i think this would be helpfull since its seemed to work well at other places. the idea is to recomend stores that you use regularly and give a little review if possible. and if you want you can warn poeple of bad stores
Forbidden planet cardiff (part of the internatinal chain). has a very small selection but they import from the US and have a good sized area just for TF comics as for price they stick to UK RRP for hasbro items but for takara stuff can mark up but only upto about 15% so on the rare chances when you factor in P&P they can be ok price wise
Forbidden planet Bristol. Has a huge section just for transformers but they tend not to import US stock and what they have from the states is very pricey but they will carry most new items from reisues to kiss play i would only recomend them on the off chance they have a sale on but they used to be pritty good when it came to basics
Xybertoys.com my fav online store they pritty much carry all the TF stuff you could want and free P&P is a winner and ive never had customs issues when using them and ive must of spent about £300 with them over the 2 years ive been a customer. and when i preorderd MP screamer they gave me a little gift pack as a thanks containing 2 road ceaser PVC's (1 regular 1 silver)
HLJ.com they will stock pritty much everything and at a good price the sting is the P&P so after that HLJ work out the same as any other store but given the wide range or items thier still awsome tho bewarned ive been stung by customs when using them it wasnt every time but it can happen so IMO only order smaller items from them or hard to find stuff
neonmartian.com very good prices and UK based cant realy find a flaw with that also they have been know to carry rarer items like DVD packs and such and i think right now they have a sale on pritty much the full range of GF toys putting them very close to thier cybertron counter parts price wise

I've ordered stuff in the past from HLJ, and they have been quite good. An added bonus is that I have yet to be stung for import duty for anything i have ordered from them, and a at least a few times they have come to more than the cut-off point before you start getting charged import duty and handling fees (which is aroung £18, i think).
I can also recommend JRSToyworld.com and BBTS - pretty much for the same reasons as HLJ - not been stung for import duty, and the customer service is also very good too!!

HLJ is great. Ive been to the head office/depot myself, know some peeps who work there and the selection is good.
Its also worth noting that Amazon Uk and Japan are linked closely, meaning that people like me in Japan can order UK books easily, so Im guessing Japanese Tf books are almost as easy to order in the UK.
Forbidden Planet Bristol always had a good selection of Japanese/USA TFs, but at a price.
Another place to look are at those pound shops, like poundland/stretcher etc. Sometimes, old liquidated stock of TFs, some old, some new, surface in these stores. I bought many G2 bots, including the rare g2 cyberjets in a portsmouth poundshop. Those shops also have a good selection of knockoff bots too.
The Entertainer is meant to be good for imported bots Ive heard too.

This is a great idea for a permanent topic in here ! , have a habit of having a wander in pretty much every town i go to, ( travel all over the place with work ) and its a pain finding some of these collectors shops. Personally have used toyzandgamez now a few times, and theyve always been great to deal with, got some classics on pre-order from them now and jetfires on his way, epic heroes is ok but expensive, and the last time i ordered from them it was slow as hell. forbidden planet Coventry is pretty bad, theyve had the same few pieces in for the last six months, but just down the road is Forbidden Planet Birmingham which is always fairly good and up to date.

A little list of some of my top bookmarks:
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Good prices & VERY good customer service. I get customs charges on their packages quite often though.
http://www.digital-toys.com/Not a bad little site with a couple of nice deals on there. Got a sealed G1 Downshift for next-to-nothing from there & they still have some in stock.
http://www.epicheroes.com/I dunno what their site is like as I've only bought stuff from their "real" shop. They have a few bargains there at times.
http://www.play.com/Great prices for Transformers DVDs on here. Toys can be a bit overpriced at times.
http://www.reprolabels.com/Essential for fixing up G1 junkers!
http://www.theentertainer.com/Cheap set-price UK delivery for any size order.
http://www.toysrus.co.uk/G1 Reissues on sale at the moment.
http://www.woolworths.co.uk/Site's rubbish to be honest, store's okay though.
http://www.xybertoys.com/Excellent customer service & free UK delivery. Great for small orders, but adds up with large orders.

Realy good thread Blitz. Very helpfull indeed.
I use Toyzandgamez alot, i have always find them pretty good.
Anyone know of any G1 tradeing sites? The only one i've ever found is on Uk geocities call Mangohero 1978. He's a top notch trader who's got LOADSA stock and is very reliable.

Cybertron stuff is getting really hard to find now, the best place is the 2nd market on eBay.
Neon Martian has some Galaxy Force for reasonable prices;
NM GFDitto Archonia;
archonia GFTRU and the Entertainer also still have some stock left.
