We really do need a pinned sku thread. It's pretty helpful sometimes...employees are more than happy to plug numbers in.

Hmm... well from what I understand, SKU's are 6 numbers. The 5 digit numbers that are shown are more than likely Hasbro's item numbers. The barcodes do help though. I know there are a lot of different numbers, depending on how a store searches for items. I do appreciate the help, too. I think we'll leave this up and add to it when we get more info.

DCPI number is the code Target uses. It has 2 less digit then a barcode IIRC

Well, I'll answer part of my own question.

To help those who are having trouble acquiring Jetfire, I offer this link:

Print it out and take it to your nearest Wal-Mart, Target, or TRU. They should be able to scan the bar code, but if not, just get 'em to manually enter the UPC code. Oh, yeah, the DPCI # is 087-06-1167.

Cause you can take the barcodes to the store and have an employee look the code up in the system to see if they are in stock at that particular store.

But if you go to Walmart and ask them to look up Alternators Frenzy you are gonna be sh*t out of luck. So, when asking about the codes, using the proper toy name is a smarter move.

No, Hasbro has. The name on the box is Rumble. Any store that is selling it, be it Walmart or online stores, it is listed under the name that Hasbro put on the box.

What I'm saying is if you ask for info and don't use the correct name, you won't be getting any help. If I wanted the sku of ALT Decepticharge, I wouldn't ask for the sku of ALT Dragstrip. Once you get the item home, name it whatever you want. But when you ask other TFans for info, you should use the toy's correct name. That's all I'm saying. That and RIR/FIB.
