everyone...and I liked how it was taken care of. My pick of the week!

World War III 4 issue mini event....
dear lord I want my money back...4 issues of just seeing Martian Manhunter brooding? Seeing Black Adam posturing? Ok, yeah he took someone out...no one major..but he did...and ummm...well...when you can have just one issue tell the same story in a great way...then string it out to 4 issues...and I accidently forgot to read issue 3 and just went to 4 and never noticed till I had a book left over in my bag...I mean it had some of the tidbits from one year later thrown in (Supergirl going to and from the future) but...no..just get the 52 issue and enjoy that.

THIIIIS is what I wanted! not getting tossed into the bin no more...Almost a year now, and I finally get the Flash stories I want. We got the Rouges teaming up for some master plan...Inertia using some super weapon, and our hero tracked down by the cops figuring out who he is...nice solid Super Hero stuff


X-factor
I'm torn between this and Cable and Deadpool for my favorite Marvel books....We get the return of the Blob...kinda...More of Lyla Miller knowing stuff and setting up Rube Goldberg devices by ordering a deli plater...PLUS seeing her not expecting something always a good time with Peter David I tell ya.

T-RAY IS BACK! Must read issue for true Deadpool fans! All leading up with a crossover with the X-men! yes, Cable and Deadpool are actually getting noticed by the Marvel Universe lol. Just get the book, you'll laugh, you'll cry....you'll ask if Agent X is really going to eat all that...all this and Hydra Agent Bob!


Moon Knight
ya know I think they got the covers mixed up with this and next month's issue...call it a hunch...
Damn brutal battle in the begining with a cyborg, the new Midnightman, and Moonie...I'm almost getting this book just for the shock value on the art. Building up to...something...just not sure, but still awesome art, and a noir story telling that keeps me happy.

The Mighty Avengers
Well the book doesn't suck....I'll say that lol If you like your Avengers backed by SHIELD, get this...if you want SHEILD less, go New Avengers...it's bendis, the art is cool...just not...umm inovative. gets a meh

X-men
I swear this team really doesn't have any X-men on it save Iceman...just an observation...But we get to visit Cable's little privat nation...see a soccer game...oh and fight some mad Shi'ar weapon bent on eating everyone's minds. And sabertooth locked them outa the car. Not as Epic as Uncanny...not Astonishing as well....umm...Astonishing...but a fun read none the less.
