The candy in those candy toy sets was never edible from the start, so don't worry there's no quality gonna be lost there! bumblebeetounge.gif

Here's a couple of my single-set custom builds. First up is Assault Leon Heavy Gunner.

Next up is Energy Rhinoce.

I have seen a lot of pics of people that don't sticker them. That is one of the first things I do - apply the stickers!

I too demand (read: request) more pics. thumbsup1.gif
UncleJoe420
well, here goes nowt.. optimuslaugh2.gif
Taaron
Heh. ^_^ I've only applied the stickers to one set, so far...and that was Teiouryu. I just thought he looked a bit too plain. The rest I like the plain look on ^_^;; (although, I keep the decals in the boxes, so if I want to apply them at some point in the future, I still can.)

Anyhow, here's where most of my Mugenbine figures are currently displayed. (Amongst many many other things. I'm planning on removing the lamp that's on the left of the picture, and putting a corner-desk in it's place for display. )

Anyhow, I went to the Post Office today and got my stuff. Still haven't got them out of the box yet, so there'll probally be more pics coming up soon!

Nice setup, Aoi - mixing the Mugenbines with TFs and Lego Bionicles!! Might have to do a few piccie fights between my Gundams and Mugenbines - might be worth a laugh... tounge1.gif

Personally I have applied the stickers to all of my figures. IMO they look to naked with out them. Plus it helps you sorta remember their names.

Chees... dang man!!!!
106 Mugenbines? It serves you right that you have to pack them all and you hate it you greedy bastard
tounge1.gif

Uncle Joe,
Cool pix. I like that Insect Double and Speed Eagle combo. Heck I even like the Insect Double and Xenobine jet too.
UncleJoe420
Thanx Overbite!! Had to use someone else's better digital camera, as mine ain't that much cop... But at least the pix turned out ok, so I am slowly getting better biggrintf.gif

As for Cheese owning 106 mugenbines - no wonder i can't find many; he's already nabbed them all!! optimuslaugh2.gif

Sounds like a great idea! I'm sure we can find space for one! optimuslaugh2.gif

Anyways, I got the Candy kits built, but..they didn't come with candy! (One of the Dekabase kits did, and I ate it. bwhaha.)...but that's not a big deal.
The toys are well worth it, however in my pics they'll look a bit plain. I'm considering painting them in place of applying the decals(but I did try to get pics of the decals.)

Here's Airleon. The differences in the candy set and the real set are: The lion head doesn't fold down, the head flaps/wings don't move, and the front lion feet don't move, either.

Next up, is Carry Eagle! Not much to say about him, since I still don't have a Real CE set. He looked pretty accurate though, with an exception of the molded wheels. (his eagle head also pops off easily.)

Finally, Great Rex. Man..I love these Rex figures. Again, pretty accurate. Only real difference here is that his tail doesn't split.

No combined mode pics. I just can't get Great Rex out of dinosaur mode! optimuslaugh2.gif
the Candy Mugenroids and Real Mugenroids have a bit of a difference too(though seem to be the same size. I didn't think to compare them.), they have no springs, and the shoulder and feet pegs are molded in place.

These guys are pretty neat, and if you're a kitbasher, they look to be a good kitbashing base too.

Aoi
Taaron
Aaand..I don't wanna double post, but I can't post anymore pics in my previous post.

here's some pics of Gattai 1.

These pics are a bit iffy, mostly because I was rushing the camera. CarryEagle's backpack/head didn't want to stay on the Mugenroid. Hopefully a coating of clear nail polish will make it stay on.

cool pix Aoi!!

would like to see some pix after they are painted and a close up of the gestalt head. That alone may be worth getting the set.

Having just finished packing all of my Mugenbines I can confidently say that the original series A-Z, were better constructed and designed toys. The joints, peg and holes were much tighter than they are with the current series. This really started back with the Mugen Ride series through the Engine series and now I think its at its worst with this new series. Pieces just don't seem to hold as solidly to each other as they did with the originals.
Of course, tighter is not always better. cliffjumper.gif This probably lead to a lot of breaking parts, which Bandai will repair if you send it to them, (sorry Japanese addresses only) So this "looser" design may be a cost saving measure on Bandai's part. Just a thought, anyone else want to weight in on this opinion?
P.S. I really think they need to bring back the Mugenroids and Turboroids (which I honestly don't think they used enough!).
Taaron
I agree about the Mugenroids and Turboroids. The little guys are awesome. (Though, I'd probally be more warm to the figs that come with the Roiders if they had similar articulation to the Mugen/Turboroids. )

Also, here y'go Overbite. Hope this is a decent close up of the Gattai Head.

