Time Magazine article about kids in their parents basements

Are you a Twixtor, and if so why?

Do you want to be one or not?

I'll start...I am.

I'm 24. I've been to three uiversities since 1999, and switched majors from Physics to Filmmaking, making it that much harder/longer to graduate.

I live in My mom's basement. redface2tf.gif

With school (I'm taking 21 credits), and a 20hr/week internship, I seriously don't have the time for any kind of job that would allow me to get out of my house.

1/3 of my friends are in the same boat as me, 1/3 went to trade schools and make just enough $ to live comfortably, and the final 1/3 of them work "full time", get some help from Mom and Dad, and take a couple classes a semester...making graduation take forever and having only enough $ to just squeek by...(and no, I don't only have 3 friends icon_wink.gif)

My parents are broke, so I really want to be totally independent ASAP (that and my GF, of 6 years, and I want to live togeher).

What about everybody else?

I'm not, I moved out at 17 and went to college and held a p/t job.

I do not own a house or condo yet, but it is definitely in the works (starting to eye some condos lately) but I have a fair bit saved in the bank and completed school with my savings from Jr. High and High School.

I honestly cannot imagine moving back into my parents home. They are wonderful people, but I cherish my freedom and responsibility.
