Well. while we contemplate the moral implications of Mugenbine fan service, lets enjoy some more photos of The Holy Sea Beast I found on-line at some other Transformers site. Sorry I can't properly credit the person because I didn't pay attention!

This image just showed up on the Toys Daily website. It was taken from August's Figure Maniacs magazine. The animal line-up is Hawk, Gorilla, Wolf, Frog, and Cobra. The girl figures are about 4.75 inches tall, 120mm. ( A little bigger than the Microman figures.) One comment was that these were going to be candy toy figures, but no one could confirm that. Given the detail, I hardly think that these would be. I like the preproduction art, and those sketches are screaming anime series!

Oh, I'd certainly be happy if these turned out to be Candy sets. I like being able to get the entire set in one go.
I just wonder if the packaging would get smaller again. I was dissembling down my Mugen Pharaoh and Mugen Arthur Candy sets boxes so I could consolidate the two unopened sets to one store box, and the Arthur boxes look like they're 25% smaller than the Mugen Pharaoh boxes.

They really make the toys look soooooo cool in those commercials! It makes you wonder why no anime series was done. They could still do it, which might be why they have taken some time off from the regular toy line. Heres hoping!

Yep - the sets due out after Mugen Pirate / Holy Sea Beasts appear to have a bit of a Hindu god-like theme to them; pix of them did appear on a thread at TFW2005:

Am guessing these sets are possibly gonna be called Mugen Brahma and Mugen Shiva; since Vishnu would require a lot more arms than these sets combined!! Will also be interesting to see what colours these sets are - Hopefully some nice silvers, golds and copper colours will be used!

If you guys download these new Candy Toy images, be careful. On my Mac they show up with this additional background image embedded with them. It doesn't show up on any preview or image programs, but you can see it if you just place them on your desktop. I'm only saying this because I didn't trust them so I tried to delete them and it was a pain in the A**! I had to rename them like 3 times and it finally got rid of them! So be careful I have no idea what that additional image was.

Kind of a let down that they didn't continue the trend of the knees on the Pirate figure. I was wondering what the deal with the skull was in the Prominence pictures. Who knew it was something so simple.

Also, I emailed BBTS about getting the Holy Beast of the Sea set, and they've forwarded the info to their distributor, so we might be seeing them pop up on BBTS sometime soon. Should I email them about Moebine and the Hindu-esque set so they can get a heads up on 'em?

Just a quick question for those of you who have painted Mugen Pharoah - what colour did you use instead of purple of the scorpion (can't remember his name)? Am asking this, as I don't have a purple Gundam Marker, and am kinda stuck as to what colour to use as an alternative.

Mugen Scorpion.

. (I'm kind of baffled that they went Egyptian names with the others but when it came to him, it was like "Oh...you're Scorpion." "...Not Serket?" "Right, just Scorpion.")
As for what I ended up using was a metallic purple permanent marker for Scorpion's purple bits. It seems to stay rather decently, as opposed to the gold. There's a spot on Mugen Anubis that it refuses to stick to. (oddly, Mugen Scorpion doesn't have a problem with it.)
Hope this helps some, UJ.

Well, was asking this as I don't currently have a colour amongst my Gundam Markers that's close to the shade of purple I need - was even considering using a shade of Zeon Red in it's place.. But thanks for the advice, Aoi; really do appreciate it!!

Red would probably work just as well, since it's a common color for Scorpions. I'm actually wondering where the idea to use purple came from, since it's only used on Scorpion.

God point, Aoi - I'll be jiggered if I know why they used purple. Would've thought red would've made more sense, since Scorpion's "eyes" are red. Will check which red I have will be the best match over the next few days, and hopefully my next lot of markers will be here by the beginning of next week (as ParcelForce don't deliver on Saturday, as far as I know)..

