Toys in the box which I open, DVDs, books and comics.

The use of the word "who" is a bit disconcerting....

just toys for me, thanx
Shockwing
Comics, DVDs, and mostly boxed bots like E-hobby, Masterpiece, and Binaltech (that stay in the box). If I have a real jonesing to fondle a bot, I'll buy an Alternator.

Was fondle the wrong word?

Everything but artifacts(or do statues count as artifacts?- if thats the case then i collect everything)
masterminicon
I collect figures in the box then take them out and display them, unless they're so worth keeping in the box, but I display them in the box.  I have the DVDs.  I have the DW poster of Jazz, Prowl, and Mirage.  I have the ultimate TF Guide.  I have some of the comics.  I however should have thought about what "artifacts" means, because I don't buy the statues.

And Shockwing, fondle was the wrong word.  Maybe a better subsitute should have been fiddle.

I don't know if statues count... They look like toys, I think that is the problem... I count them as toys in my checklists tho.

I plan on buying all of the U.S. released toys. I keep them loose and pitch the packaging (except for bios, stats, and, sometimes, artwork). I also collect any Transformers fiction, which includes the comics and DVD's.

VGMStudios

Drewbie

Satan's Camaro
For me it's a combination of the above...

Toys: Mostly out of the box, but I keep the boxes for the ones I can repackage, and I have some figs that are displayed in their boxes, but rest assured that they have been removed from their cardboard prisons and been given the proper attention that they deserve. I also buy loose complete and incomplete figures if the price is right (a loose complete BW Transmetal Tarantulas for $7, and a loose incomplete G1 Mirage for $29? SOLD! thumbsup1.gif)

Comics: I have some of them, but I mostly wait for the TPB's, and I'll get those if I can afford them and if I come across them....oh, and also if they're good or at the very least interesting.

DVD's: As long as I can play them on my DVD player, I either have them or will be getting them when they come out.

As far as statues, and other stuff...the statues are too expensive, and I really have no interest in collecting every single item that is TF related(although if I had a Decepticon t-shirt and a couple mugs with Autobot and Decepticon logos on them that would be nice).

Before: MISB
nowadays: MIB...or  MISB for reissue
Tripredacus
Yea who would be so crazy to buy DVDs they can't use in their player?

JustLOKIPLVY
I collect mostly new, however once opened unless it's a reissue, alt or main line leader class will only keep the specs, and instrustions. I've also nearly collected everything DW put ot including trade paperbacks and I've also collected the first four titan book paperbacks. I have several posters on the wall and I have all of G1 including the movie as well as the first release of Beast Machines, first half of Armada, and all four releases of Energon on DVD.
