TOKYO, JAPAN (AP)--April 1st, 2004

In an announcement earlier this week, Japanese children's publication "TV Magazine" kicked off a new contest where 50 lucky readers can win a "Tokubetsu" [special] color Superlink Galvatron, or Black Galvatron.

"I was shocked and relieved at the same time," claimed the Image Award-winning Black Galvatron. "I mean, those jackasses at Takara usually only choose some uppity gold-colored Autobot for these things. It's about time they recognized."

Even though there will only be a very small number of 50 units produced, Black Galvatron assured us that he would "blow all the Autobots to kingdom come."

Black Starscream was unavailable for comment, but a spokeswoman told us that he was very happy for Black Galvatron and wished him the best of luck.

This is a major step for equal oppurtunities in Cybertron! Jazz and Blaster were ashemed to "be black" but at least the Destrons arent afraid to "come out" and show thier true colours.

However, most of the black figures, are limited editions. This could mean that they are only "token black characters". A shame.
