Seriously? I'm actually pretty hyped for what they have planned. Of course the TOS sets are going to look WAY out of place in the show. I'm just shocked they got them so indentical to the original sets.

Fantastic news.
Not So Ultimate Megatron
I'm not a trek fan, but that is very cool

Well, it's the third time they've done it since the 60's....I'm sure the set designers are used to it by now... rolleyestf.gif

I just don't like how they're totally ruining the series by integrating TOS set elements into Enterprise without them being realistically updated. I liked Enterprise because it offered a more realistic view into what spacetravel could be like in a few centuries, just like Roddenberry wanted.

Besides the point that it's the third time they've done this (heh), I have to agree you though. I'm more fond of the Constitution-class we saw in the movies than the one in TOS. I remember seeing a picture of a Connie updated to look more like Enterprise (in color and slight design as well). Oh well, it's just a way for them to draw on the fanboys of TOS, which I am glad to say I am not one (although my reaction may seem to label me as one, I certainly am not, I'm a DS9 fanboy biggrintf.gif).

wooo cool I like it. Its all shiney with lots of cool lights and stuff.
well at least the bridge is anyway. the rest of the ship looks like butt, its all cheapO plastic n stuff

That looks fine, a lot of the younger fans from after the 60s don't know the old 60s look very well. The episode sounds good, maybe it will have an ISS Defiant appearing and Enterprise having to fend them off, a ship with outdated technology taking on a starship with technology 100 years into their future. Could be a good episode.

Tony.

Actually....

SPOILERS

The USS Defiant from the TOS episode "The Tholian Web" is why the sets are being made. The Defiant was sent back in time as well as to the Mirror Universe. We get 2 episodes of the MU in Enterprise-era. Archer is Commander Archer and is not in command of the Enterprise, Captain Forrest is. Archer goes over to the Defiant and takes it over, claiming the ship for his own, and wants a reward for capturing it, ie a promotion and command of the Defiant.

That's the plot? That sounds good, maybe it will explain a little bit more about the past of the mirror universe and what made it branch off from the Federation universe. Sounds good, be ages before it's shown here, about half a year or longer, so it will be one to look forward to.

Oh there is more to it than what I posted. I left out several details about the episode.

Good, means it will be a surprise when I see the episode. Would be interesting if Enterprise from our universe ends up in the mirror universe and has to spar against their counterparts with the USS Defiant being used by the NX-Enterprise mirror as a shield. Now that would be a good battle. And even better, it doesn't have Kirk in it! Yay!
