My friend and I have had problems moving our collections from home and around campus as we move from dorm to dorm. Sometimes, when packed in boxes, his toys would scratch each other rumblecry.gif , no matter how he tried to pack and seperate them huffermad.gif . Then, he realized that he could put them in plastic bags for the move, and he could remove them scratch free optimuslaugh2.gif1 !
Maximo Prime
The last time I moved, BM was the latest line that was out. I wrapped each of my figures in toilet paper (which was bountiful at the time). Worked out great!

Though, my collection has literally doubled since then, as i am now at 400. dunno what i'm gonna do hehe smiletf.gif

Primal-Convoy
My mUm has just moved home and i wa stuck in japan. she wrapped EVERY SINGLE ONE sperately in bubble-wrap or tissue paper. Primus bless her!
Smokes
I just packed them in boxes with various clothes. No Problems.
Trailfollower
Layed them in rows seperated by that egg foam stuff.
Tantrum
I've found that bubble wrap(if you have the time) and/or the plastic bag method work the best for me.

What luck! A discussion about transporting TF's a week before I'm moving! This morning I managed to get my hands on a large sheet of that plastick bubbly paper and I'm hoping my collection will survive the journey. It's safe to say I'm utterly paranoid about it... Did any of your bots ever get damaged when moving??
transformerjunkie
yeah, when i went back to korea from the US, my wife bubble wrapped my armada collection (including unicron) and packed them in a foot locker, my transformers were in perfect condition.
Mike.
im moving in 6 days. I bought a 130 feet of bubble wrap for my collection biggrintf.gif

The way I pack mine varies depending on which series they are:
G1 originals- These old warriors get wrapped in toilet tissue then in bubble wrap and then put in a smallish box so they don't move around and bump eachother.
Vacuum metalized toys- Lotsa tissue, small box like with G1's.
Armadas. These guys are tough so they get put in bags and then in a box which is then filled with packing foam.
Unicron- Put in planet mode, big spikes turned down and rings (in wing mode) rapped in bubble wrap, then uni is treated like a G1 and put in a box that fits him snugly.
BW- They get bubble wrap then separated by tissue sheets.
Holiest of holies (MIB)- Technically they are not MISB they are just MIB because I take em out and play with em then put them back in when I'm done. These Tf's are all in mint condition and are mostly G1's or reissues. I wrap their boxes in tissue (No dents here clap.gif ) and arragne them in a box.

Now that is the bizzare way I pack my guys thumbsup1.gif

I too recommend ziplock baggies for smaller figs. But if you got foam popcorn or bubblewrap it is also good for larger figs. Overall, separate them into boxes with old clothes acting as packing insulation. Good luck!
