I was just going through some old files, and I came across the 9 Alternator knockoff's, that are totally new color skemes.

Had the idea about what I might do if they (whom ever THEY may be) made high quality knock off's of the G1 cars? Would I (or any one else) search high and low, what colors might they be, and how much?

Granted they already made some recolors of the G1 line, as far as I know they sold pretty well. Only one I am missing is Hauller (of the ones I still want or don't need since I already have the original Diaclone variant version).

Would we get some fan interest and someone make a Red Mirage? Or would it be something totally original, and they'd make a black one?

Any alterations? Like added face plate?

I'd like to see some more repaints eventually.

The alternative car fire chief's and Police squad was fun to make customs for.
A black Sunstreaker (also made a custom for) with red windshield would be nice.
White Skids to make a Ratched was something I have been considering making for some time.
Red Skids, one of the few original Diaclones I am missing (have 1/2 of one) I'd like.
Black Prowl, heck go the knight rider bit.

Maybe they can even redesign Ironhide like I did years ago, put the add on head unit that's neck fits in the seat, and put swivvles on the shoulders so the arms can spin up to the right height, and I'd be fine with that.

As much as the idea sounds good, I can't say buying bootlegs gets me excited.

I figure, since Takara pretty much boot legged their own rare variant TF's and Diaclones, turning all the really hard to find ones I paid a lot and searched hard for into remakes, IE bootlegging their own stuff, someone else (or them) could do some more.

Yellow Sideswipe - Paid $$$ for one in a lot back in the day - REMADE
Silver Skids - Paid $$$ for one, strangely enough was in a single box - REMADE
Police Sideswipe - Paid $$$ for one in the box, yellowed but just fine for me - REMADE
Red Tracks - Paid $$$ for the Italian one - REMADE

Black Sideswipe - Bought the remake...ok so I could not find one.

Desert Hound - NEW repaint they created to sell. Got one as a Xmas gift.

Is the quality of the remakes as good as the originals? NO

Ok, so change the topic a bit. What if Takara made some more variant G1 toys. WHAT would you like to see?

I would not mind them finishing the re-releases...though I have no intension of getting any, unless its a variant I don't have...
