I was recently fortunate enough to come across an original set of this series, ORGUSS 2. I had always wondered what these robots were (Coming to us in the US as mainly Converters). So far, I have only watched the first couple episodes (of 6) and I am not only surprised at how complex it is, but how Adult. Very violent at parts, a lot like MS Gundam.
The story: 2 Opposing armies, Revillia and Zafrin, Kings and Queens, with people digging up ancient robots of war, called Decimators. Throw in a young kid, enlisting into the army, and being recruited by a crafty ace pilot, to not only fight the enemy (Zafrin) and make a LOT of MONEY. Throw in the bosses Daughter with the cutsie short red hair with one long sideburn, and the fugitive mysterious blue haired girl and it’s a series.
There seem to be several different types of these Decimators, with guns, axes and nasty surprises. I was most satisfied with a little trick the young pilot did to win his first battle against a foreign (Zafrin) speaking dope in another type of robot. I’d tell you, but then that’d ruin the fight scene. Other scenes include a WWII-like bomber being shot up, with the crew being torn to shreds, and some weird stuff going down with these monks…
At any rate, well worth the price, but not a series that I’d cash in on Diaclone or TF’s over. Interesting…
It relates to PRE TF’s through Convertors, which lead to Macross, and other dummed down TF’s like the Deluxe Insecticons.
I also found A tape of DanCougar, another weird Bandai series, kinda like Voltron. At least Orguss is in English.
Borrowed some picts off Ebay of a Decimator. Sort of transforms into a vehicle. They DO love that "Gerwalk" modes...unfortunately I do not so much.
I might post some picts later.

An Orguss KO also shows up in my Dorvack KO set. It is weird because it is like this toy you posted here but it says "Mugen Calibur" for his name.
Come on, you know you want to write up an article on Blow Superior!

Ok, I just watched the whole 6 episodes...this stuff is NOT for kids.
Ya got blood and guts, umpteen wardrobe changes for the blue hair girl, into ever skimpy outfits, till the very end when she ends up in her birthday suit.
What a story, kinda like Hamlet with robots. Ok maybe not, but has that feel to it all.
I have to admit, with all the stuff I know (and some I forgot) I never got into Orguss, robots didn't transform into anything as elegant as a Valk, or even RoadBuster like Jeep, and that's where my main focus started.
Blow S sounds nuts.
I can't imagine what the first series was about. Lots of people die, that's about the best guess at that. Doubtful I'll come across that.

I had one of that figure way back when. It was a knockoff, and was pretty small (maybe 4" high). Yours looks a bit larger than that.
I seem to remember that the peg that held the shield to his arm broke, and I was able to take it back and get a new one, but that was pretty weak too.
For so many years I wondered what this figure was from (but I found out relatively recently).

Orguss02 OVAs is great. Never was meant for kids, teens were the target audience as is the case with most OVAs created at the same period.
Oh and you should not advertise "copies" on dvd, it is illegal and we do not need any trouble with the authorities here on TFans or our affiliated sites. Thank you.
