I did this today, hope someone likes it. Note that I try to fill in the gaps for the questions regarding Beast Wars. All other chapters after this are pure fanfiction, not relating to previous storylines.
- Webworld -
In the year 2010, The Decepticons are quite concerned with Galvatron's behaviour concerning the Autobots. Ever since being damaged by being in a lava pool, Galvatron has had a fanatical obsession with the prospect of destroying the Autobots. Cyclonus and Scourge trick Galvatron into going to a planet called Tokulon by telling him that it is an Autobot staging ground.
Preparations were made previously with the people of Torkulon, and upon their arrival, Galvatron is taken into custody. The psychologists attempt time after time to repair Galvatron's insanity using a process known as Maximal Intervention. They are unable to cure him. As a last attempt, the natives connect Galvatron to their super computer in the hopes that their computer can fix them. When the two are connected, Galvatron decides to download its data and fight back. The enraged Galvatron is angered much that there are no Autobots to be destroyed, but also that the fleshings of Torkulon were tormenting him so.
Galvatron seeks out the source of the computer and finds it. In great pain and with great anguish, Galvatron destroys the computer. After reuniting with Cyclonus and Scourge, they begin to notice that everything on the planet starts to die. The Torkulons' computer was the spirit of the planet, and the Decepticons leave them on their dead world.
- Desperation -
After the Decepticons had fled, it became obvious to the Torkulons that they needed to escape their dead planet or die. They send out a beacon for help and ships arrive to take them from their world. The Torkulons are given amnesty on different planets, and colonies are set up for them to live in. And one of those friendly planets happened to be Nebulos. Once settled, the Torkulons were able to intermix with the Nebulon society.
While working secretly in underground bases, away from the prying eyes of the Nebulons, the Torkulons met up with a sinister sub-race known as the Hive. The Hive had great technology, and the Torkulons were able to understand it quite well. Covert operations were created without the Hive's knowledge to create mind control devices, similar to the ones used on their home planet. The Torkulons began to use their mind control devices to implant suggestions into the minds of the Hive. It wasn't long before all of the Hive was under their control.
While the Hive were being controlled by the Torkulons, they were unaware of this fact. They had believed they were in control of their lives, even though they were not. The Hive then began to take over certain aspects of the above ground, making a problem for the Nebulons. With this vantage point, the mind control machines were moved to the surface, all the while the Hive thinking them to be power generators and communication devices. It was then that the Torkulons turned their devices on the Nebulons. They implanted a fail-safe suggestion into their minds. In the event of great need, the people of Nebulos would join the Torkulons, and eventually exact revenge against Galvatron.

- Infiltration -
The Golden Age of Cybertron is continuing and the Autobots are living in peace with the remaining Decepticons. The Nebulons that had become Headmasters, Powermasters and Targetmasters are also on Cybertron. Ships travel back and forth between Nebulos and Cybertron on a regular basis.
Few reports of crime surface but in one instance it was particularly disturbing. Soundwave, Ratbat, Buzzsaw, Ravage and Overkill break into the Infocore computer system and steal information relating to sparks. They then steal a starship and escape into space. They are followed by a group of Autobots including Hoist, Hubcap, Mirage, Prowl and Sandstorm.
One ship arrives with diplomats and related staff members from Nebulos. They had arrived to finalise a formal treaty between the two planets. They were given accomodations and were left unguarded because they were from an ally planet. However the Autobots had very lax security defenses at this point. Most of the security counter-measures were aimed at infiltration from space. To save resources in the rebuilding of Cybertron, no cameras or standard monitoring devices had existed on the surface any longer.
During the night, a group of 3 Nebulons had snuck away from their quarters. They entered a hatch in the ground and decended into the bowels of Cybertron. Many days had passed, and some Autobots had wondered where the other Nebulons had gone. It was thought that perhaps they had gotten lost, so a search party was formed to find them. They would search in vain because the three Nebulon spies had arrived at their destination: The Chamber of Vector Sigma!
Once inside the chamber, it was noticed that Vector Sigma was not awake. It was thought that perhaps it could not detect the Nebulons. They immediately began setting up the equipment that they had carried. Tubes of green glowing liquid were placed inside the machinery. The machine first created a vortex that allowed them to teleport electronic devices just outside of the chamber. These devices were moved some distance away and interconnected with the machine in the chamber. The main device outside the chamber was in fact a computer terminal. It was strange looking and shaped like a ring.
