Sorry to hear about your loss.
Well he said to email him in his auction description for a BIN of $350 which seems Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to good to be true. When something like this seems too good to be true, chances are, they are. I had to pay $1500 for my untouched mint boxed VSX set, but mind you that was several years ago when Japanese TF's where the /IN/ thing. Back in 2001 at least, but I cannot recall.
Funny thing is, his pics seem odd to me for some reason... I can't place it, but I think I've seen that TF sign before in someone else's collection. Unfortunatly, I can't recall who's it might have been. Not saying he is a rip off artist, I've had packages lost in the mail/destroyed before. One reason to have tracking and insurance on any item that you are worried about. When I bought my PCDX set from a collector that was clearing out his diaclone collection about 3 or 4 years ago, I had it shipped from the US to Canada, now, duty is always a killer on those big priced items. Still, I was not going to take a chance on it being lost or damaged because I wanted to go cheap and having him mark it as "gift". Instead I sucked it up and paid the customs charges on the $1500US in which it was also insured for. Insurance and tracking is good advice for sellers when sending rare expensive items as well. Most sellers are like, "Not my fault if lost in the mail if you don't pay for insurance or tracking" which may be true, but it certainly gives peace of mind! When I had sold my carded blue Mexican cliffjumper, it was delayed in the mail from reaching it's location in the states from my address in Japan at the time, but I was able to check the internet and confirm that it arrived safetly by being able to see that it was signed for. I mean really, they showed a jpg of the signature recieved so that I know it went to who it was meant to go to! Now that, was piece of mind. I recommend that sellers do this for themselves regardless of buyers not paying for insurance or tracking. It is better to spend a few extra bucks on a large priced item than to have the possibility of something going wrong and having to deal with the headaches that may come with it.
Thought I'd share my 3 cents or so. -Himawari

If your card was supplied by someone other than Paypal, and you paid from the card rather than the account balance, you're 100% covered - just need to be patient as credit card companies have to wait a minimum time before they can write these things off.
Over here, it's 60 days. Not sure about where you are.
There's a lesson here people: Unless the seller has fantastic feedback, ALWAYS Pay them from your credit card.

If you paid him from the card rather than the balance, you should be 100% covered.
What date did you pay him?? Maybe just maybe he's slow rather than 100% dishonest.

wait wait wait...if you pay wth a paypal balance, it isn't "insured"? I am so f*cked then because I just bought 2 items from overseas with my balance. I know atleast one of them will screw me over.
Sad but true philosophy.

It is generally good to keep several things in mind when bidding on eBay.
Check the feedback. If it is a new seller or a seller with lots of negative feedback, do not bid.
Check seller location. If the seller sells DVD´s while beling located in Singapore, the DVD´s are fake. Official Chinese release my skidplate.
If there are photo´s make sure to examine them. If the backgrounds do not match then the seller probably stole them from someone else.
And the most important rule (which was already coined up) is that if it is too good to be true, then it usually is.
I have been cheated once or twice on eBay as well. Sadly there is no guarantee, even if one follows these rules perfectly. But all the good stuff I bought via eBay and the two friends I gained make up for that.

this motherPowerglideer scammed me too link.got some info for ya, youre not the only one, i bought an overlord from this guy(under millikan2003) for $220 and he was all good till he received my payment then all comms stopped on his part. i been scammed before and i used a creditt card this time and got a refund, but i continue to write him and let him know what a Powerglideing thief his is from time to time. i just emailed him now. look at the pictures in these auctions carefully. see anything in common- the same shelf and same starsaber is rapped in plastic just like the auction i bought. request his info and call his ass, if that doesnt work, maybe somebody should pay him a visit. these packages didnt get lost, this mofo never sent them. like they say and i have learned, if it looks too good-then it probably is. i say if something like that shows up, you can always "buy it now" and then research enough to decide if you want to pay for it or not.

I've got rules I follow. I never use BIN for anything unless the seller has over 1000 positive feedback. I figure that is good thing to follow.

Overlord sealed for $220? Now that is too good to be true.
I normally try to stay clear of people in Hong Kong. I know it is an unfair generalization but a lot of bootlegs are made there and purchased a CD-set.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=4879160202But the seller has 100% positive feedback so I am guessing I am good.

There are some good sellers though with less than 1000 in Asia. Only pro sellers based out of hongkong and Singapore have feedback that high. The Japanese sellers almost all have much lower feedback numbers. My feedback is 87 right now because I have only been using ebay for one year...
My point is there are other considerations when judging a seller. Personally, I think the busy sellers take less time answering questions from buyers and don't put as much effort taking photos or describing any negatives about the item. They go for low profit / high volume, so problems are more likely in y experience.

Yeah those kinds of auctions are a gamble. late last year right after I moved to Pittsburgh a gy with no feedback was putting a 1/55 Bandai Super Ostrich macross toy on ebay. They usually go for 400+. This was at 200. to good to be true right? so I emailed him and said I have cash in hand and will straight out buy it off him. Keyword CASH!!! and im a local. for anything like this it helps to meet up with the person and see the merchandise in hand.