I thought I had deleted it a long time ago! I have no idea who the artist is, but it has a techno beat to it! If anyone is interested in it send me a PM and I'll forward it to whatever e-mail account you have. Its a fun cheesy little tune! Its about 4.7mb!

About the Mugenbine theme, can you upload it to something like Megaupload or similar? That way you won't have to keep uploading it over and over again.

Congrats, Immy! What's the last set you're missing?
I'm wishing alot of the Mugenbine ebay listings were located in the US, and that I had the money for them.

They're great deals.
After thinking about it, I'm actually missing 2 "main" line sets:
Evorhinoce
Mugenroid General set
As for exclusives...thats another matter entirely...i still need a Black Air Leon and the second TRU recolor 3-pack...the repaints of the 3 Muskateers if im not mistaken.
And candy toys...i still need the Four Holy Beasts set and its recolor.
BUT considering ive only been collecting thses guys for like 19months...small gaps like that aint bad.
and the 3 upcoming sets look to be pretty awesome...Is the d00d from Fantofan still able to get this stuff? i see he didnt have the Pirate set or Arthur up for order. I dont mind grabbing them from ebay, i just prefer a more..."personal" touch when it comes to stuff like this.
Also...any of you guys know anything about these Clear "Not for Resale" Mugenroids showing up on ebay recently? heres a
LINK, the colors are nice...first time they dont remind me of a Jolly Rancher hehe

Not bad, not bad, Immy. Welcome back!
Yeah, I got to admit, I'm a bit surprised at how quickly I was able to get caught up on Mugenbine. I'm not too worried about Evorhinoce and the exclusives, since I have fairly decent representatives to stand in for 'em

As for the "Not for Resale" Mugenroids, might they be magazine / website give-away exclusives?

Sorry guys I thought I posted the link with my comment, here it is again!
http://www.bandai.co.jp/candy/mugen/index.html As for those clear Mugenroids, that looks like the Plex exclusive that the website used to give out if they posted your combo on their site. I have one, their a nice addition to your collection, if its not a knockoff! On the legs it should have a "P" with the word "PLEX" underneath.

Nice work, UJ! What did you settle on using for Mugen Scorpion's purple?
Thanks for the site link, CE. I'll have to bookmark it.
I hope the Moebine line takes off. At least to the point where we can Moebine-esqe Roider-themed figures. Those little character designs look quite awesome.
Also, we finally have a Gattai'd name for the Holy Beast of the Seas set according to eBay. Seems like the big guys name is Saint Marine.
Oh this is cool. Saint Marine combined with Mugen Leviathan from the Mugen Arthur set;

I used the dark Zeon Red from my Gundam Markers for the purple on the scorpion. Still got to finish a few bits on Anubis, Scorpion / Serket, and Sphinx - will hopefully have those done by the end of this week (with any luck).
As for the Saint marine guy, according the the little video advert on the Candy Toy page, his name is Mugen Pirate (at least, it sounded like Pirate)..
UJ

Sep 30 2008, 08:38 AM
Hum. Now I'm confused, then. Mugen Pirate works though, since it follows the Mugen Pharaoh, Mugen Arthur naming pattern...but there's plenty of auctions refering to it as Saint Marine. Perhaps a different translation of the "Holy Beasts of the Sea"?
That Zeon Red worked incredibly well on Scorpion. From the pictures, I thought it was an actual purple.
I wish I remembered about that site while I was working on my Mugen Pharaoh...Well, I don't consider mine finished, so if I get some more permanent markers, I'll get back to it. (I found out the ones with the dual tips, you're only buying half a marker, since the thin tip ran out quicker than the thick did. )
UncleJoe420
Sep 30 2008, 08:49 AM
I think the Zeon Red only came out purple because the part I was using on was blue.. Of course, i could be wrong. Either way, it did work out pretty good!
By the way, have got 2 Holy Sea Beast sets ordered from Ryan @ Fan2Fan, so if you guys are after a set or two, might be worth getting in touch with him.
