I have quite a few, my brother is over in Japan and gets these and other stuff for me.
Let me tell you something, those on-line companies HLJ, AMENBO, etc... are bowwww bow bow bow bowww you guys blind with their shipping costs. My brother sends me stuff at a third of the cost these companies charge. Thats the same with E-Bay, we all know that, that's where they make their profit!
On a happy note, heres another Build (or is it Heavy? I've seen both) Mammoth picture!

Yeah I know. It really sux when you pay more for shipping than what the item costs.
Well the box says "Heavy Mammoth" on it so I am assuming it is called that. That bulldozer mode looks really cool though.
Taaron
No kidding about the shipping. Back when I was in high school, I found some stickers on a Japanese anime sales site that I thought'd make some neat bookmarks. They were only about a $1. The shipping was $10. (Suffice to say, since I wasn't working then, I didn't get them.)

But now, I'm just kind of accepted the shipping prices. If I'm not paying for it from wherever, I'm paying for it in the price markup from the shop that did the import shipping.

Anyways, apparently my Mugenbine order'll be coming in tomorrow. Getting packages when you're sick is a great thing. clap.gif

Aoi
UncleJoe420
Perhaps I should move to Japan - would that make things cheaper? laughlol.gif At least I haven't been stung for import duty and handling fees on any of my orders yet - which would make th cost of my purchases at least 2 to 3 times what I pay for them anyway!!

Anyway, HobbyLink Japan have got the Heavy Mammoth in stock now, as I ordered one yesterday (and hopefully i will get my order confirmation later today). Am not entirely sure the purple / yellow colour combination is a good thing though, but I guess it could've been worse!! laughlol.gif

hey, cheese...
maybe you could trade with me for mugenbines?
I have MRR, hasbro reissue TF's, and dino thunder and SPD mega zords.
since you have the hook ups and all...

plus, I just got lead zausrus today!!! it took only 8 days after shipping confermation, which is the fastest I ever got anything from amenbo...
cheese
Thanks for the offer Majin, but I'm just fine with what I have. I have alot of Mugenbines but I like Keybots more. They are more of a challenge to make something out of.
Its funny my brother bought me two a couple of years ago as a joke. I thought at first that they were too "kiddy" for me, but they grew on me and now I'm addicted! Strange how that happens!
Heres a creation I made with Banning Burn and Megaro Chimera! I call it BURNING CHIMERA!!!

I was thinking more like you could have your brother semd you some, and then trade me for stuff...
I'm looking mainly for the dino sets.
I got into this late, so all the ones I want are hard to get now. I'm short on cash, so I can really only offer trades.

Seriously, I can relate to your addiction of keybots with the Mugenbine bots. Plus I don't want to start up another toyline that I have to import from Japan. Three is enough for me.

I've never tried making something really big, like what you can do with Mugenbines.
I'll have to give it a try. bumblebeetounge.gif
Overbite
wouldn't it be harder to make to make a huge Keyrobot figure than it is with Mugenbine? They don't have as many connctor points right?
cheese
Thats where you have to be more creative with all the accessories and not just rely on the cores to be your main structure.
They're challenging, but I like that.
Overbite
Do you have any "rules" when you combine them? For example with the Mugenbine, I like to use all of the pieces in every set used to make a figure. I don't like to have "left overs". Also I try to use figures that have complementary colors that go together so as the figures don't look like they were caught in a paint factory explosion. Do you do the same with your Keyrobots?
cheese
I have the same philosophy you do when it comes to building Keybot and Mugenbine gattai's. I don't feel I've truly met the challenge of these toys unless I've used every piece. Its an obsessive/compulsive kinda thing! bumblebeetounge.gif
Overbite
Nah, it just makes it more interesting. I often disassemble combined figures the next day because I don't like them. Some of them (pics in past posts) I've kept around for a long time because I really liked them. My union of Guard Kong, Save Gunman and Kaiser Condor being one of the longest ones that I've kept around. I have a small display area for them ATM and get bored looking at the same figures every day. Usually I like to change them up once a month or so.

Yeah Needle Stego is a really cool figure. My only gripe with him (miniscule gripe) is I wish he had more connector points on his dino head.heli tail and copter cockpit/dino tail. I think he and Machpetra are in a tie for the best dino IMO.

How to you like Victory Leon Immy?

