The model being used is a 1/35 British Challenger 2. The alternators used are two sideswipes and Hounds arms.



There's a whole whack of armour to cover the sides but at this point, much of it is taped and unfinished.





To transform, flip the turret up and ahead.





Separate the legs as Sideswipes do.




Flip center tracks around to back. They are mounted on Sideswipes old forearms and hands allowing them to flip and swivel.




Drop shoulders. Hounds arms will be hidden under the armour and half of the wheel in the center track will be cut off to allow them to hide.




Flip chest and head down.



The abdomen is gonna have a bunch of details added and will set the proportions better. The tracks will not turn but be glued in place, it's all a d00d can do when working off of the G1 show. At this point, I've got about 8 hours into it. There's a bunch of fillers and details yet to be added as well as a way to combine with the Onslaught MP based on a MP Prime mould.

Powerglideing awsome!! only thing i would add is that the tank treads should fold up or something in alt mode so they arn't so long, or attach the excess to the body or something. can't wait to see how this turns out as your other you knocked out of the park. can't wait to see the other combaticons either.

I like that man, can't wait for the complete version of Bruticus. Anyways here is a custom warpath I started a month ago, roughly about 10% done. I'll be working back on this once I'm done with my Grimlock custom.

I'm gonna get the shoulders fattened up a bit. Probably make the front fenders pivot up to cover them.



Here's the picks for Vortex and Blastoff. The Blackhawk helicopter is as close as I can find to the G1 design. I'm using my Blotty ol Skylinx for BO cause it's actually got gaps and breaks right where I need them.



I even found these today to use as MP Sunstreaker and MP Brawn as well as a MP Prime for the Onslaught which will, once again, use the remaining parts from my Rino rig which had been sliced up for two previous works.

That Brawl is damn nice And I like how you're redesigning Swindle and not using the original mold.

I'm curious as to how you are going to modify the G1 Sky Lynx into an Alt Blast Off - the structure to Sky Lynx has nothing that would facilitate a mod into a humanoid figure.

I'm only using his shell and it will be cobled together like Brawl was. That is to say various parts from different alts to form one unit. Currently planned is to fuse alternator Primes legs into the rear half of the shuttle. The bay doors Sky Lynx has will still open and allow all kinds a gnarly articulation. The lower half of Lynx's jaw will be attached as Primes hood was to fold down and form the chest. The remaining parts of the cockpit/Sky's head will come down and form the arms as the toons character depicts. (Not like the toy). There will be no side cannons on this as the toy had, I prefer to work with the toons representation.





Sully got me that for the grab bag. I let my son play with it while I took pics. It's better than having him throw Brawl down the stairs.




I also forgot to mention this d00ds done in PPG's global system and isn't clear coated. The lack of clear gives it that flat look. Even though it cannot be seen in these pics, he's sprayed in Orchid green, rust red, graphite metallic, jet black, carbon black, and some silver. The differences are more noticable in person. The sonic cannon he sports in tank mode is made from two E Shockblast arms. It's meant to simulate an amplifier type weopon as it was in the show. It's got the heat sink cooling fins and four fan assemblis in the back. The weopons deck also contains the fuel drums and jerry cans. Oh, and this thing is fragile as hell. It's easily the most difficult thing I've done yet so I'm okay with the fact that it isn't perfect.

Wow....on that scale, Bruticus will be effing huge! 2

Been real busy so not much progress has happened. This is an old pic but the cab has more work done as well as the legs/wheels. Blast Off is also underway but I wiped out my computer and need to reinstall the camera thingy software.
