No problems. I just wish JRS Toyworld wasn't clearancing out their Mugenbine stuff. (Well, kinda sorta. I like the prices, but I don't like how they probally won't be carrying it anymore. thumbsdown.gif )
I'm gonna have to email BBTS to see if they're going to get any more of Uzumakidori.

and looks like I snatched up the last Savegunman at BBTS. It's showing up as soldout

Since the Zord Elephant has been discontinued, I'm hoping that I can track one down - or that they do a re-deco or re-paint of it!! Reckon a dark green or blue version would look pretty cool!!

Have still got my 3 other bits on back-order from HLJ.com (Victory Leon, Heat Tricera and Fang Tiger). I just hope they turn up in stock soon, or I'm gonna be severely stuffed!! icon_sad.gif

When is your birthday Aoi? I just had mine a week ago Monday. Also I think both of you will like Yuutenma alot. He is my favorite Ridebine figure.

•Yuutenma
•Teiou Ryu
•Uzumakidori
•Wanrikiguma

I think the Ridebine figures are my favorite "subline" that they have released so far...

I don't know if you like eBay Uncle Joe, but some of the eBay stores have Heat Tricera & Fang Tiger up for sale...

It's this Friday.
Ridebine? I like how that sounds! I was always describing them as the "Hobbies" group. optimuslaugh2.gif

I'm hoping I get Razor Ninja. My JRS order hasn't shipped yet, but when I checked earlier today, RN is coming up sold out.
Think I should email them to make sure I'll be getting it? (My BBTS order apparently shipped today, though.)

I'm not sure if I'll be able to toss any photos into my Maj account though.

I think I killed the USB cable that hooks my camera up to the computer, last week. ^_^;

I think "Ridebine" is the official name for those four. (If not, then I have to give credit to one of the Japanese toystores I shop at for the name).
Also the ones that came out this year are called "Mugen Engine"; and Quest Knight, Razor Ninja, and Save Gunman are supposedly called "The Mugen Three Musketeers".
UncleJoe420
I already have gotten a Heat Tricera, thanx to BBTS - but I will wait just abit longer for HLJ.com to get my bits in (might email them later). As for Ebay, I look on there pretty much every other day - have already found a nice Mugenbine set on there, and I'm keeping a watchful eye on it!!

Yup. There was a promo-video featuring (mostly) Quest Knight with Razor Ninja and Save Gunman, that called them the Three Musketeers. (Don't remember if there was a Mugen or not. It's been a while since I've watched it. It's what really perked my interest in Mugenbine, outside of Dig Kong's ape mode.)

Don't bother checking Yahoo, UncleJoe. I checked their yesterday and all they had was the old-school Revenge of Chronos anime.

Aoi
UncleJoe420
Funny you should mention that promo vid, Aoi - I just happen to have a copy of it!! Was hoping they may have done 2 more vids, one for the Razor Ninja and another for the Save Gunman! smiletf.gif I also have the entire Machine Robo Rescue series too - which is pretty cool too!

Will let y'all know when my bits on back-order ship, btw..

That is that one minute 3D animated short where Quest Knight shows off his different modes right?

Plus Dig Kong is one of my favorite figures too...
Taaron
Yup! that's the one. I'm not sure which of the three Mugenbine figures I currently have is my favorite. Usually, if I play with one...I end up playing with the other two right immediately after.

Also, I'm supposed to be getting my BBTS order on Friday. biggrintf.gif (But I'll be visiting family, so I'll have to see if UPS'll hold off on delivery till Monday.)

UncleJoe420
Well, fingers crossed my YuuTenma from JRS ships soon - am aching to get my mitts on the little blighter!! Also, the Turbo Animal Force should be out in the next few weeks, so I will have to order that too!!

