Rick Flag Sr sacrificed himself in stopping the former Blackhawks' nemesis, the War Wheel.

Rick Flag Jr died in the explosion you're talking about.

And then there's Rick Flag III, whose whereabouts are unknown but he is indeed alive.
Starscreamer
ok....then who is that in Checkmate???
Marshall
Lex is possible, and as for the knowledge of the Batcave... Identity Crisis, anyone?

My brother thinks he might be a member of the bat family.

But, hereis something cool, in June 2007, they will be releasing 52 figures, series 1 includes, Isis, Batwoman, Animal man, Supernova, and Booster Gold.
Strikeback
OK, is that Emerald Eye the same one that Emerald Empress of the Fatal Five uses?
Hadlen Weltall
it'd be nice if that 52 booster figure comes with the sponsors decals. Now where's the Montoya and Question two pack?
Marshall
Okay, Here is a theory and a half.

It involves the identity of Supernova.

Who knows about using light as a weapon?

Like Superman said, he is too good to be new.

Re-read his and Booster's fight in issue 15, he acts as though he knew what Booster was like.

The insults were similar Booster and another hero used to have.

The Doom Patrol's resurrection, as part of Infinite Crisis

And, Supernova knew Batman's secret Identity, who would?

And all of this leads to the theory that, Supernova, with his light based powers, is really a hero who had a light based Gun.

I think he could be Ted Kord.

Also, Ted was not married, his business would have fallen apart with his death, but yet, Skeets was made by Kord industries.

Coincedence, I think not.

I hope Booster does.

I would totally buy Montoya and Question.

Batman's identity wasn't compromised in Identity Crisis. Jean already knew his identity, which was stupid anyway. Unless your spouse is a fellow "cape," they shouldn't have a clue as to who people really are behind the mask.
Marshall
Well, I mean, if he knew, and had his mind tampered with, like the other villians, then he might have remembered.
Hadlen Weltall
..... Ted not dead...? um.... hmm.... alternate earth ted?
Marshall
or, alternate timeline, the possibilties are endless.
Big Grim
holy poop, Wacker left DC for Marvel!

Yup. It will eventually become hers, cause shes from the same time as the legion.
Marshall
Wow, that is kinda cool.
Marshall
It isn't Luthor.
Hadlen Weltall
okay another conspiracy theory bites the dust.

btw. INFINITE CRISIS Hardback's out. Brand new Hero Fold out in the ending. I just thumbed through it but its much thicker with the extra pages put back in.
Marshall
I saw it when I got week 22

I am going to have to pick it up when I have the money.
Big Grim
anyway you can scan and post the hero fold out?
Hadlen Weltall
would if I could Grim, but I don't have a scanner.
Reading through the book some more, there's been another big fold out. its right after Mr Terrific and Ragman's talk about religion. Its all the heroes that are gathering in the church.
Quite a few edits to the text; when Superboy and SB Prime are fighting, I remember Superboy saying "YOU STUPID SUNOVA....." when he gets up from the rubble after Prime knocks away Krypto, now it says "LETS GO!"
also in the final chapter when Breach explodes Captain Atom is disoriented saying "that other Earth..." refering to his time in the Wildstorm universe.

The splash page of the battle in Metropolis has been colored in now. so all the characters you see fighting are in full color and not just a red wash like before. They also touched up the battle of the Green Lanterns vs Superboy for added flair.
There's an added page during the battle in Metropolis, batman, robin and nightwing fighting Deathstroke, which fills in to the next page which was in the original with Batman planting Slade's face into the pavement. Also its been edited to prove Nightwing survives, with Dr Midnight standing over him during Batman and Alexander's talk in the end. Also edited was the finalle where Dick and Tim are standing on the boat waiting for Bruce and Dick's got his right arm in a sling. Its not a bad edit, but the fact he's got a busted arm and he's got both hands on his hips seems a bit off.

New post:

Well its official or at least I think so. We're going to see some fall out from the Crisis. Not in the way we're seeing but whats not being seen except for what happened to Donna's History of the DCU, Nightwing and I think Ion. THE MONITORS ARE COMING.
Starscreamer
ok, everyone sing it with me...

"the Black Adam's Family! duh duh de da! *snap snap*"
Hadlen Weltall
dud dud de da *SNAP SNAP*

meantime, I forgot to say, the new issue of Nightwing feels like Nightwing again.
Big Grim
the Monitors will be "monitoring" those who should've died during the Crisis: Nightwing, Supergirl, Donna, Kyle, and a fifth unnamed individual.
Father Time
Well, what I think: there's 4 heroes, and there are 4 normal monitors. There is one person who we know will have an continuing impact on the New Universe, and one Monitor who dresse like the Anti-Monitor. Probably, the both of them are linked. Ergo, I think Superboy-Prime is the last one.

check out this discussion on the Infinite Crisis Hardcover. Looks like Earth 2 is still around, but you probably already knew that if you read JLofA #0.