They turned on their machine and they had left to return to the surface. Once returning to the surface, they noticed the Autobots were looking for them, so they pretended to be lost. The Autobots returned them to their quarters where they were scolded by the diplomats. With their mission completed, and the treaty signed, the Nebulons departed back to their planet.
While the Autobots were enjoying their new life and rebuilding the surface of Cybertron, the machine was whirring away and generating more of this green fluid. It came to a certain point where the fluid had completely filled the inner chamber. The Nebulon's main purpose was to re-create their organic computer that Galvatron had destroyed. Galvatron had taken that which gave them life, therefore the best revenge for them was to take from him what gave the Cybertrons life: Vector Sigma. Once the creation was complete, the main terminal had powered off, sealing the chamber and it's liquid inside with Vector Sigma.
- Invention -
After a time, many Nebulons on Cybertron became sick. It became apparent that the human element of their body was begining to die. It was a grave time that had occurred at that point, but the Autobots were able to remedy the situation. They called for the top scientists on Nebulos to devise a way to save their warriors of the past. Ships had arrived on Cybertron and the Nebulon scientists began to work on their solution.
What was created was a process that was able to take the life force from a humanoid creature and convert it into a spark, the life-force of all Cybertronians. It was true that they were playing god, but there was no other alternative. The Autobots had become attached to their partners, and were experiencing a bout of sadness that they had not ever encountered before. When it was revealed that a process was created to save the Nebulons, there was great joy. The conversion process began immediately. Upon the transferrance, there was a period of sickness that the soul had felt, which did not last very long, and was quickly gotten used to.
- Amnesty -
With Decepticon leadership absent, the Predacons attempt to take control. While certain groups of Decepticons are committing petty crimes against the Autobots, the vast majority of them simply wish for peace. The Predacons campaign to unite the Decepticons once more, and to join the Autobots. Bludgeon is the leader of the Decepticons on Cybertron and attempts to take down the Predacons.
The Predacons rally enough support to defeat the Decepticons and imprison their leaders. The Autobots had, at this point, ceased to use their faction as a name and reverted to simply being Cybertronians. It is now illegal to wear the sigil of the Decepticons, or to claim to be one. The remaining Decepticons are put through a screening process and retraining. Upon completion of this program, they are granted amnesty, otherwise they are used as slave labor. Most of the Decepticons who are unable to pass the courses are sent to the Cybertronian Moon Replacement Operation being held at an orbiting space station. The Predacons also create a peace treaty with the Cybertonians.
- Unknown Visitors -
While the moon rebuilding process is underway, a ship crashes into it. Three robots are found to be on board. They are Tarantulus, Cicadacon and Seaclamp. The three robots are put into quarters and examined as their technology is much different than those of Cybertron. The Cybertronian scientists study the three and their ship to learn its secrets. The three robots speak a language that has a language that cannot be translated to Cybertronian in its written form. It is found that the technology in which they used to survive was called "protoformic," but that is the best translation available.
The protoformic technology is found to be more efficient than the technology currently being used on Cybertron. A committee is formed and it is determined to be in Cybertron's best interest to incorporate the protoformic technology into Cyberton. Learning the lessons of the past, to be more efficient is a better alternative than Cybertron running out of energon again in another six million years.
Other technological wonders from the visitors' ship include CR Chambers, which are pods that the protoforms can enter to heal themselves; Energon dampening force fields, which weaken the effects of energon poisoning, and various other marvels.
Translation of the ship's computer begins and information about Cybertron's past that was previously unknown are revealed to the bewildered scientists. Evidently, these three beings are from a group of Cybertronians that had been exiled from Cybertron by the Quintessons before the Autobot rebellion. The planet they were exiled to was known as Predacus, and was the third planet in a tri-star system. The ruler of Predacus was a giant robot known as Tripredacus, and he was made of three other robots.
They had ended up killing their planet, because unlike Cybertron, it was an organic planet, which was the reason for the creation of their protoformic technology. During the death of the planet and before their technology could fix it, there was a period of unrest. A failed coup attempt resulted in one of the Tripredacus leaders fleeing from the planet.