Which reminds me - must get round to building my Mugenbine transporter soon (have been putting that off for months - lol)

Which gets me to thinking that they will be unable to get my back-ordered stuff in. To which, all I got to say is-

OH POOPIE!!! rumblecry.gif
Overbite
Hmmm... I wonder if you were the person still waiting for a Victory Leon at HLJ when I cancelled my order for him last month? I placed the order for him and Juuki Gattai Mugen Builder at the same time and cancelled VL when my order from Rinkya came in. The status square went from red to yellow instead of gray.
UncleJoe420
Wouldn't surprise me if that were true, Overbite - thought I ought to grab Victory Leon while there was still a slim chance of HLJ being able to get one!! Just hope my backordered stuff turns up soon (from both HLJ and JRS) and is shipped - he says, fingers firmly crossed!! laughlol.gif:

Got Wanrikguma and Savegunman, on Friday..slightly to my annoyance. I called UPS to let them know I wouldn't be in town to sign for it on Friday, and wanted it delayed till Monday. They told me to leave a note that it should be delivered only if there's a signature only. Left a note on the door, and also asked to deliver it on Monday. Well, got home tonight, and there was a package from BBTS sitting besides the door. The UPS guy left it to sit by the door for three days, and worse off...it's been storming all afternoon, so it was sitting out in the rain. (Thankfully, BBTS's bubblewrap kept the inner-boxes dry! Hooray to BBTS!)

USPS also tried to deliver Yuutenma, Razor Ninja and Quest Knight, but they just left a note in the mailbox that they missed us and could be picked up at the post office...I'm gonna try calling them in the morning and seeing if they can try to deliver it again.

Anyhow, I haven't had much time to really formulate a thought on them. Haven't played with them enough, so I'll make another post when I play around with each mode! thumbsup1.gif

Aoi
UncleJoe420
Sorry to hear about your delivery probs, Aoi - just hope it doesn't happen again!! Anyway, my YuuTenma is currently en route from the US, so I have ordered Guard Kong and Wanrikiguma from HLJ while I wait (at least those two are in stock!!). Fingers crossed the Turbo Animal Force is out in the next few weeks too!!! biggrintf.gif
Overbite
looking forward to hearing about what you think of those figures Aoi. Also Uncle Joe, are you going to get the Launcherzaurus (blue reissue Leedzaurus)? It too is also supposed to come out in November.
Taaron
Well, got the rest of my shipment today..and I played with them before I'd post...so here goes. I think I'll do my comments by team.

Ridebine:

Wanrikiguma: I love Wanri's animal and vehicle modes. The robot mode's okay, but he needs a bit of a better weapon-placement. Can someone tell me what his animal is actually supposed to be? I figured he was just a mere bear or dog, but the other animals in the Ridebine look to be legendary.

Yuutenma: In short, when it comes to him visually..he's really impressive. Cast in a neat translucent plastic..personally, I found Yuutenma the most confusing of the ridebine team, initially I mistook his Machine Mode as a stealth bomber, instead of a hangglider. I also mistook his Animal mode as as a plain-old horse...started looking over the packaging, and realized he's actually a pegasus. I think he's actually going to be my favorite of the Ridebine group.

Next up, Three Muskateers!
I haven't built the combined model yet. (I might in a while, I'm running out of space on my desk for these guys. Haha.)

Savegun: This guy really surprised me. From all the pictures I'd seen, I disliked him...but after playing with it, I really like this guy. His animal mode looks great, robot mode is fun(especially with the revolver!), the Machine and Base mode is a sort of tank, and recharging station.

Razorninja: The one that was my favorite from the pics. I like the animal(A sort of hammerhead/sawtooth shark fusion?), and the machine/base mode.

Questknight:Like the animal, and machine modes. Not too much of a fan of the Base or Robot modes.

Overall.. I really like the Ridebine group, still. I'm not sure about the Three Muskateers as a group. I really like Savegunman, though.
Quick edit: Decided to go ahead and build the combined mode. All I can say is..he's big.

Aoi
UncleJoe420
Well, my YuuTenma just arrived!! Nice clear plastic mugenroid gimmick, the hanglider mode is a novel idea too!!

As for getting the LeedZaurus, I guess it depends on whether my backordered stuff from HLJ arrives in stock soon, since I don't really want to leave myself short on my Paypal account..

