Sure. I was planning on tossing it on the scanner at some point. I was thinking about scanning the whole catalog/manga in.

Since y'have more than I do and Teiouryu, UncleJoe; is the catalog/manga the same for the whole set, or are they different per set?

I'm also assuming the later toys are the only ones with the catalog/manga, as my DigKong didn't come with anything.

Anyways, I was wondering..it was also mentioned in the original topic starter's post...how would they release it in the US?

Hasbro has the rights to both Go-Bots, and Machine Robo Rescue(they tossed it on the packing of one of the Universe toys.)..so that means Bandai can't use it. I suppose they can call it something like..Mugen Rescue or something...or considering the common design theme with the Mugenroids, possibly...just possibly tie it in as some Power Rangers sub-line.

you know, i'm thinking about getting some of these guys from the newest series. how tall is the average height and how well do the parts hold together?

The Mugenroid, itself is about the same height as Cybertron Armorhide...the parts hold together incredibly well, but they also release fairly well too. (So there's no cursing when trying to rebuild it into something else.)

Although, to be honest..I'm not exactly fond of Teiouryu's bigger robot mode. The backpack/bigger robot head, doesn't press down against the torso base, so it just wobbles...and he has problems standing...

While I would love to get them a bit more articulated for the adult side who wants to pose and leave them displayed...the kiddy side of me is digging the hell out of this idea and I can't stop playing around with them.

Just realised that i'm gonna get stung for import duty, since the cost of my Mugenbine bits is over £18 - aww bugger!! Let's just hope the folks at ParcelForce don't notice the value, and deliver it anyway!!

Hm..I'm honestly unsure if Hasbro actually owns the Go-Bot designs. I've always thought Bandai kept ownership of the designs, even after Hasbro purchased Tonka.

Well, am pretty sure they used some of the designs in the Machine Robo Rescue animated series (which i have got copies of) - and that was only a few years old, i think..

Yeah, the MRR anime was what restarted Machine Robo in Japan. I tried watching it, but just couldn't get into it.
The drill guy was also similar to the original MR/Go-Bot design. Plus if you want those MRR figures, and not the mugenbine ones, you can get KOs of em at BigLots...although, comparing them to the Mugenbine ones(they use the same connector points)..I'd suggest going all original and importing. The KOs are a pain to get apart after you combine 'im. (I have the KO of Fitor-ish one, since that was one of my favorite GBs as a kid. I still have my broken one sitting on the floor in the garage. Suppose I should pick it up before the car runs over it...and it really gets broken. ^_^;; )

Yes, Aoi, that's the Mugen Emperor gashapon set.
The four animals do not use mugenroid cores, they're just simple animals that become weapons for the mugenroid.
All of them combine into Mugen Emperor.....

Unless the Mugen Emperor is the "evil" recolor and that's the saint beast set.

Well, my Quest Knight, Razor Ninja and Mugen Hercules arrived about an hour ago - and I didn't get hit for import duty!! result!!!

Must admit, they are pretty cool!! Both the Quest Knight and Razor Ninja are nice and sturdy in all of their modes, and I quite like the look of Hercules in big vehicle mode - who'd have thunk that a horse and stagecoach could look so cool!! I can definitely recommend them all! All i got to wait for now is my Mugen Builder to be in stock - lol!!

I was thinking of trying to combine Hercules with my Mugen Police and Fire sets to build the huge robot combo, but i think it may need a bit of figuring out first!!

Awesome. I though the Horse and Stagecoach looked a bit odd. I might have to look into getting the bigger ones. (Was thinking about Builder..but don't know of any shops in the US that carries it. Guess I should email HLJ and see if I can get a rough estimate for shipping from there to here.)

Anyways, how many types of Mugenroids are there? There's the "block" types, and the wheeled types. Are there any others?

I ask, because I'm thinking about doing a website based on my hobbies and including a Mugenbine section..and was going to comment on the Mugenroids individually, since they're so common. (and what should I call them? Mugenroid A, Mugenroid B? Mugenroid Block, Mugenroid Wheel?)

The block ones are called Mugenroids, and the ones with wheels are called Turboroids. As to if there are any other different types, i know there is a set coming out in the future that has a couple of Mugenroids with it (hopefully they will differ from each other, and I don't just mean colour-wise).

Oh cool. I thought they were all Mugenroids. Good to know that now.

I wonder if anyone has been tempted to go "Voltron" with the Mugenroids.

(he has a head/face hidden in his dragon mouth.) then looked at DigKong and started thing. "Boy. He's a whole lotta green. like that Voltron lion...Hmmm.."

Yeah hasbro only owns names, thats why some years ago they said they couldn't do gobot reissues.

The Teiou Ryu has a Voltron-like head in the dragon's mouth, becuase you can combine the Teiou Ryu with the Uzumakidori and the Wanrikyuguma (still can't spell that one right).

One combo I will have to take pix of is my Mugen Fire, Police, and Hercules sets - they are an absolute monster when jammed together. I know the Fire, Police and Builder sets form a robot together, but I'm not sure what it's called, since i can't read kanji..

I can definitely recommend the MRR series - already got it myself!! Well worth the long hours of downloading, if you ask me!!

Anyway, I've just ordered a Great Rex and a Mach Ptera, not to mention that my Mugen Builder is still on backorder, from HobbyLink Japan. If all 3 turn up, that will up my count to 20 sets!!

Here's the short answer, Hornet. Both.

Teiouryu and his pals have a combined picture on the packaging(at least, I know Teiouryu does), and Quest Knight and his pals have a combined picture in catalogue. I suppose they all have the combined mode on the packagings. DigKong doesn't show the big combiner, but it shows combination forms with the AirLeon(I think that's his name), and then another with Air Leon and CarryEagle and another one with just Buildgiraffet. (But there's no instructions to build them. Just gotta go from the pictures.)

Well, I've now got a Mach Ptera and a Great Rex (the armed repaint of Galaxy Rex). However, I am still waiting for Mugen Builder and now Assault Leon and Carry Eagle too!!

I am just waiting for those to arrive in stock at HLJ.com, then I'm gonna order the Mugen Sector Double set once that is out (on either the 23rd or 30th on June). Just hope i can find room for all these little buggers!! :

Heh. Could always leave them combined. ^_^ If I hadn't so many projects gearing up and gearing down, I'd work on completing the Teiouryu combos and Overligan.

I've also started to find a couple of guys on Ebay. I might get myself a Xenobine to tide me over for a while. Haha. (He doesn't look like much in all his different forms, I think...but he looks like he'd be fun to play with.)

Xenonbine is a pretty good guy to get - he was one of the first sets i ever got, actually. All those bits and combos will keep ya amused for hours!!

I do think this new colourscheme does suit the Insect Double set - makes it look a bit more evil, especially with all the extra parts too!! Can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it now!!

Yeah. It also looks a bit royal-ish. I think I'm gonna go ahead and try and get both the original beetles and the Insect Double Set.

I suppose I should start writing a Mugenbine wishlist, so I can keep track of which ones I really want..and which I *just* want.