On the second planet lived the original inhabitants of the star system. They were known as the Blentrons. The Blentrons had been using the third planet for mining and were greatly angered by the presence of Tripredacus. However, the Blentrons received their orders elsewhere and were not allowed to engage Tripredacus unless they had invaded their space. The people of Tripredacus did not know of the Blentrons existance at that time. They did not know where the space boundry was. So when the Tripredacus people began to evacuate the planet Predacus, the Blentrons' attacked them as they entered. Only one ship was able to escape the onslaught... the one that had crashed into Cybertron's partial moon.
The three protoforms were brought out of their stasis and formally welcomed as representatives of a foreign planet. Since they were the last remaining people of their race, they did not need to become Cybertronians as the rest of the Autobots had done. During the ceremony, Cicadacon recognises one of the Autobots as being the third leader of the Tripredacus. It is Ramhorn! The now four members of Tripredacus decide to join the ranks of the Predacons, whose main purpose now is to create defense technology.
- Conspiracy interlude -
The Cybertronian scientists working on the protoform project create a formal name for it, the division becomes known as the Maximal Division, and the scientists involved become known as the Maximals. Elsewhere on Cybertron, Tarantulus is secretly working on a virus to terminate the workings of the robotic life, and only allow the protoformic to survive. He completes his work and releases it into Cybertron.
With this dire event, the scientists develop a similar process to that of the Master Transfusion used to migrate souls from humans to sparks. The process migrates the sparks of robotic life into protoformic life.
- Visions of things to come -
Prowl, Mirage and Sandstorm return from their mission to capture Soundwave and with him another previously unknown Transformer: Megaplex! Soundwave admitted to follow Ratbat's order to steal Megatron's spark sample from Infocore and use it to create a clone. The sample was incomplete and thus it had created a docile Megaplex.
The Maximals gain information regarding Soundwave's cloning process and plan to make clones for slave labor. For their first test, a random spark is chosen from Infocore. Unbeknownst to the Maximals, the random spark was chosen by the computer that the Torkulons had installed many years ago, since it was connected to Infocore. The spark that was delivered showed up under a fake name, and was in fact, Starscream's. The first test protoform is created and named Protoform X.
Protoform X is a kind-hearted, simple minded clone. His first task besides basic programming is to build a protoform, of which he is taught by the Maximals. It took a while and many failed attempts but at last he had succeeded. His next task was to take an existing spark and transfer it into the protoform for slave labor. He was taken to Starbase Rugby where a small prison was kept.
His host on the space station was named Depth Charge. The Starbase was not only a prison, but it also served travellers as well. Depth Charge was new to the station, as his previous post was managing a power plant. But a terrible accident had occurred there, and while he was able to save many robots, he was forever scarred by what he saw. With Protoform X's simple way of looking at life, he was able to help Depth Charge get better, and they became friends.
To start with Protoform X's task of doing a spark transfer, Depth Charge picked a prisoner named Wonko, who was nicknamed "Wonko the Sane" by his fellow inmates. He began work on the project, but a change began to slowly overtake him. The programming walls that the Maximals (read: Torkulons) had put in place were beginning to break down. Protoform X became less interested in his duty and more interested in researching the Great War, the Decepticons, and especially Starscream.
Depth Charge had warned him to not speak of that subject, especially Starscream, because it brings forth many bad memories. Protoform X began to research it on his own, and become more of a loner. Depth Charge figured that he was just "growing up" and that he should just give him space. Depth Charge noticed a change in Protoform X's behaviour, but when asked, Protoform X said he felt fine.
Then Protoform X's abilities in science began to get sloppy. He still managed to transfer Wonko into the protoform, but the activation kept failing. Protoform X soon lost interest in completing the project and the Maximals recalled him and the protoform back to Cybertron.