I am pretty sure Wanrikiguma is supposed to be a bear. And I agree about his comb/rake weapon. He looks goofy holding it. I just stuck it on top of his shoulder with the comb part towards his back so it kinda looks like a machine gun. My only other gripe is unlike the other Ridebine figures, the car parts are attached to him while the others can stand next to their vehicles. Not a major problem since I like this group of figures the most.

Ah yes, now you see why I like Yuutenma so much. Great beast mode, clever vehicle mode and the translucent plastic is a nice touch. My only gripe (a very small one) is of the four Ridebine figures in individual robot mode, I like his big robot head the least (the Mugenroid head I do like though).

Save Gunman is probably the best of the Three Musketeers figures (kinda funny since none of them have muskets tounge1.gif ). I am not a huge fan of the Turboroid mold (O-S & the base figures). I like the standard Mugenroid form much more. I think that the wheels on the Turboroid get in the way. I also don't care too much for all of the left over parts that become base pieces for these three (Overligan & Powernose use all of their parts). Although I do really like Savegunman's big robot mode and the cowboy theme that carries over with Turboroid mode and big bot mode. I also really like his animal mode. My favorite out of the three. With that said after reading your review on Savegunman, it inspired me to change up my Mugenbine display. I think I made a pretty cool bot out of Digkong, Kaisercondor & Savegunman.

Razorninja IMO has the best looking big robot mold, and a great beast mold. I just don't care for his Turboroid robot face for some reason. I also don't care for the traffic light side of his sword that much either.

Questknight's vehicle mode is his weakest one but is pretty solid in his other molds. I do like the knight & dragon theme in big robot and beast modes and he has a pretty decent Turboroid head too. He was the figure I was looking forward to the most when I ordered him and was a bit disappointed—mainly due to the limited articulation in dragon mold.

For the Three Musketeers combined mode, I like the preliminary version (the combined mode drawing on Questknight & Razorninja's box) as opposed to the official version on Savegunman's box & instructions. The only real difference between the two is the placement of the two beast heads that are in front on the official side to the sides of the legs and moving a few other parts around on the legs. The torso remains the same. It is more eye catching to me that way. Other than that it is a pretty good combined mode; one that is better IMO than the official Ridebine combined mode with Teiouryu, Uzumakidori and Wanrikiguma.

What is this Mugenbine transporter Unka Joe?
Taaron
Oooh. I'm glad you mentioned that, Overbite. I wouldn't of given the combined Three Musketeers artwork a second look. That design is actually quite awesome.

Aoi
UncleJoe420
Overbite, I was planning on building some form of transporter for my Mugenbine sets, maybe out of Lego or something similar, along the lines of Thunderbird 2 smiletf.gif. But I have been planning and not actually building it for ages. Unfortunately now I am getting limited for space in which to build and house the eventually completed design (which I still can't decide on). Once i do get round to building it, I will be sure to do some pix of it!!

Am just waiting for HLJ.com to ship my Guard Kong and Wanrikiguma now!! hehehe Anyway, speaking of Wanrikiguma, I think i may have figured out what legendary animal he is supposed to be. I reckon Wanrikiguma is supposed to be Ursa Major, or "The Great Bear", which as we all know is a constellation. Just my theory on what it's supposed to be, mind you... biggrintf.gif

sounds good to me.
Taaron
agree.gif Sounds good to me, too.

Btw, I built the Prelim. Sketch version of the Musketeers combined mode. I had to switch the way the Dragon legs were placed on Questknight's shoulders, though. (and all their heads are hiding on Quest Knight's back.)

It looks much much better than what they photographed. (and it's a bit more stable.)

As for me re-doing some pix of mine, I shall be working on that throughout this coming week, so stay tuned!!

BREAKING NEWS: Just got my Guard Kong and Wanrikiguma today (Tuesday). They are both pretty cool, but I have just noticed that one of the peg ends on the Wanrikiguma mugenroid's left ankle has broken off and is missing, but I am not really too bothered about that since none of his modes really use that particular peg. I did cave in earlier on and ordered a Turbo Animal Force set as well!! rodimusgrinstatic.gif

Anybody really. If you created some cool combined modes show 'em off.

