ok so we have 2 Stunticons in Alternators, Battle Ravage/Swindle is out with Shockblast coming soon. What Con character would be a good candidate for the RSX. I would like to see that it be either Wild Rider or Breakdown , or mayb one of the battlechargers(the black colored one forgot his name)
Talkie Toaster
i don't think the cons should get one. that mold is the bots advantage. But if it is one i think it should be wild rider.

Yep, I agree with that. It should be either wildrider or runabout. (the black one) When they do finally do wildrider I'd be intersted to see whether they make him dark grey like G1 or red seeing as deadend was black rather than his g1 red.
Outrider74
Wildrider is a good choice, but I'd like to see Rumble or Frenzy. The car is small, quick and a top choice of street racers so it fits these two perfect.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the Battlechargers are totally suck-ass figures. They're like giant Throttlebots. At least the Stunticons were cool and had personality.

But I'm guessing that the Prowl repaint will be Red alert.

clap.gif So true. I picked them up and was like "WTF?" when I noticed that their guns are held on their shoulders.
Strikeback
Probably RumbleFrenzy (my new name for that pair). Can't really think of another one that would fit.

Oh I agree with you on the G1 Toys of Runabout & Runamuck, but I always liked their Tech Specs personalities and what they did in the G1 Comic.

If they do a Decepticon of this mold, then I hope it's heavily remolded into a street racer and not just a redone Police Car. I'm uncertain who I think it should be. Wildrider is fine but I'm just not so sure.

No way!! More Terrorcons, less cassettes!! I vote for Sinnertwin, only because I would love to see a car in colors that hideous.

No car company is going to allow one of their cars to be called Breakdown.

They may stay clear of Wildrider too. The name doesen't really fit an RSX either... but fitting names count for little in the line nowadays.

I think that Hasbro has copyrighted the name "Brakedown" however, which - I *suppose* - you could take to mean "slowing down" rather than "breaking down". But you make a good point. How many Alternators will we never see because their names might reflect poorly on the "product"? Then again, we *did* already get "Sideswipe"... optimuslaugh2.gif

This was my first thought as well; however, HasTak does do a fair amount of remolding for the initial re-release of a mold. My guess is it will be some kind of street racer and a Decepticon - as there are numerous street racing versions of the RSX already on shelves and the overall street racer image is sort of 'Con-ish.

But taking Swerve into account - if they do ever release Red alert, he'll be a simple repaint of Prowl with a different head.

I wouldn't mind if this were a Battlecharger, but We've already got Dead End looking like Runawhatever, so I don't see that happening (I DO plan to pick up the GF Sideswipe remold, though). Another Stunticon would be perfectly acceptable, or a Red alert. Or just some random minibot. I'm getting to the point now that I'm a lot less picky.
THE STIG
i like the name downshift... that could be a con name too right?

When I see Alt Dead End I think Wildrider actually. But he's really more of a general Stunticon-ish figure than a specific one.
Deathmarch
I wouldn't mind it being a heavily remolded 'Con. I like Runabout and Runamuck. I've been wanting them to get the ALT/BT treatment. I'm hoping that who the remolded character is, it isn't just a new head and wheels with a new color scheme.
I'm hoping it is a nice remold like Silverstreak was. I hope it's got a new head, spoiler, front end, rear end, wheels, and roof so it'll not just be another police car. If it's an obscure character or a cassette, would I be upset...well that depends on which character it was and how much remolding we really get.
Like...Rumble or Laserbeak as a Police Car? Who'd want that?

Personally I think Rumble might be good, if we get a 'Con as a remold. But whatever we end up getting will either be unarmed or be only half a 'bot... It is Honda after all... 'Course a red one with a racing package might make a pretty sweet Cliffjumper.

Slightly off-topic but about Honda's no-weapons policy... Anyone notice how hypocritical it is of them to say no obvious guns, but they license their products for movies with plenty of gunplay? (Fast and the Furious comes to mind) They even allow Honda products to be merchandised under that particular movie's banner... I guess it's okay as long as it's not actually their product holding the gun huffermad.gif

Right, and looking at the newest Alternator, Swerve, who is just a re-color with a new head, the RSX could very simply be Red alert, Streetwise or Stakeout.

As far as Red alert is concerned, didn't someone (I think Rodimus VTS) mention a rumor that the Hound mold would see a third release as Red alert? Considering we now got a third (or fourth) Corvette, not something that would be impossible.

Personally, I'd much prefer it if they stopped releasing one version of the mold as an Autobot and the other as a Decepticon. Some Decepticon only molds would be nice.
Talkie Toaster
agreed. honda are being hypocritical about it. "we cant let them have guns because it promotes violence". "what about licencing your cars for street racing movies?" "Oh yeah we have no problem with that" redface2tf.gif