I think you'll like the Insect Double set majin. The plastic "bugs" really help the combined mode. I also prefer the colors of this set over the original releases. The Roid General 3 set is cool too. I don't know if it is as popular because it has so few parts but I like them as well. Where did you order them from?

Here's another non robot combo I found on a Japanese site:
Taaron
Those pics y'found are great, Overbite.

There's one Mugenbine set I'm wondering what it is...but the only thing is, I can only remember one of it's accessories. They were two Yellow throwing stars. The other yellow accessories, you could combine into a little lion looking thing. Does anyone know which one this is?

Anyhow, I'm still waiting on my Energy Rhinos, Great Rex, Assault Leon and Heat Triceria. Figure since my first order arrived the day after I got paid, this order'll arrive tomorrow(or Wed, I hope.) I also hopped to it and ordered the little 1st set Mugenbine candy kits. (Also got the DekaRangers Dekabase candy kit, too.)

I think the set you are referring to is the TRU exclusive set with a white Quest Knight, a black Razor Ninja and a red Save Gunman. This set included these yellow weapon parts that could combine together to form a lion; kinda like the bug parts on the Insect Double set. This set is pretty hard to find as I am currently hunting for this one and the one before it.

have any of you guys seen the KO mugenbine anywhere? I saw a digkong KO at a big lots sotre a couple of days ago. it had all the bine parts for dig kong, but it had a red airleon mugenroid, complete with stickers.
the color looked solid, and the plastic felt sound, but I didn't have the $4 to spend, so I left it, and when I went back for it, it was gone.
just wondering if anyone has seen them yet.

I saw a couple at Big Lots before Christmas(After Thanksgiving maybe? I'll have to check my previous posts.)

But the ones I saw looked like they should of had instructions like:

"Open package. Put package in trash. Put toy in trash. Done!"

What you guys are seeing at Big Lots is a chinese bootleg. If you see them again look closely, you'll notice the Mugenroids head is a lot bigger than the originals and they will sometimes throw in Machine Robo Rescue parts as well. From what I've been told though, the "Bine" parts are identical to the originals, so if you need to replace broken parts, heres your cheaper alternative to buying a new one!

As for the Toys r Us EX, the little yellow animal is suppose to be a dog not a small lion, according to write-ups I've seen. I have the set, I still think its a lion! Its cool to combine with the regular sets to make a larger figure. Just like the "bug" set.

I got my power nose in today. That makes 10 now.

Air Leon
Build Giraffe
Carry Eagle
Dig Kong
Xenobine
Fang Tiger
Heat Tricera
Junk Stag
Kaiser Condor
Power Nose

I am still seeking the following, however:

Evo Rhino or Energy Rhino
Galaxy Rex or Great Rex
Iron Beetle
Launcher Zaurus
Mach Ptera
Needle Stego
Over Ligan

I may try to get a Zord Elephant too.

I don't know if you know of the Insect Double set, but it is a repaint and slight retool of Iron Beetle and Junk Stag. That set might be easier to obtain because Iron Beetle is kinda hard to find. Same with Lead Zaurus being a bit easier to get than Launcher Zaurus.

Yeah, I am aware of both sets. I'm still undecided on what to do in both cases. I've been leaning toward the double set but I think I still want to go after the Launcher over the Lead as I like the black & white more than the blue.

How slight of a retool, Overbite?

At least my Heavy Mammoth is on it's way here - and the colour scheme is actually starting to grow on me, since i can pair him up with either Xenonbine (purple) or any of my yellow sets (Build Giraffe, Over Ligan, Yuu Tenma). Will do a bit of a review once he gets here!!

PS nice avatar of Hallowicked and Delirious, Immy!!
Taaron
Welp, I had an evening to play with the lot.

I still like Assault Leon the best of the group, followed by Energy Rhinoce coming in close second.

Heattricera and Great Rex's combiner ability is pretty neat, too. I'm kind of wondering if I should get Galaxy Rex to have a box accurate combiner.

In fact, I think I like Assault Leon so much, it's making me go back on my "One Mold" rule. I'm highly considering on tracking down Air Leon and Fang Tiger to complete the trio...so I suppose I'll get Galaxy Rex too. ^_^;;

At least this way when I get Galaxy Rex and Air Leon, I can get comparison pics with the Candy Kit versions!

Anyways, time for work(bwargh.), so I'll finish my post here!

Aoi
Gen. Magnus
Fang Tiger was my first. He is awesome. I highly recommend him. Thanks to the additional parts, it is almost like he is a different mold.
