I also received four of the Mugenbines (fang, heat, junkstag and xenonbine) and getting to like these! Why didn't I get into this toy earlier!?
I was asking myself the same thing last summer. I probablly would have had a mugen Builder too (the only set I am missing

)
Immy, I don't think they have a name for the combined mode unlike some of the others. If there is one I'm sure Cosmo would know.

immy,
The name for the Arch Tiger, Guard Kong & Impact Dile combination roughly translates to "ZOO CREATION ROBO" according to the MugenWorld website. I'm very rusty I could be wrong but I know I'm close.
As for Amenbo, have you checked your order status in the members area first? I have no other way of contacting them unless... here try the Japanese inquiry page see if it will work. Its the same as the old english page just type in the same info.
https://www.amenbo.com/cgi-bin/members/inquery.cgiHope this helps.

yeah, i keep checking my order status...it says: "status order received" and the "expected ship date" keeps going up day by day.
could the fact that i chose the cheapest shipping method (some type of air mail) be affecting the time its taking them to process it?
and thanks for the name...Zoo Creation Robo actually sounds good. =]
EDIT: tried the japanese inquiry form...that worked. wasnt sure what to set the subject to so i left it default.

I too am looking forward to at least seeing pix of the Build Mammoth and the Fire Wolf. Hopefully, they may even do repaints of the Juuki Gattai sets (which would be a damned good idea). Am still not sure what to call the little robots from the Powerful Tyranno and Speed Eagle (which is on back-order from Amenbo)..

The pilots from Powerful Tyranno and Speed Eagle are called "Roiders". Thats all I know.
But... with the introduction of such a blattant human element this would be a good time to think "maybe its time for an anime".
Just a thought of course.
UncleJoe420
Jan 7 2007, 08:14 AM
I knew about the pilots called Roiders (as long as their first names aren't Emma - lol), but i was curious if there was a generic term for the smaller bots you can make from each set, since the other bots were called Mugenroids / Turboroids. These new ones might be called Buildroids, since there seems to be a bit of a build / construction theme going... but I could be wrong

Check out this picture of what you can do with DigKong and KaiserKondor.
http://nmb.nobody.jp/mmg/gee/gee_051104.jpg Of course theres two of each in there but you get the general idea.
As to the question about the new guys, as far as I can find the robot modes are referred to as "basic" and "enhanced". Powerful Tyranno's robot name is "Musha Warrior" and Speed Eagles name is "Knight Warrior".

Yeah they are. Digkong is one of my personal favorites of the entire line. Kaiser Condor is pretty similar to Carryeagle with a different Mugenroid head, truck trailer and gestalt head. Other than those differences, he has identical parts as Carryeagle.
I made this guy with Digkong, Savegunman & Kaisercondor:

If you're running Firefox, you can get the VideoDownloader extension, and it'll save it down to an flv file.
I'm planning on ordering a Zoids kit or two for a friend of mine, for helping me get my chair home. Just to keep care of the shipping, which should I get? Powerful Tyranno or Speed Eagle?

I personally like Speed Eagle best. Standing alone it looks best in all three modes. Powerful Tyranno is kinda "iffy " in machine mode, but thats my opinion. Do you like your mecha to look smooth and clean, like Speed Eagle or industrial and heavy like Powerful Tyranno?

I went to Target and bought two of the Power Ranger Transmax Vehicles set A and C (left and right in pic)

and when I got home Digkong and Kaiser Condor were on my porch, Booyah a double header! I immediately started building and to my hope most of the Transmax parts fit on the Mugenbine. The fit is slightly tighter than the regular Bine' parts so you gotta use some good force to get it to snap together. My favorite Vehicles gotta be the Green Mixer and Purple Crane reminiscent of Constructicons. I'm gonna go back and get the set B and make some Yuusha Gattai!

Amenbo is not the greatest at restocking. I'm pretty sure you can kiss the Mugen Emperor vs. Death Emperor set goodbye as the new Four Dragons Legend set is about to be released!
They do keep up with their Zoids selection though, as that is how they got their start and reputation as one of the best zoids shops around. It all depends if you are looking at a current line of toys or older series. Unlike American toy companies, the Japanese make a certain number of their product and thats it. ( Unless its Gundam crap and then they go nuts!)

Just keep checking back with them. You may be surprised.

Hopefully my Speed Eagle will ship from Amenbo today - am definitely looking forward to laying my mitts on it! And yeah, it is a shame that Amenbo no longer have the Mugen Emperor / Death Emperor set in stock, as I was eyeing that one up too -

UncleJoe,
Take a valium! They will ship the product when they have it packed. Sometimes they have to go to one of their other three warehouses to gather everything together. I know it can be nerve racking when dealing with a new company. (Which is why I don't do anything with E-Bay, it makes me a total wreck!) I've never been disappointed by them in all the years I've dealt with them. Be happy that you know you're going to get it! HLJ isn't even listing them! Till then just chill. Trust me.

Cosmo, how is the quality of the candy toy Mugenbines? Is the plastic pretty flimsy? Will the pegs snap off? I am just wondering if I should buy them or not.

The candy toys are surprisingly good for the price! I've never had any broken pegs. loose joints, or any of the other problems that plague most normal toy lines. The plastic is good and solid not a flimsy vinyl or such. All connections are solid, to both the candy toy line and the regular Mugenroids. A word of warning though the candy is HORRIBLE!!!!

Just a heads up, while on Rinka (which is a site for non Japanese residents to bid on Yahoo! Japan auctions) I came across a seller who has listed some of the harder to find Mugenbines for sale like: Evo Rhinoceros, Galaxy Rex, Iron Beetle, Launcher Saurus, Victory Leon, and Zord Elephant to name a few. I believe the figures were opened for display purposes and they don't seem to have their applied either. They are going pretty cheap...

Can't really comment on the candy in the Mugenbine figs, but most of the Japanese candy toys I've picked up has a small-ish sugar tablet that has a slight lemony taste. (I like them, with an exception of one Transformers Candy Toy set I picked up. Instead if being Candy, it was some icky tasting chewing gum.)
