Lets try this again and see if we can get something rolling. Kind of lame attempts at it up to now, I know there has to be enough people in this area to make it worth while?

If anyone in the Tampa Bay area is interested in an informal fan club let me know. If something like it already exists, let me know that too


I'm thinking something like just getting together now and then to talk, trade and just have a good time. Maybe do some small film festivals and whatever other kind of activities everyone would be interested in. We don't have to limit it to transformers either.

If anyone is up for it PM me and we can talk about details.

These are a good idea.  We do these in Philly every month.  I must say they've been great.  Also a good way to make some trades and sales without waiting for mail!

The fan event at Toys R Us in Brandon on July 1st?

They're just talking about getting together in General.  If you guys do it Monthly I will try to make it this summer to one.  Im in Florida every summer.  Damon , what the hell you doing in the bahamas on  the internet?

oh and yeah, exactly. I was refering to that other fan event in another thread, so confusing!

This is just an idea for a bunch of us in the area to get together when we can and have a good time playing with transformers.   


So again, anybody in the bay area interested post let me know and see if you can dig up some more peeps.

I am going to Transfancon in Brandon on July 1 though!

what is this transfancon in brandon. is it at the toys r us like they had last year or is some kinda convention. i remember the toyaddict.com being there but there wasnt much else and was kinda dissappointed. owell, i guess somebody has to make it better, i need some info about this(if we can have tables there to sell stuff) and what not. hopefully we can make it better than last years.
      last year's sucked to me because i was looking for swerve(alternator) and i went to brandon thinking if any place had him they we be it. nope, so basically walked in and walked out. they just had the same old energon stuff, maybe more of a selection this year with some more tables selling different stuf would be great. i've got a bunch of old stuff i wouldnt mind selling and its not the same stuff that is cluttering up the shelves at the wal mart or toys r us. maybe something can be worked out with toys r us(if not) then maybe we should start thinking convention for transformers in florida for real. the east coast would love us. bringing a transformers toy con to orlando or tampa would kick ass, i'm tired o talking about it - i want to see it happen----sorry for ranting, i just have a bunch of ideas.

It is the same thing as last year, as far as I recall.  I'll email the organizer about what to do if you want a table to sell. I think I might want one as well. I've got a pile of stuff i'd like to sell and will have more by that time.

You probably won't get any response but there may be people that just show up.  That happens to us.  We had our meet Saturday.  Had ok turnout.  The stuff for sale was great.    A member of 2005 opened up his van load of Blot to sell.  Had a little of everything.

Good idea. The few of us who are in so far will just have to settle on a date and time and we'll announce it here to start with. See what happens.

And if the turnout is small make best of it and post about it. Let them know there will be more.

Freakin A.....I have some bad news guys....

I won't be able to attend Transfancon because I'm going to the Pepsi 400 race with my dad. If it were my friends, I'd cancel, but it's family and I can't turn my dad down. :/  I'll be sure to make the second meeting though!

Well we might not schedule the first meet up on that day then.  So no worries!  Although, I'm getting zero feedback as far as what days WOULD be ok with people.

Well....I guess I'm coming up sooner than I thought.....

Last night my uncle died of a major heart attack 7 blocks from the hospital.  I don't think I can make a meeting that time around, but the next time I come up, I'll try to make it....
