they had quest knight and laser ninja, so they got my money.
anyone willing to trade for the third set in that series?
Nope, I am quite happy with my Save Gunman.

I love Amenbo. I have been ordering from them for years, at least 5, and have never been dissappointed. They're processing time is a lot faster than anyone I've used before. They also have a "real time" inventory control system unlike HLJ where I've ordered items shown to be in stock and then get an e-mail stating what I ordered is actually out of stock. I hate that and its happened more than once with HLJ.
But, theres always a "but", HLJ does get some things Amenbo doesn't and vice-a-versa.

I guess they could be from another one of those Candy toy sets, like the Mugen Emperor was..

Amenbo's inquiry page is down due to maintenance.
They are trying to get their new site up and running. It will have a "points" system added to it, so with each purchase you earn points towards future purchases. They are handing out the points already, you can see them on your invoices. I have already gathered thousands of points! I can't wait to use them!
Check out Big Bad Toy Store!

Don't forget to check out "Prominence"

As for Prominence, they're pretty good for getting combo ideas from. Heck, they even allowed one of my attempts to be posted (not entirely sure what page it was on) - my version of Megalon, from the Godzilla movies. Now I just have to build the big green guy himself.

The Mugen Engine line was my least favorite of all of the Mugenbine lines. I like having the little Mugenroid robots instead of a transparent cube with a wheel and that "spinny" disk thing. Although I don't care for the engine figures, some of my favorites from this line are Gear Tortoise, Wingbat & Impact Dile.
I am interested what new pilot figures are like but I kind of wish for some new sets with the Mugenroids in it.
P.S. Cosmo773, I like your

UncleJoe,
My shipping notice just came through. So you should be seeing yours anytime. If you need an immediate update go to the Members Area at the top of Amenbo's homepage and enter the info required (i.e. order number and ID) and it should tell you your order status.
The Mugenbine homepage has been updated for 2007. Check it out
http://www.mr-club.jp/02.htmlGo to the last link on the far right in the top menu bar, its all the advertising pictures they made for the various hobby magazines, there are some cool ones in there!
Monomania has updated his site with more detailed pictures of the "MugenZiggurate" check it out
http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~monomania/ore-bine/.
Thats one big 'bot using all the Mugenbines to date. Don't miss clicking on the litle squares for close ups!
Theres a small update for Keybots as well at their homepage.

As for my shipping notice, I just got it!! (edit) Anyway, hope you can give us a review of whatever you're getting from Amenbo Cosmo, and I will try and do one for Powerful Tyranno when it arrives. According to the Mugenbine site, the basic robots you can build in each set are at least 1.5 times the size of the normal Mugenroids!!

Hey Guys,
Heres a handy site for translation.
http://babelfish.altavista.digital.com/babelfish/tr I use it when I get confused about something. The translations are literal, so you have to do a bit of interpretation. You can also translate from english to ...whatever. Remember keep the comments as simple as possible and your ideas will translate better!

Happy New Year to everyone!
To help celebrate I thought I'd share some of my favorite Mugenbine and toy sites with everyone, so here we go!
Mugenbine sites first:
The first is Asimo's site tons of combinations and even some huge gattai's.
http://mugenbine.exblog.jp/ The next site is small but has some good combos
http://tokbine.hp.infoseek.co.jp/m_bine/katamari.html Gullwing's homepage covers Mugenbine and more
http://f57.aaa.livedoor.jp/~variable/ Torneo Garage covers a ton of toys. If you go to Prominence you see his stuff as C4SiR.
http://indb6.fc2web.com/main.htmlMugenBineWharf, a complete catalogue of every Mugenbine and its individual parts. Probably more than you'll ever need to know about the toys.
http://mbwharf.hp.infoseek.co.jp/Monomania, a great site! He uses the MRM's to recreate other super robots especially from the Brave Series.
http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~monomania/ore-bine/Prominence. Simply the number one Mugenbine gattai source.
http://senpuuji-gai.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ NMB. A complete catalogue of everything that has been posted at Prominence, organized by creator alphabetically. I'm Mr.GEE on the site. He hasn't updated in a while though.
http://nmb.nobody.jp/Playtown Sakio"s site. An older MRR site that does some amazing combos with the Machine Robo Rescue Toys.
http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown/2614/s...review/MRR.htmlToy sites. These are sites I visit just to see whats out there!
Zinc Panic the number one site for Japanese toy news in English!
http://www.zincpanic.com/Danny Choo. Interesting "life in Japan" site from an uber geek! ( Just kidding!)
http://www.dannychoo.com/http://www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/top.html Great toy review site!
Blackfeathers, one of my favorites to visit.
http://www.hcn.zaq.ne.jp/blackfeathers/http://www011.upp.so-net.ne.jp/pony-hp/ Another good review site.
Thats all I'll post for now but there are a ton more that I'll share later! Have a great New Year everyone!

