Well, I'm currently working on my next animation of my Mugenbine bits; the Mugen Sector Double set, to be precise!! Granted, I had to use my dad'd digital camera for the first part (Inter Beetle), as my rechargeable batteries conked out about 5-6 pix in!!

So, am gonna have to do this animation in bits.
My only main problem is music and sound effects - any suggestions?

Is it me, or might Attack Condor use pieces from Mach Ptera? The head of the Condor mode kinda looks similar.
Anywho, got FangTiger in the mail the other day! He's pretty neat...I just wonder, what sort of vehicle mode is he supposed to have? (I kind of wonder if it's spaceship?)
Aoi
Yeah, I think FT is supposed to be a space ship, a short range fighter kind of thing.

Well, just a quick update on my Mugen Sector Double animation. Am about halfway thru taking the pix for it, and I am discovering very quickly that i need more rechargeable batteries!! Most recently, the batteries died in the middle of a short sequence I was photographing, which is gonna make carrying on from where it left off a bit more difficult!! DOH!!

the camera doesn't have a power cord? doing animation on any point and shoot camera drains the batteries really fast.
Can't wait to see the update UJ.

Well, I'm using rechargeable batteries, as per the recommendations of the instructions for my camera. Have also just bought an extra set of batteries, so i will have a set charging while i use the other. Fingers crossed this plan works..

Hey folks - just thought I'd give you peeps and update on my animation of the Mugen Sector Double set. Having now finished the segments with Inter Beetle and JabStag, the animation now weighs in at over 40 seconds (at 15 frames per second), or around 518 frames. All I got to do now is to combine the two sets into the Mugen Sector robot and animal modes, as well as add some sound effects and maybe a backing track. Any suggestions of tunes would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi guys!
Sorry I haven't written in so long, but between work and trying to unpack, ITS BEEN CRAZY!
I've seen nothing new on the Mugenbine front and most of the sites have been pretty quite with the posting of new pictures. I haven't even had time to build anything lately!
I thought I'd post a picture of how my toy room is coming along. I've got the big wall of shelves up and almost filled! I haven't even put a dent in my Mugenbine collection and there's still my Transformer Transmetals, Amdriver DaiGunder, Webdiver, S.I.C. Kamen Rider, Garo and Machine Robo Rescue to go out!! I just bought the place and I already need more room, well theres always the Living room! Maybe I should sell off something...NAH!!!!

The animation is coming along ok; just got to do a bit with InterBeetle and JabStag combining into the Mugen Sector robot. Am still looking for a decent musical backing track to use though.
I too am waiting for Ryan to send me something, albeit not Mugenbine-related; just hope I get a tracking number from him soon, as the wait is a bit of a nightmare

I know what y'mean about Nightmare waits, Uncle Joe. I ordered my animation/web design software a few weeks back...waited for it to ship, emailed the site I ordered it from, and the software was discontinued! Switched my order to the newer version, and now I'm waiting for that to ship. Bwargh. (I wish it'd hurry up, I haven't bought a Mugenbine fig in ages!)
As for musical backing, have you got it down to a few choice songs? Maybe if y'can rattle off the tunes you're interested in using, we could help give y'an opinion on 'im.

since they are both bad guys how about:
•Evil and A Heathen by Franz Ferdinand
•Destroy Everything You Touch by Ladytron
•You're No Good by KMFDM
•Mega Colon by FischerSpooner (Hidden track after Ersrtaz) I'd remove the lyrics to that one but the music is pretty cool though...
It might help if you let us know what kind of music/feeling you are going for.
UncleJoe420
May 20 2007, 01:35 AM
Well, since the animation is just the Mugen Sector transforming, starting with InterBeetle, then JabStag and finally the Mugen Sector bot himself, I was probably leaning more towards "No One Knows" for this animation.
The next animation I was gonna start work on is more action-packed - involves a fight between some of my Mugenbines and a Lego Bionicle. For that, the Fischerspooner track would work better, as the intro for "Emerge" is rather long. I was thinking of including some dialogue and sound effects with this longer animation as well, but that will probably depend on how the animation itself turns out..

You should try going back to school when your 40! (That was three years ago for me)
Needless to say it didn't work out. ( Me and a room full of 19 year olds, not a good mix)
I wanted to take some more computer animation courses, but the classes and homework just didn't fit into a "real world" schedule. ( No time with work and home)
So now I'll just teach myself what I can when I can! ( I'll just be slightly outdated, instead of completely!)
P.S. Check out "Denno Coil" very cool first episode floating around on bittorrent. "The Skull Man" isn't bad either!
Heres a cute puppy for all of you to enjoy! Unlike my monster!

Yeah I'm 36 and working on my Masters degree. It is a 3D animated movie and it is taking up lots of my free time. I know how hard it is to find classes on animation and photography if you just want to take a few. Fortunately there are some pretty good books out there that can help and many software manufacturers now have demo versions of their products so you can go that route too. LMK if you have any questions.