I wonder if it's going to a recap issue or will Monel "Valor" show up in the current DCU in the Modern age.

DC Tangent lives.
Marshall
I have a theory involving the person Skeets was referring to.

I think it is J'onn.
Big Grim
cool stuff happening here. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are still voting on who should join, even though it seems to be forming throughout the course of the story without them. Hal, Black Canary, and Arsenal close in on the culprits who stole Red Tornado's body. Vixen gets attacked and her totem is stolen. Black Lightning finds a conspiracy involving kidnapping villains and stealing their powers. And Red Tornado (alive and human) decides to go out and help find out who stole his body. I don't know how the big three are oblivious to all of this, but I can't wait for the next issue. Oh, and Superman and Wonder Woman decide to vote if Bats should be in the League or not. And they even discuss letting Booster into the League. Very interesting.
Strikeback
So, I guess this was Luthor's plan all along--seed the world with super-powered beings, then let them loose so that chaos will reign supreme. Then he'll probably step in and profess that powered beings (re: Superman) aren't the real heroes and that humans who work and build themselves up from nothing (re: himself) are.
Hadlen Weltall
well I think Luthor's plans are going to backfire as almost always. I got "Up Up and Away" in TPB and re-reading the beginning there's a lot of reference to whats going to transpire in 52. The murder charges that he is being held accounted for, the imbezzlement charges. Last week plus what we've seen of the New Years edition of 52's cover (the raining bodies in flames) something's going to happen. He's already killed one of his new meta beings.
Father Time
*Does some math*

Hey, you know what? Week 1 was released on 10 May 2006, right? The Wednesday 52 weeks after Week 1's release falls on 2 May 2007. Hence, 52 will end on 5/2/07.
Hadlen Weltall
.....wow. Never thought of that one klarion. Meantime, back of the last issue of a comic had the Dan Didio editor chatter and said something about Meltzer not spoiling something with Booster. Is there going to be a Booster Gold 2?

I find it funny how DC managed to make Booster Gold the next Hawkeye. tounge1.gif

read JLofA #2, they consider letting Booster into the League. I mentioned this in the JLofA thread.

It's also sounded like they were talking about just giving the suit to someone else.

To me, it sounded not that they were talking about a specific Booster Gold, but to search for another character to carry the name, in honour of a fallen hero. The phrase "There are better ways to honor Ted" could be either a mix-up, replacing Michael's name for Ted's, or the idea to give a certain person named "Ted" the suit, and with that, the name and honour of Booster Gold. In fact, all evidence in that scene suggests that "Booster Gold" is gone, is fallen.
Big Grim
probably honor Ted (Blue Beetle) by getting a new Booster Gold on the team since Booster was his best friend and there's already a new Blue Beetle.
Father Time
So, don't honour Michael, but Ted? Is Ted somehow a bigger hero than Michael? It's Ted is important, but Micheal isn't?

Sorry, BG, but that doesn't really sound right to me. If it is that way, it's bad writing, because no way Blue Beetle is a bigger hero than Booster Gold. All heroes are supposed to be equal, first, second or third tier. Creating a new incarnation of a hero just as a sidekick to Blue Beetle isn't right, nor very likely.
Father Time
Dr. Impossible's line of "I'm not stupid. Not anymore." is very interesting. So he has artificially increased intelligence. I wonder who it could be...

Also, in JLA#0, we know that 2 of the future stories are already worked on. We also know the Earth2 scene is one of the 2. Which one could be the other one? My vote is on Lex "He was my son" scene.
Big Grim
course Ted's the bigger hero, he wasn't in it for fame and fortune. Michael's final days were hardly honorable. Plus, there are heroes (like Bats) who would be more inclined to add a new Booster out of respect for Ted and not Michael.
Father Time
Bats was the one who voted against, saying "There are better ways to honor Ted". And I certainly do not see the other 2, Superman and Wonder Woman, doing that. They value personal effort. Even if they would think Booster was in it for the wrong reasons (which isn't in their character to be so judgemental), then they would still value Booster Gold for the heroics that he performed, no matter how his last days were. To them, there aren't any "Second tier" heroes. Everyone who helps save lives is equal to them. Batman, yes, he would look at people's motivation, and he would be so judgemental (Pre-IC Batman, that is. Post-IC, I'm not so sure). But if they wanted to honor Blue Beetle by creating a new Booster, I would consider that to be highly out of character for the Big Three.
