I think BBTS, but I'd wait for sale.  Like what I did with exkaiser.

Price would be $90-130ish maybe....  Around the prime of MP prime.
*

$130 is too much, BBTS has the highest price with $96, I think Super Cow Imports has it for $90.

New GGG series! GaoGaiGo Seems to tiue even more into the Betterman series.  I'm wondering whose gonna call the shots since 3G is gone and all.
Aquarion
it's suppose to be a Betterman/GGG crossover, which has to be a first in the entire history of anime.

Gaine looks somewhat disappointing. I knew he couldn't be entirely show accurate and still become a functional arm but... ugh...

Not that I could ever buy it or anything... but I like the toy eye candy.

Hey, remember that Might Gaine is about four inches tall when fully combined. It is nothing short of a miracle that Gaine can still transform and still look better than his original toy form.

well, maybe Gain would look better if we had a clearer pic to examine.

on a side-note, i'm thinking of ordering the microman version of Shishiou Gai from GaoGaiGar, anyone know what its quality is like?

GGG is the best  series in a long time. GREAT mecha design...fun characters....and that blasted theme song....though King J-der rocks Gaogaigar...

I think that the new series ha someonefrom betterman calling the shots. That all here is left of 3G are Mamoru, Kaido and the Gao machines.  and I liked the ending, better then how a lot of other shows end.

I just did a little research and it seems they took it down because it's been "licensed" This has got to do with the DVD''s that are coming out, and I was halfway of DL the series. huffermad.gif

it doesn't. the right forarm on mine broke and even tho i was able to successfully glue it back together, i'm still afraid to play with it. TakTom ran a poll in Figure-Oh magazine asking the readers "What's the next Brave they would like to get the masterpiece treatment?" and GGG was first on the list so i'm hoping TakTom goes thru with it since MP-Exkizer is actually quite sturdy.

MPB GGG would rock.  So how is the original GGG figure?  I was thinking about it also, but the action figure I just got in the mail today might hold me off for a bit.

So how is the original GGG figure?

don't know but i do have reissue Mightgaine so the plastic quality is probably about the same. the average width of the plastic is a faction thinner than that of a G1 toy but still pretty sturdy. just to be safe, don't buy the korean version.

Well, it's not quite figure confirmation, but that's good news, to say the least.  At the very least, it means they'll have that on their minds for a bit.  The existance of CM's toys might mean that an MPB version could be held back, for competition to die down more, though.

I hope to dear god that it happens, though.  GGG always struck me as a really awesome-looking design, but so far, the toy offerings haven't been too appealing to me.  Takara's original, while sturdy as all heck, I'm sure, suffers from some less-than-dynamic proportions, just looking pretty awkward in general.  CM's toys have that angle covered in spades, but the tradeoff is that they're not much more than expensive, fragile display pieces.  A redo with TakaraTomy at the helm should be able to find the proper middle ground there.  QC issues with Takara aside, along with Bandai, at least I know they can put out a sturdy product, which is much less than I can say for a lot of these other, third party-type companies.

bumping this thread tounge1.gif

i am just wondering if anybody here knows someone who may have bought the BR-05 great goldran fully chromed reissue set? i am in hongkong now and they are selling it for quite a good price (IMHO) and i am wondering if there are reviews of the reissued product (no the toy from 10 yrs ago) before deciding to buy it

and i was a bit tempted to buy CM's gaofaigar but after seeing how gaofar looks (namely the shoulder parts which becomes gaofaigar's chest) i was a bit disappointed and will likely skip this one
lamuness 2005

just got BR-05 golden brave goldran reissue, i am not a big fan of this particular series myself but the chrome got me totally sold

the original toy, released 10 years ago, only has chrome in certain areas, and other areas are pretty much made of muddy yellow plastic (hence the nickname "muddy brave goldran" for the toy) and for this reissue takara has made the toy fully chromed other than vital joint areas. takara initially said that it will be a request-only production and if they do not have 1000 pre-orders they will not make it. i believe that they ended up with about 2000 orders so they decided to go with it, but it is also rumored that some people backed out/cancelled their orders too...

the set includes the manual, trading card, 2 sets of decals, one "opps we didn't give out enough missles as written in the manual" disclaimer/correction notice......and if you look carefully to the left of the trading card there is a little string that is used for sorakage's sickle

let me know if you guys want to see more pics
Pascal
Received the GGG with Goldymarg reissue set this week, it's huge and awesome! Also got the Guard Diver combiner, and it kicks ass as well. I love how Brave combiner don't require extra parts for the combined form. Would be cool if they were to do a G3 using the Brave molds and redeco-ing them as Autobots and Decepticons.
Greensight
Where did you buy goldran at?
lamuness 2005
just one question out of curiosity......do the CM's gaogaigars have any diecast content? they all look plastic to me.....and the box seems to be lighter than i expected when i tried to lift it

where did i get goldran? various toy stores in hongkong have them, but not alot. for online places you can try this place

http://locushk.com/index.php?p=1&cat0=11&lang=en

this is where i got mine. it's run by an ex-hasbro employee. he only has one unit left in stock so get it while you can if you are interested

tho all you would need is genesic GGG goldimarg and the extra parts for the star GGG and would would have the whole set