Hey guys,
Should we start a new thread since we've deviated so far away from this topics original subject? Where should we start it? What should it be called? I like "Do you Mugenbine?" Let me know your input.
Taaron
Jan 1 2007, 03:13 PM
Might be a good idea to ask a Mod about a new thread...but I think we're still fine here, since MRR led into Mugenbine....now if the topic was about the original Gobots, and it led into Mugenbine...I'd be all for a new topic.
Although, on the other hand..back when the topic was started, the forum sub-section was something else besides "The Animation Station". (I think it was something like "Anime and other non-TF Robots"), I've been kind of wondering if some of the toy discussions in this section should be moved to the "It Came from Japan" section, since the site that went along with that subsection has shut down.
but, either way...I'd ask a mod, if a new topic would be okay.

Think there may be a general delay to post, due to the new year (and other related holiday celebrations), since HLJ aren't processing orders for another few days yet - so it may be possible that Amenbo is similarly affected.

HLJ says they won't be back until Jan. 4th. I think many companies in Japan have a similar time off so it is going to take a while for the orders to go through.
Plus the US post office is closed until tomorrow.

Just got my Mugenbines today! A few quick thoughts.
Packaging: Nice picture on box, compartmentalised innards. Everything in little bags. Reminds me of the old Microman boxes of '99 and 2000. Not as nice as the regular Mugenbines trays. It sorta surprised me to see such an eco-unfriendly packaging with all those plastic bags. Land-fill-a-rama!
The toys: (After tediously unwrapping everything) made from a different plastic than the regular MRM's. Kinda like a hard vinyl, they have a softer feel, ( I'm not sure how to describe it)not as bright of colours. Pre-painted no stickers! ( I miss the detail the stickers added. BOO HOO!) The Pilot is a hard rubber?! but very detailed! Its nice!
Combinations: I've only made the regular gattai's everything is good and solid. Can tell already there is alot of creative potential in this new design. It is far more "flexible" than the MugenEngine series, which I thought was really rigid due to the engine gimmick. I'll update more as I "play" some more! In the meantime check out the review at
http://www.geocities.jp/hetare_d_max/top.html - Its cool!
P.S. Amenbo is on Holiday just like everyone else. Look for updates from them after the 4th! Sorry if I misled anyone into thinking they work constantly. I just know how to order around their holidays.

I love Xenobine's tank mode the best of his official modes but his parts are also great in making different combined modes. One question that I have is Xenobine supposed to be the bad guy for Air Loen & Co.? I know that the Insect Doubles are supposed to be bad guys (speculating here; not entirely sure) and there is that Dark Emporer candy set who is probably a baddy but I have seen pics of some of these guys fighting each other and I am just wondering if these guys are fighting each other, friendly sparring, competing, etc.
Taaron
Jan 4 2007, 07:03 PM
I always thought of Xenobine as a bad guy, since he has a similar appearance to Stealth from MRR. I have a bit of speculation of which characters are good, and which are bad.
For the bad ones, here's how I think it goes;
Xenobine(s)-Due to his "generic" appearance and many different forms, I think of him as a sort of "Shock trooper" similar to the Gura Gorro(sp?)
For the other characters, I'm also following the "repaint"=Badguy theme of MRR..but I'm also thinking of the added weaponry, as a "Hmm..maybe they're bad guys" sort of thing, too.
So, Assault Leon, Energy Rhinoce, Great Rex and Leadsaurus would be higher-up on the chain, than Xenobine. Considering the weaponry, I suppose Spirit Cobra could also fall into this section.
Above them, would be the Insect Double set, acting as guard to...
the big baddy,
Dark Emperor.
At least, that's how I think the badguys go for Mugenbine.
I didn't think the Insect Double set was "bad" till Overbite mentioned their speculation...then I started to think, they'd be a pretty awesome guard to the Dark Emperor.

I received the Machine Robo GP team today and it's what you'd expect from a Gumball machine toy, the quality is so' so' not as up to snuff as the TF Universe Micromaster Gestalts but there a little bigger than there TF brethren.
Each MR is intact, (no assembly needed) and is made of a hard pvc just one screw holds them together and transformation is simple, the back of the vehicle flips over to become the legs and the front splits open to reveal the arms and two MR's you gotta pop-up/flip up their heads. The Firetruck transforms like G1 Inferno without the hinges for the feet. IMHO these are pretty good for Gashapon toys, Recommended!

I also received four of the Mugenbines (fang, heat, junkstag and xenonbine) and getting to like these! Why didn't I get into this toy earlier!?
