I think it looks like fun, but I liked the idea more when they weren't all hams.

I think the joke is that "ham" is a funny substitute for "man", that's why it's being used.

As for the new comics, I've always liked the Peter Porker idea and I will buy this series.

Umm....I understand that, but repetition isn't a funny substitute for anything. Ducktor Doom and Goose Rider are preferable to the same animal joke.
