I'm wondering who's going to Botcon 2007?

Where is it going to be?

Rhode Island this year. Homebase of Hasbro.

Don't quote me on this since I haven't seen it elsewhere except another board, but it may include a tour of Hasbro's Transformers dept.

I'm plotting and planning to go but from Cali to R.I., that's a mission. All before the movie comes out too.

Technically, Hasbro's HQ is in Pawtucket, the convention will be in Providence.

Once again, I'm hoping I can go.

1) There was a movie called "Outside Providence" that took place in Pawtucket.
2) It's freaking Rhode Island. How far away COULD it be?

As soon as the New Year comes and I find a job I'm going to start saving up. This will be my first Con and hopefully not my last Con. I just hate the idea of flying out there but it looks like it's either fly out there or ride Greyhound for a week.

My partner and I are definitely going to '07's Botcon! I have already cancelled all other trips and will start saving money for toys!

Apparently you have never driven through Rhode Island. It may be small, but trying to get from point A to point B seems to take a lifetime.

And since I live half way between Boston and Providence, I am most definitely trying to make this con. And it will be my first. Boy, I should probably start saving up now.

Will be there as well. For me, this will be my 8th BotCon. Fun, fun, fun. Autobot Maximal, there is at least one other thing to see that most would drool over: a Hasbro TF dept. tour in Pawtucket. Fun Pub. has been offering a tour for the past 2 years, but this is only a rumor...unless someone has found out something??

I'd like to go to this BotCon, as I too live withing spitting distance of RI... but where the hell do I register? At the door or is there a pre-registration thing going on?

This is going to be my 5th Botcon and I can't wait. I've been going with my Dad as a father/son trip and its awesome. I filled up his Durango with my purchases and he filled the back seat with all the Hard Hero busts he bought at twenty bucks a pop. Apparently room rates are going to be $129.00 like last year according to TFW2005.com.

I will definately be there. I live near Boston so it's a fairly short trip for me.

I'm also registered and have paid for my airfare and have the hotel reserved, all thats left is to lineup a rental car. This will be my second Con, last one I went to was in '04 in Pasadena, looking forward to it.

If so, you should still make the trip. This is probably the only Botcon within driving distance to PA.

Doylestown is a hop skip and a jump from Philly.

Sounds good to me as I won't have a car. Then again, maybe you don't need one in Providence. I've been to Vancouver and NYC and both are easier without a car. Try not having a car in Texas sometime. That's some bullBlot.
