I dont like to keep my TFs trapped in a box or in a glass case where i cant take them out occasionally to admire and transform them or rearrange their display on my shelves. Only problem is they get dusty as hell. I use dust wipes or a blow-dryer set on "cool" to get the dust off, but some just got too many nooks and crannys. G1 Shockwave is terrible bc hes got soo many little places for dust to settle. I was just curious to see what some of the other ppl do so they dont damage their precious tfs and their respective stickers.

I keep all of my transformers (that aren’t in a box) in a cabinet with glass doors thumbsup1.gif . Granted a little dust gets in but not that much at all. They have been in the cabinets for about a year and I still haven’t had to dust them clap.gif . Whenever I want to mess around with them I just open the doors and take them out. I got the 2 cabinets (in my “toy room) at Wal-Mart for 80 bucks each (very worth it, 4.5 feet tall, 2.5 feet wide, one foot deep). They do have a problem. The door handles are in the middle so I have a spot in the middle I can’t see do to the “wood, but I just don’t put Transformers there. I also have a 500 dollar eektf.gif glass cabinet in my living room (had to me nice in order for my wife to let me put it in the living room), for all my bust (Transformers and Marvel), statues(Marvel mini-statues), and Armada toys, some Universe, and some RID (its a big cabinet 7 feet tall by 3 feet wide and 1 foot deep). The one in the living room has doors on the side so I pretty much never take them out rumblecry.gif , its just to hard. They do, however; look cool as hell in that cabinet. clap.gif . I almost forgot, I keep all my PVC's (I have them all ect. Starscream with a cape and crown and the original Megatron and Optimus Prime) and my Unicron staue in a home made corner cabnet with plastic doors. Its about 2 feet tall. They look very cool in it. clap.gif
Kurosaki Ichigo
hmm...i keep mine out too. i wonder if a q-tip with a little rubbing alcohol would do the trick? that might work.

Hey megagalvatron, do you got pics of your cabinets? Thanks!

Personally, I don't display mine regularly, I take them out on rotation, it’s more work I know, but I find it well worth it, since I can focus exclusively on one or two TF at a time.
megagalvatron
Sorry man I don't. I don't have a digital camera rumblecry.gif . I am hoping to borrow my Mom's one day so I can put pics up of my collection. If I do I'll post them. Very Proud of my collection clap.gif I have over 200 displayed at a time.
Trailfollower
OK I got one of those really furry looking magna dusters. the thing looks like a horse tail, but it really works good for gettin the little cracks n nat.

Last weekend I decided to clean the TF's I had on display. First time in a long time. I always use the vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attached to it. With a little gentle rubbing I managed to get most of the dust of without damaging them. Unfortunately, I don't manage to clean out all the nooks and crannies, but they get a lot cleaner.

I usually don't clean mine, but then again I don't display mine like you guys do.

But, a rag with very little Mr Clean or Pine Sol might do the trick, just put in very little, this way the scent won't stick around.

I don't right now. They're just all around my bedroom. But I'll be getting a big glass display case before too long I hope...

What I have used to clean them is one of those air in a can things (used for blowing dust off key boards), works pretty good thumbsup1.gif

Hey all the album recordings going great and i finnally have a night off.. so im posting....
I have shelves in a closet to display my older figs which i unfortunately have to dust off alot... but my new ones go into a giant displace case i got from toys r us when i worked there....its from an old barbie display but it has risers and all so u can fit a large amount of figgs in it... (usually a full series/lineup)

well its off to bed for me now ... its only 9:30 but this week i havent gotten home form recording b4 1 am at all and its hard when u work at 6 am mixing cement...
Fortress_Maximus
Oh yes, the compressed air canisters work wonders too! thumbsup1.gif
UnicronimusPrime
I freeze them in carbonite!

Okay, I just leave them there and dust them once a month.
Contessa_Convoy
TO keep mine dust free, I just try to play with them all at least once a week, well for the ones that are out of the boxes! and the rest I blast them with compressed air, you know the stuff you clean your puter with!!
It works real well! try it oh also swiffer's new dusters!
Tantrum
I find that the swifers or the air canisters work the best.
Lostprophet8
Wow, working with cement sucks Rockstar. I feel your pain, as I did that for a few weeks while I helped one of our neighbors remodel their house. These air canisters sound like a great idea. I just got an Omega Prime off the internet and he is a little dusty.
Massdestruction
I use a dry soft bristle toothbrush. It does pretty well getting into the nocks and crannies.
