yeah, there's gonna be a new OMAC comic book series.
But yeah, even Lex knows not to exclude the Joker. He may not like Joker that much, but he knows it's dangerous to leave him out.

don't you just love how guys like Alex are always so high and mighty when things are going there way. But when it's all over and they're facing they're own mortality, after causing many others to face theirs, he's just a crybaby begging for mercy. Totally got what he deserved.
I wonder where Brainiac was in all of this, he showed up in the Teen Titans/Outsiders crossover alongside the real Lex, but I don't think he's been seen since.
Funny thing about Captain Marvel Jr dropping to "Jr" means he can't say his own name since he speaks the words "Captain Marvel" to transform, as opposed to Billy, Mary, and Black Adam saying "Shazam."

Ok, so the League is being relaunched with issue #0 on July 19th. Here's the cover for issue #1, in case you haven't seen it yet. Now, half the people (mostly from Donna's team) on this page are still MIA following the events in Infinite Crisis #6. I wonder if this means they'll be back by then, or if it's just one of those things where the cover has nothing to do with the content. I also wonder which of these members will make the cut. I am disappointed that neither Steel or Nightwing appear on the cover, it'd be nice if they made it into the League as well. So far we only know that Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman will be in the League. We don't know who else or how many other members. So which of these people on the cover do you think will make it in? And which guys would you like to see make it that are not on the cover?

a few things to point out, arent a few of those people dead? like Tempest? and that looks like the Aurther version of Aquaman, not the new guy, and it looks like Kyle Rayner is still in his GL costume, not his Ion costume, plus they have Captain Marvel in there too. all that said, im assuming the pic has nothing to do with the actualy content

Some of those people, like Donna and Hawkman may return by then. Tempest isn't a confirmed death, and we know Aquaman is still around. As for Kyle and Captain Marvel, who knows. But it looks like the All-New Atom is standing on Elongated Man's shoulder.

that two page run was funny. and I think Skeets is suffering from a surge of historical misinformation (shifts in the timestream).
but I like how its going to work. I just wish we had something to honor our pre-crisis fallen, Theodore "Blue Beetle" Kord. considering booster's connection to him, if this ceremony continues in next week's chapter, I'd like to hear him say something about that.
Other side of things:
Seeing the Themescaran embassy becoming the Kandaq embassy, a new villians society forming. THE NEW DETECTIVE IN GOTHAM! THE QUESTION! and Ralph Dibny's new caper. Steel's taking the pro-active route as his mentor's flag (What Would Superman Do) and teaching his neice that there's more to being a hero than just the costume. 52 is going to be good.

Didio has been quoted as saying the Flash you see in the beginning of the new Flash series may or may not be the current Flash. I hate it when he's vague like that. Barry will never be back, he has the most significant and meaningful superhero death. Bringing him back would be the last straw.

if you've been reading Birds of Prey, then you know that Barbara's regained the use of her legs. But the writer claims that she will not become Batgirl again cuz she is more effective as Oracle.
Phil Jiminez is ok at times, but this shoulda been done all teh way thru by Perez. Ivan Reis' pencils are ok. Jerry Ordway sucks. Couldn't have bigger and hotter names like Rags Morales have done it for example. I like Jiminez, but his E2 Supes and Lois looked creepy, besides being old and all.

It's being developed by Snowblind Studios, which automatically makes it kickass.
I just hope there's a "comic book" mode where everybody's powers are properly represented. have it unlocked after the end of the game or something.

It's PS2 and X-Box. I doubt they'll go out of their way to make it Live Capible due to the X-Box's slow dying.
They do have unlockable characters, though. Green Arrow is already listed as an unlockable character. It's possible the other famous GLs are in the game that way.

Meantime, on the part about "live" compatibility, Software's still a year and a half behind the hardware and I know for a fact that they'll still continue to produce current gen console games. Not only that but since not everyone can get a 360 or a PS3 at their release. Until its confirmed how many NGC's are sold, we'll have to get used to more PS2/X-box games out there. Aside from games like Oblivion and other 360/PC slated titles all we can expect are reformated for HD compression copies of games on the standards.
About this game, I just see the bonus' of LIVE usage for this game like Co-Op gameplay and downloads like skins.

Detective Montoya (check 52 week 2)
Big Grim
May 28 2006, 06:14 AM
Kathy has had a romantic relationship with Montoya in the past, so you know that's going to come up. In the New York Times article, it's all part of DC's attempt to add diversity among heroes, along with Blue Beetle and Firestorm. Didio will discuss more of that today at newsarama.
Father Time
May 28 2006, 08:57 AM
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for diversity among heroes. And I did not know about Kathy and Montaya's shared past. I just hope that they do not treat it as just a gimmick, to attract readers. For example, I like how they did the relationship between Hulkling and Asgardian/Wiccan. That feels very natural, since them being gay is simply a part of their personality, and not their defining characteristic. I just hope that they do something similar with Kathy, instead of having her being gay being the focus of her stories.
Hadlen Weltall
May 28 2006, 11:33 AM
well we saw something like the social effect with "Brother's Keeper" the Green Lantern story arch where Kyle's Assistant Terry gets gay-bashed (sorry for the term if it sounds offensive) and how the heroes react to the matter. We just haven't really gotten the exposure of it as a main character's lifestyle. Its kinda like the steps that Shadowhawk took with being HIV positive or how Green Arrow and Speedy dealt with the drug epidemic.

Hadlen Weltall
May 29 2006, 06:08 AM
Booster's trying his best to secure his own deal, however Skeets is showing signs of chronal distortion, the things he's done to 'save the day' are turning sour. Its like do one thing, get more bad happening afterwards.
Week 1: stopping the villian, telling the kids about WW, Bats and Supes and then at the ceremony, they're a no show.
Week 2: saving the plane, passengers are all dead
Week 3: stops the villian, sponsor turns out bad.
After his thing in Crisis, you have hopes he'll be a major hitter but now he's falling back into that place to be the biggest joke in the DCU. If only Ted Kord weren't dead, we'd have the Super Buddies again.
Big Grim
May 29 2006, 10:51 AM
Booster may have shaped up a bit after Ted's death, but he's still a self serving glory hog first and a hero second. People don't just change overnight, it's a gradual process. And avenging Ted was his motivation for that moment, but now he's back to basics.

They've basically replaced her personality with a 2 dimensional villain resembling the Joker.
She's head of the LoA, injures innocents with car bombs (she killed Nyssa), kills out of jealousy and to teach Robin what it's like to lose everything, and has absoloutely no grip on reality.
Everyone was expecting anti hero; they lead up to that with the last few issues of Batgirl, but this reatrded psycho they've given us has left a lot of her fans po'd.