I'll get things started with my guy I made from Dig Kong, Kaiser Condor & Save Gunman:

Taaron
Sounds good to me. Here's my two custom-builds. (Probally seen both before, but that's what I got before my camera cable crapped out.)

"Demolisher Kong" (Named that, cause it reminded me a little bit of the house demolisher in I, Robot.)

and Teiouryu Cannon(or tank! I hadn't really decided on what to call it when I finished it.):

Aoi
UncleJoe420
Well, I've just started re-taking some of my mugenbine combo pix, since the ones i took on my cellphone came out a bit grainy. Just hope my retaken pix don't come out blurry!! laughlol.gif: I will try and upload what I have done either later today or during tomorrow - sorry about the wait!!

BTW. Aoi and Overbite- Nice work!! Your combo models look pretty cool!!
UncleJoe420
Well, here's one of my combos, called Fighting Falcon. Hope it's ok..

Hope this link works.. bumblebeetounge.gif
Taaron
Looks pretty good. I recognize the Mugen Insect beetles, but not the other lion. Is that the Assault?

Aoi
UncleJoe420
The Fighting Falcon is a combo of the InterBeetle (part of the mugen sector double set), the Assault Leon and the Saga Falcon sets. Might have to try coming up with a better right arm for him though - seems a bit odd with all that gumph just hanging there..

Guess i better post this next pic - Behold, Megalon!!

Awesome display Overbite.

I should of bought that memory card reader and USB hub earlier this evening, so I can get back into taking pictures. I need another shelf for my stuff. Did a bit of purchasing(no Mugenbine though.) yesterday and the day before and I'm running out of space on my desk.

Also, check out Bigbadtoystore. They're having a Thanksgiving sale that ends Friday. 20% everything that's not marked as "New" or Pre/Back-ordered.

Good news folks - my Turbo Animal Force turned up today, 3 days after it was shipped!! I can think of only one word to describe this set atm - bloody gigantic!! I'll be sure to do pix of it some time!!
Overbite
looking forward to the pix Uncle Joe. I've also started to see some yahoo japan auctions for Leadzaurus (blue Launcherzaurus repaint)

Also thanks for the heads up on the BBTS sale. Too bad they don't have any figures on sale that I need...
UncleJoe420
Will work on pix of the Turbo Animal Force over the next few days - will also include a few pix of it next to other sets, just to show how big it is!!

Am not holding out much hope of getting my backordered sets (Fang Tiger and Victory Leon) from HLJ.com, since I ordered them a fair few months ago.. icon_sad.gif
Overbite
There usually a few Fangtigers on the US eBay. There is a guy who also sells Mugenbine figures out of the UK on there. If it was me, I'd order Fangtiger someplace else and it off of HLJ.

Got my camera working again, so I grabbed some (large) pics of the Drawing-style Three Musketeers combiner...since they're a bit big, I'll just link them instead of attaching.. (Guess I'll have to reinstall Photoshop, after all!)

Just thought I ought to post some cool news from www.zincpanic.com - they have pix of two new sets for Mugenbine 2007!! I will attach the pix here for those who want a sneak peek at Powerful Tyranno and Speed Eagle!!
Taaron
Without a doubt, those are friggin' cool. I can't tell though..are they non-'roids, or a completely new type of Roid body?

Aoi
UncleJoe420
I assume they are a new type of mugenroid, since each new set comes with something called a "MugenRider", which i assume is a little figure with sits in the cockpit of each vehicle / set.

Also, I've updated both my Webshots and Photobucket galleries to include the Mugen Sector repaints and Mugen Dino Double - enjoy!!

Those are a new type of core.
They're roids that are exclusive to the set... Eagle Roider and Tyranno(?) Roider. rodimusgrinstatic.gif
UncleJoe420
I think the next 2 sets after the Power Tyranno and the Speed Eagle, called Build Mammoth and Fire Wolf, also have a new Roider doohickey each too!!

Huh. That's interesting. If you look at the middle set of pics that UncleJoe posted, you can actually see some human looking figures standing besides the upper set of figures. I was more focused on the robots. optimuslaugh2.gif
