how much is a mib diaclone prime(battle convoy)??????

I think the starting rate for a decent Diaclone Convoy in the box is $150 and up from there. 

The only major difference that I know of is the trailer.  Springs were different, as well as the stickers on the outside, and it had metal plates inside under the electronic stickers. 

There are actually some left over G1 Prime trailers with these metal plates, which managed to enter the TF line, I managed to get one and its perfectly fine for me.

Someday I hope to have one, I would have expected to pay more than $150 or so, though.  Very cool news!

Why do I get the feeling that I just had one of those "Old people" moments where they think that a candy bar is still $.05. 

I think I will have to start tracking Ebay prices to be honest.  THere was some guy posting a BUNCH of Diaclone stuff last month for INSAINE prices, like $300 for a MIB red skids, $1,500 for Blue BS. 

At this rate my $150 price tag is probably a STARTING price...

I'll take my $10 junker G1 Prime trailer I got at a Botcon, make a call to repro.com, get the DIACLONE side stickers made, and stick it up there with a authentic Diaclone convoy complete with drivers and that's good enough for me.

If it was a HUGE difference between the dime a dozen Prime and DV Convoy I'd say SURE SPEND. 

Then again I recall seeing some Diaclones at Botcon, like Marlboor selling for $3K...

On Yahoo Japan boxed ones go for like $350 ish.  A sealed one would be worth more, but $1500 is still a good chunk of change.  However, if it is sealed and the box is in good shape, why not. It will only go up in value.

I will have to double check the Marlboor price, it was either that or $1,300...both of which too much for me. 

A toy is worth what ur willing to pay.  If you feel its a good price, buy it.

$3K seems a bit much for Marlboor...I paid less than 1/2 that for one that was AFA graded.  But I would agree with UltraMarkus, a toy is worth whatever YOU are willing to pay for it.

People might pay $3K for something "Rare" like that, but lets put that $ in a better light.

For $3K you could get say 1 Diaclone Optimus in the box. 

OR for HALF that, get the entire line of BINALTECH (and or Alts) PLUS the Master Piece prime, magnus and even throw in the US release as well for 1/2 that.  $1780 to be exact, just with $50 a piece for each binal, and $100 for the MP's.

Sounds a bit steep to me.  Ask to see photos of the tape and such or the inside styro.

I know on my mint MIB Diaclone convoy the tape long ago lost its adhesiveness.

Unless he can guarantee a sealed MISB convoy, it seems a bit much.

A complete diaclone convoy is hard to find.  There is the little pink car and some other stuff not included with the later TF Convoy.

Don't believe every ebay auction you see. It never came with a pink car, or some of that other stuff. 3 drivers, red, blue, yellow, and the basics.

BTW, for the person or persons interested in purchasing a battle convoy, they never came sealed unless they were taped by the clerk at the toyshop etc. Most diaclone and microchange toys came without tape. One of the biggest reasons why I love to collect these lines, I can open the box! I love the styro packaging as well. Remove the toy, and place it back, no crappy looking torn packaging.

That makes me very happy then.  Now I know for certain that my Diclone convoy is complete, mint.

It's up to you.  Diaclone primes are rare in good condition.

I may sell you mine for less than that if you want to discuss it.  (I'd rate mine as C8.5 box, mint condition, but I'm picky.)

If you have some big doubts, why dont you ask the seller to list the convoy on ebay?  That way if it's under $1300 you get a deal.

How about this:  Why don't you tell the guy that someone in Japan is offering a mint condition Diaclone for less, and then see if the seller will come down in price.    The "walk-away" manuever is a sure-fire way to get a seller to lower the price on something he wants to sell.  He'll contact you if he wants to lower it.

I can't view the photos from the ebay listing at the moment. But if I remember right, the condition of everything for my Diaclone is better than the one from ebay:

-box condition
-less chrome wear (?)
-condition of the paperwork and sticker sheet.

On a rare item like this I'm not sure how to judge price, but I suppose it should be worth more than the one you payed.

Honestly, I'm pretty attached to it.  It's just beautiful in a way that no other TF has ever been to me.  So, I would have to accept a pretty high price to let go of it.