(unfortunantly, you can't use it with regular Mugenbine sets. Instead of the regular Mugenbine "Hex" pegs, it just sits on an little bitty peg. )

Thanks for that tid bit about it sitting on a peg. Can I see a pic of how the head attaches to the figure? BTW The pic turned out great. I do prefer that head over the original Carry Eagle Gestalt head.

So I wake up today and the mailman is at my door with a delivery: the stuff from Hasbro Toystore I ordered (TF Darth Vader Jedi Starfighter & Galaxy Force Vector Prime—both for $9.00) so I was pretty happy. I go on the internet to check my emails and get an invoice for Rinkya to ship my Mugenbine figures to me and that they charged my credit card. As soon as I log out of hotmail, another mailman arrives with my Rinkya order.

So now I finally get to add the Jusco Black Air Leon and the first TRU exclusive Mugenbine set to my collection.

for those who have the figures from this auction on hold, I will contact you shortly with a pic of the item and a price.

thanks for the pic Aoi. Not what I expected. could I get a shot of the Carry Eagle's truck cab where the head is stored? I want to see if it is similar to original Carry Eagles.

The MRR canister set (I am not opening) is a bunch of little pvc figures that don't move. The Little MRR boxes apparently are the core robots of MRR without the drones to make the gestalt form. They are compatible with Mugenbine parts however.

Uncle Joe, most digital cameras have a setting for getting close up shots. Make sure this is turned on. I'd ask your dad/find instructions/search camera mfg website for instructions. It helps out alot in taking pictures. Also a tripod is great to keep the
camera from moving around alot (that is the problem I have when taking pictures.)

speaking of pictures...
For those of you who don't have the TRU set but are curious...

Here's the TRU Megenbine set when you open the top. Each figure has its own little box that houses the standard tray.

Pic of the beast modes and Bonus Mugenroid

Close up of bonus Mugenroid, which is a clear green Air Leon without any Bine Parts.

That set is really nice thanks to the uniform color. Now that you have the standard AL and the TRU AL, are you planning on getting the black one or Assault Leon?

I already have Assault Leon and the Black Jusco Air Leon is to the right of the TRU boxed set. It is hard to tell as it sorta looks like Energy Rhinos. And I agree the color scheme is much better than the originals. IMO a red giraffe is a bit weird though.

I forgot to include the close up of the Black Air Leon. The box was damaged before it was sent to me. I am happy that the contents were fine.

Thanks for the pics Aoi. From that pic it looks exactly like the normal Carry Eagle and it should work with the regular Mugenbine sets. The head of the original CE doesn't come off; it just stays on the opened roof part like on your candy toy.

Also Carry Eagle and Guard Kong are available for purchase again. PM me if interested.

Well, thought I'd post pic of my new Zord Elephant and Victory Leon!!

What do you think of them? I have a ZE on the way to me but don't really have much interest in the VL based on what I have seen thus far.
UncleJoe420
To be honest, I rather like the pair of them - nice and chunky, thanks to larger than usual Bine parts (the VL head is at least a few times larger than that of the Assault Leon), and the animal modes are pretty big too. Am glad I ordered them (thanx Ryan @ Fan2Fan), and hopefully am gonna be nabbing one of those 4 Dragon Legend candy toy sets too!!
Overbite
Of the two (ZE & VL) I like ZE better because VL is a bit floppy and has a beer belly in robot mode. However, I like the big robot head of VL over ZE. VL does have some good pieces when combining with other sets to make larger robots.
Plus you need him if you want to make the "Metroplex" Mugenbine
Taaron
Beer belly. optimuslaugh2.gif That just gives me a funny mental image of VL spending his free time drinking. (Boy..how many kegs would it take?!)

Which one is more expensive, VL or ZE?

Edit: Apparently I'm in a picture taking mood! here's a new Robot design I figured out with CandyLeon. (Assault Leon is also sporting in the new look as well!)
