I recently made an order through this vendor, and have had some trouble getting in contact with them.  I made my order(s) on Jan 22nd, I had to make 2 orders, since their shopping cart would not allow me to place all of my items in one basket.  I had emailed them about this, emailed them a week later asking if the items have been shipped, and just recently I have emailed them and tried calling and have yet to get in contact with anyone.  I was wondering, do you think I should try to dispute this through Paypal?

Thanks for anyone's advice.

Dispute via PayPal. If you paid with a Credit Card, work with them as well.

I've heard some bad things about Decepticon-Matrix. Items either never make it, or arrive really really late. I believe I've heard one good story and that was about it. For the life of me though, I can't remember which board and when. I just know it was last year at some point.

It's been long enough, and you've got proof that you tried contacting them. PayPal would almost have to side with you on this one. If it's a CC you paid with, they'll definitely work hard on getting your money back. Even if the payment was through PayPal.

Good luck man.

thanks for the reply.  i think i'm just going to go ahead and dispute now!  thanks for the advice.

Yeah, I'm having a problem with them too, I made my order in March 15, and paid with paypal and I have yet to hear anything from them, I call onced yesterday, twice today, and sent them three e-mails. I don't see how they could still be in business with  customer service like that.

i finally got my money back, then they sent me some of the items i ordered, and now they want their money for the items.  i told them that they didnt have any obligation to send the items.

I made a complaint to paypal on march 30, and I recieved my items on March 31, with a written apology.  So I withdrew my complaint.

I tried to contact them through e-mail a few years ago and never got a response.
Glad you got your money back thumbsup1.gif

Ya, I was glad I got my money back as well.  Then they shipped me half of my order, and expected me to pay.  I haven't though, seeing as they had no obligation to send me anything.  Those crazy bastards.

My order for a 20th Prime a while back never went through.  Not sure if they ever even responded to me.  Was just another in a long line of vendors whose ads kept me on the hooks long enough to watch the prices of other places skyrocket..

That's why I don't like buying things on the internet.

Well, I made an order with them on 8/2, but haven't received anything yet. I tried emailing their 3 email addresses that I found on their website and paypal receipt, with no response. How do these guys stay in business?

I'm thinking of filing a complaint with paypal if I don't receive anything by next week. Does anyone have decepticon-matrix's phone number?
Magnus Convoy
You have 30 days to file with paypal. You might be too late to get your money back.

Phone number listed under their domain registratin is (402) 770-7117

Thanks, I just double-checked my order, and it was actually placed Aug 7, so I'm in luck. I need to file a complaint with Paypal either tonight or tomorrow.

I googled decepticon-matrix and "ordered" and "no response" and was amazed by what I found. Seriously, these guys need to lose their paypal account. Then there's the ebay feedback:

I don't know if the person running it died or what.

Well, I called the number, and got sent to the answering machine where "Cory (I think) from Decepticon-matrix.com" greeted me and asked me to leave a message. However, the "mailbox was full" and told me to call again. I really think this guy either got seriously injured, died, or up and left. Either way, I'm filing a claim with Paypal.

EDIT: On second thought, decepticon-matrix's website shows the latest "news" being an Aug 22 date, so someone's obviously still running the site.

I went to the Better Business Bureau website: http://www.bbbnebraska.org/commonreport.html?bid=210002179 and found out that the owner is "Corey Koeppen". After some googling, here's a picture of the owner:

Well, my paypal dispute was decided in my favor since decepticon matrix never replied to paypal. But it seems I got less than half my money back. Now I gotta figure out why. What a bunch of crooks.

Latest update about decepticon matrix.com - I got off the phone with paypal, and apparently they could only recover part of my funds since the account is now empty. But decepticonmatrix.com's paypal account is basically frozen until I get the rest of my money back. Other actions they'll eventually take include debt collection agencies that "will give them some real problems" and problems with the credit history. So currently I'm out $50 due to these losers.

Newest update for anyone reading this thread:

Ebay has just deactivated decepticon matrix's account since they don't respond to emails or contact. Looks like more and more people are complaining that they aren't getting the items they ordered.
