EDIT: Nov. 24, 2008
I got sick of having my cases crowding up my home office so I moved them into the basement. Now they are in line w/ each other and arranged in chronological order. I started w/ figures from '84 in the top left-hand corner and went down year by year, one year for each shelf, then across starting at the top.
In the small display case, I still have Brave Max and the mini-cons, but instead of having the hodge-podge of random figures that I like but don't have a better place to put, on the bottom 2 shelves, I now have my SWTFs.
FYI, I do have 3 plastic storage bins filled w/ rejected figures. I decided to thin out the herd a bit (I know it is hard to tell), and put the lesser figs into storage. I am in need of another case and will probably get one sometime this next spring.
Anyway, w/o further ado:

Case #1 (from the side b/c the chaise lounge is in the way): G1-'84 through Beast Machines

Case #2: Robots in Disguise through Animated

Case #3: Brave Max, Minicons and SWTFs

Let me know what you think of hte new set-up.

The Binalterators and G1 shelf.
Grimlock is not floating above Meister, and Tracks didn't suddenly get a lot taller than the others. I had to get some risers for a few of the bots so that not all the Binalteratros were the same height, and so I could see them all.

Now on to case #2.
I like this one mainly b/c I can fit Brave Max in it. I think he fits in there pretty well. Surrounding him are a few of the G1 mini-cars, a whole bunch of Minicons, and of course, some WST for scale.
I personally love how all the little ones look compared to Brave Max.

Oh yes, I have thought about that, and now I have actually decided that it is not worth displaying him if it means that he will turn yellow.
I might as well keep him out of sight and protected until I get a more permanent situation, then I can proudly display my nice white, complete Jetfire.

I would leave those blinds shut on that window, even your nice case might be getting some unfriendly UV. It's always best to try and keep any collectible from direct sunlight.

You could angle the box and then put black plastic peices on two sides. So then he would be protected.

Nope, both cases came from a store.
I bought the barrister's bookcase at Walmart about 5-6 yrs ago, and I bought the other one from K-mart a few years after that.
The barrister's bookcase I bought for $80 and the stereo cabinet I bought for $70. I have looked at both stores for another cabinet, and unfortunately neither carries anything like that anymore, but I am sure you can find something like that if you look around.
The Brave Max case is actually just a stereo cabinet that I saw and thought would fit Brave Max (it is nice to be right). The shelves around him came w/ the cabinet, which I then just measured and cut to fit him.
Both cases are set up w/ undercabinet lights I got from Walmart. All the lights in both cases and the spotlight are connected w/ extension cords to one main surge protector, so all I have to do is flip one switch on the back of the bookcase and all the lights in both cabinets light up.

If you look right above the lights on Prime's back, you will see another hinge that allows you to rotate the ladder off to the side. It is on the gray section that is right behind Prime's head.
First you have to turn the entire gray section at that hinge so that the ladder is facing toward Prime's right, then turn the ladder itself at its base so that it is turned to the back.

Here is the second batch of pictures. I think these are much better quality.
They include close-ups of the shelves so you can actually see what TFs I have, plus a few requested close-ups of the Brave Max shelf.
Also, the top shelf of the bookcase has been rearranged after I got a brand new, nice BT Ravage in the mail yesterday (now I just have to be patient and wait for my BT Overdrive so I can rearrange again).
FYI, this is not my complete collection unfortunately. I have had to take out some of the weirder, less interesting TFs to make room for the better ones. I have one other small box that has a bunch of the Beast Wars/Machines and a few RID TFs.
Anyway, here are the new pictures.
Enjoy

Nope, I actually got it at K-Mart about 3-4 years ago, a little after whenever it was that Brave Max came out.
I was looking for something that would fit him, and I saw this stereo cabinet that looked like it might work, and obviously it did.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything like it anywhere in a while, but I am sure you could find something if you looked.

You should have a Unicron in bot mode next to himself in planet mode.

Great collection otherwise...
What are the measurements for the black case?

I thought about getting an Energon Unicron to put next to the Armada Uni, but that seems like it would take away from the uniqueness of him.
Also, I don't mind getting repaints, but I try not to get repeats of a character (except for Warpath, love those little tanks).
The approximate measurements are:
47'' H x 20'' W x 15'' D
these are not exact, but they are close enough to give you an idea.
