I bought the robot masters skywarp and thundercracker set from toynk on ebay... but when I received them the tape on one side was cut and retaped even though the item says sealed.

but that's not the problem... they came UPSIDE DOWN... meaning someone cut the tape, turned the insides upside down, and then retaped it.

Now, i was debating leaving this item sealed, being a somewhat collectors item, but the item I received was not the item I bid on (plainly didn't received what they had listed on the auction).

Now my complaint is, should I open up a case with ebay noting that they item i bid on is not the item received?

pic shown here... and here's the ebay auction

Yes, do something about it. Even if you don't really care....it's principal.

and especially since it clearly, and in large print, states "factory sealed"

A problem? With Toynk?

HELL YES!

I won an auction using "buy it now" for an Alternators Camshaft MISB, and paid for it through paypal the same day.

Ten days later, no delivery confirmation and no package. huffermad.gif

After numerous attempts at contacting them through ebay (with no response) to request status of the item, I began calling their store from the number that I found on their website and started emailing customer service. After another week of calling and leaving messages, I finally received a response from customer service telling me that they regrettably sold out of Camshafts just before I won my auction. slytf.gif

When I asked them why it took almost two weeks for someone to comunicate this to me after repeated attempts to contact with no response, he basically said "I can't explain that one" and offered to give me store credit for the pending Camshaft order.

Here's the weird part - I told him to apply the credit to another item, and three days later the money that I originally spent on the ebay auction and then which was to be used as store credit was reimbursed in full to my paypal account - no explanation or anything.

TOTAL cluster, if you ask me... and I will NEVER use them again. thumbsdown.gif

huh.... wonder if anyone else has had this problem.

This sounds like a consistent problem that's been going on for several months. The biggest problem they seem to have had was in October, with many Halloween costume orders not arriving in time to be used.

I've won some Takara reissue from their aucitons, but that was early in the year. I had no trouble with ToyNK. It might be because we are both in the same state. I never saw them having any troubles at that time.

As for that RM auction. I wouldn't be surprised if their item description was just a generic one that they have used for other RM Thundercracker/Skywarp sets.

My problem with them was that they sent a pretty banged up box of MP-01 Convoy.

Ordinarily, this wouldn't've been a problem becuz I'd plan to get two (one to open and one to have in a MINT box). And I was able to get the one I got for less than $100 including shipping.

When I sent an email (twice) expressing my concerns, they replied (after a week) and said you can send it back at your expense but there's no guarantee we'll send you another one in a mint box. thumbsdown.gif

i brought e-hobby cobalt sentry (laserbeak and ravage) from toynk and when the figures came, the box was wrecked... he sent it in a jiffy bag! i paid 35 dollars incl' p+p for the thing and he gave me 10 dollars back as some kind of compensation... i didn't wanna send the figure back cuz i had no idea if i'd see the money i paid for it again... but yea, i won't be buying ffrom him again because when i buy ehobby figures, i expect tghem to be pristine!

When MPP preorders first were up I ordered two both from Toynk and they arrived fine but keep it mind it was MANY years ago, so from the sounds of the various comments customer service has really gone to hell.