It was almost time to depart for Cybertron when Protoform X was jailed for 6 days for blowing a merchant barge out of a docking bay... while it was being unloaded. All the human creatures had died. Protoform X played it off as being a mistake. The Starbase Administrator, Sky Garry, pressured Depth Charge into jailing Protoform X because he was a danger to the station. But Protoform X breaks free from his prison using great strength, and goes on a rampage. He appears to have a new ability as he begins to suck the life out of the people he had killed. He then confronted Depth Charge and they battled. Protoform X pushed Depth Charge into a space ship and had it launch "to the other end of the galaxy." It had launched and Protoform X got into the ship that was prepped for him for his journey back to Cybertron. He did not exactly know the controls of the ship and accidently pressed the button to dump the secondary fuel compartment. He managed to get the launching mechanism working, and hit the afterburner and launched out of the station. Depth Charge saw that he was not going in the same direction as his ship, and also a trail of flame from Protoform X's ship to the docking bay. The station then exploded!
During the time in transit between Starbase Rugby and Cybertron, events were occuring on Cybertron for the better. New technology had been completed known as "trans-warp drive." Which allowed for faster space travel using the ability to "bend space." The Tripredacus Council (as they had become known), the Predacons and the Maximals created a joint treaty and formed the Pax Cybertronia Alliance. The Predacons had released Megaplex from testing and began to reprogram him for loyalty to Cybertron.
- Beast Wars T Minus 2 -
Maximal Interceptors caught up with Protoform X's ship and disabled it. They did not attempt to board. A sub-commander named Optimus Primal was in command of the fighter group. A scan was performed and it was revealed that Starscream was the sole occupant. A message was sent back to Cybertron. On receiving the message, the Maximal Elders found that thier original spark pattern did indeed match Starscream's and that the name on it was faked. In an effort to cover up this grave mistake, all information regarding the project was hidden.
When the ship reached Cybertron orbit, Protoform X escaped in a small escape pod. He landed on Cybertron and was met by Rampage and his planetary defense squad. Protoform X attacked and defeated this squad easily, but when he tried to suck out Rampage's energy, their sparks became intertwined. Unfortunately, no one was around to witness this event. It caused such a shock to Protoform X that his body went into stasis lock. Rampage's body was now lifeless. The Maximals came to arrest Protoform X and took him to a holding cell. Upon arriving at the prison, Protoform X came back online and attempted to break free but was unsuccessful. At that point he also found that he was unable to absorb energy any longer.
The Maximals load a ship to drop off a shipment of prisoners to a new prison colony. The prisoners are shipped in stasis, and among them is Protoform X. A new administration group for the colony was to take the prisoners there, and they also were in stasis. The ship's crew was Cheetor, Optimus Primal, Rhinox and Rattrap.
- Beast Wars T Minus 1 -
A Predacon scout ship finds a derelict starship floating in space. It is brought to a nearby planet for study. They find that there is no one inside but Decepticon sigils cover it. The computer scans reveal that a spark and an intelligence is present and that the ship is actually alive. They extract the spark and take it back to Cybertron. When it arrives, Megaplex is given the task to study it. During his research he is shocked to learn that it is in fact the intelligence of Decepticon Commander Scorponok! He keeps this information secret from the rest of the Predacons, except for his close colleagues, Tarantulus, Terrorsaur and Dinobot. He goes to a scrapyard to acquire parts and finds a protoform hidden away. It is, in fact, the failed protoform that Protoform X was working on, and also he found a robot head.
He takes these back to his lab and he takes out the personality component out of the head. He tests it and finds it has a 28% failure rate, but that the loyalty programming is intact. He reinstalls the primary program into it and connects the head to the protoform body. He works with it for a few weeks, and the Protoform comes alive, and begins to input data from Infocore. In what was perhaps a glitch in the personality component, the data input for Earthen insects kept looping. When Megaplex returned to check on the progress, he found that the programming was incomplete, but decided to end the process. The protoform then was allowed to pick his own name, and it chose the name of Waspinator.
Pretending to be building a new protoform, he sells extra parts to trade in for a new protoform shell. He installs the spark of Scorponok into the new Protoform and awakens hime. Scorponok is grateful for his reactivation and Megaplex tells him that his name is Megatron! He does note that he is not the original, however but he had encountered documents that prompted him to bring back the cause and adopt his new name.
At a secret meeting of the Tripredacus Council, Tarantulus is given the instruction to reveal to Megaplex/Megatron the location of the hidden golden discs on Cybertron. The location is in the Iacon Archives, 1 kilometer below the building known as Iacon.
