One of teh coolest G1 gestalts ever...the proto gets leaked on eBay...AND UNIVERSE IS DOOMED TO END IN THE SUPPOSED NEAR FUTURE. THE ONE TOY I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT FROM THE LINE. I hate you, HasTak.
It does look pretty cool. I like the color scheme better that the original(those bright pinks, greens, turquoise, lilacs, lavenders, fill-in-a-flowery color__________, etc. just looks horrible now. Although some of my clothes were that color back in the days too 
, guess it wuz the style back then, but just doesn't work now-a-days.)
One thing that strikes me as being odd though, is it looks like a finished product & not a prototype. The colors look too vibrant(not the typical prototype coloring or shaping) & I didn't notice any "not for sale" stamps embedded anywhere.
I have a feeling this piece might have already been mass produced & there is a stash lying around somewhere, waiting for a vendor. It is already going for an absurd $350 on Ebay!! I hope that the seller is not robbing anybody, in the event it does come out on the market, if his auction misleading in anyway...

Meh...eight hundred and then some. Much as I want that set, no. It looks way too well-made to be a knockoff, very nice paint apps and finish, and they're all, of course, Geewun accurate...however, this might be solid proof that a prototype of the Piranhacons DOES exist and that they either were going to or may yet still release it under the Universe banner before Hasbro gives it the axe.
It's not quite a finished product because his hands aren't finished. They don't have the connector pices in them that make it possible to hold any of the weapons. $810 is insane for that!
Wow, this sold as a prototype for $810 on eBay, & now you can purchase it in the collector's club store, is that right? I've kinda been outta the loop, haven't been on these boards since April 28th, 2008, real busy w/ preq's for Pharmacy school. How much does this piece now retail for, & is it for sale yet?

yeah they will be selling it out of the Collectors club to anyone for $120 its rumoured but people seem to think $240 is more like it.
but $800+ wow.... just to get a prototype that's not even got crazy non production colours...

The TFCC website says $119 for members (add $40 for non-members, which just buys you a memebership).
The $240 figure was just idle speculation probably based on TFCC's BotCon figure pricing, but forgetting that BotCon convention costs are included in the Botcon figure pricing.
