Hum. Can I double post to say I got Xenobine today? He's pretty nifty. Got a whole bunch of pics taken, but I'm not really in the photo editing mood, so it'll be a bit before they're online. (Plus, I think he shows up blue in the viewfinder, instead of the Eggplant/Plum color scheme he really has.)
I think I like the tank mode of the official models, the most.
The only big negative I can find, which is pretty small anyways, I wish his dragon teeth/cockpit opened. Teiouryu really spoiled me in that aspect.)

Well, i have good news - my ArchTiger and WingBat turned up today!! The ArchTiger is actually bigger than the regular mugenbine 'bots, since he has that "Mugen Engine" gearbox block. But I have seen the piccies of the Mugen Animal Force robot, which is even bigger!! I know i'll be grabbing one of those sometime!!

Wow. I didn't see the recent post! I thought the topic might of died.
What's the Mugen Animal Force robot look like? Any chance y'can scan it in, since BBTS or HLJ doesn't have pics up?
Anyways, I've started watching Machine Robo Rescue(Finished ep. 13.) I can't believe how I passed it up initially..it even made me dig out my MRR Jet KO.
Anyways, I think I'm looking forward to getting the rest of the "Hobbies" group(Yuutenma, Wanrikiguma, and Uzumakidori), Overligan, Double Insect Combo, and Spirit Cobra for now. Just gotta get the bills paid off and the money saved up!

Well, I'm currently waiting for my Assault Leon and the Insect Double set - will do a brief review of it once it arrives, if it'll help Aoi!!
Have got my eye on a few more sets too. As for the Animal Force set, I think that is gonna be a monster!! Am guessing it might be around a foot tall, and may possibly include a couple of the Mugen Engine cores!! You know I'm gonna get me one of those!!

Hey guys, found something at BigLots this weekend that was a bit disapointing. I suppose the same folks that KO'd the Machine Robo Rescue is now working on Mugenbine toys. They've released 9 figures, Airleon to Galaxy Rex...at $4 they're really disapointing, they've scaled up the Mugenroids, and switched the core characters around some. (I.E. Super Dig Kong has Fang Tiger's Mugenroid, and Fang Tiger's decals.) Oh, and they all are re-named to have "Super" in front of their names.
I like KO's, but for some reason..seeing these released are disapointing(especially considering they look like they're the type where as soon as you open the box, you should just dump them in the trash.)

Well, my Assault Leon and Mugen Insect Double should be here tomorrow or Wednesday (fingers crossed) - will let you know what they are like. BTW, just found a pic of the Mugen Animal Force robot on BBTS - hope this pic works..
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/images/produ...ge/BAN10953.jpgThis looks to be an absolute monster - also seems it has a vehicle mode which is kinda similar to a V22 Osprey tilt-rotor!! Will have to wait till after my holiday to get this sucker - but I will be grabbing me one!! hehehe

Aah - my Assault Leon and Mugen Insect Double set arrived today (slightly earlier than expected). Just got to say they totally rule!! Ok, the Assault Leon is just a repaint of AirLeon with a couple of extra guns, but I still quite like it - the little fold-out landing gear in Jet Mode is a nice touch!! As for the Mugen Insect Double, It was well worth the £17 I paid for it!! The individual sets, called Jabstag and Interbeetle are a lot bigger and chunkier than I was expecting (the lift fans on Interbeetle are at least a couple of inches across). They combine to form Mugen Sector (think that's the guy's name), with the extra little bugs forming lower arms and weapons. Nice size robot mode makes it pretty imposing, considering it's just the two sets combined. Well worth ordering both of them!!

So, would you recommend Assault Leon over AirLeon?
Anyways, I just finished watching episode 26 of Machine Robo Rescue. Wow. I wish I hadn't dismissed it way back when. the Space arc with Taiyoh(sp?) was incredibly well done. Also wish I hadn't dismissed it back then, cause the Original MRR toys were available for purchase..

I want a K-Boy now. (Well, only if it was articulated as much as the show's ones were.)

Well, I found it a bit easier to get hold of the Assault Leon than the Air Leon (in regards to waiting for it to be in stock). So in that respect, I do recommend it. Ok, mine was missing a hinge pin, which i replaced with a filed-down nail - but apart from that I like it. Just hope my next order from HLJ.com ships this week, and that my Carry Eagle turns up in stock soon. Hope that pic of the Animal Force set was to you liking, Aoi. As for the MRR sets, HobbyLink Japan do still have some of the older sets in, as well as the individual 'bots themselves.

Just thought I'd post that I now have the Saga Falcon, Gear Tortoise and Spit Cobra sets!! Am gonna have to count how many sets I have now, since I have pretty much lost count.
Any more Mugenbine purchases will have to wait until after my holiday in October - am just waiting for pics of the Mugenroid triple set, and some actual toy pix of the Mugen Animal Force!!
PS. The Zord Elephant set has been discontinued - bugger!!

Just had a brief headcount earlier today - and I have 27 Mugenbine sets!! This is of course without counting the three i currently have on back-order (Carry Eagle, Fang Tiger and Heat Tricera). Maybe next week, I may order the Victory Leon too - before he gets discontinued!!

Also, what do ya'll think of this set?
http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN941636All I can say is; Green and Blue must have a serious head/neck ache. "Hey, Red! We asked you not to stomp around on bugs like that! Especially the crunchy ones!....and the squishy ones too...Ew..."

Oh yeah... I forgot to say. I found the sets at
http://www.amenbo.com/cgi-bin/list/toys/sale/candy1-e.cgiScroll down a bit and your there.
It was especially hard to find since they classify it as a candy toy and not a gashapon... XD
As for the 'roid generals, I dont think ill get it, since there's a small 'roid to bine part ratio. I think I have enough 'roids now anyway.
UncleJoe420
Sep 26 2006, 07:37 AM
Got to go with Smookimus - thing i have a good enough roid-to-parts ratio right now, plus what with my holiday fast approaching, i can't really order any more sets now (I have Carry Eagle, Fang Tiger, Heat Tricera and now Victory Leon on back-order).
But once i get back, hopefully there will be actual pix of the Mugen Animal Force set on HobbyLink Japan!!

Sep 26 2006, 08:30 AM
Awesome. How many did you have to order to get a full set of Mugen Emperor Vs Death Emperor? (I can't tell if it's a full set, or individual blind boxes.)
I might have to look into this site if their shipping is low enough. They have the Zoids Neo Blox and I've been trying to find a good site to order those from.
Aoi
Smookimus
Sep 26 2006, 10:26 AM
Looks like there are 10 pieces, so that means if there aren't any repeats, you get both the Mugen Emperor and the Death Emporer! The shipping's comparable to HLJ, I decided to go with the second least expensive (2000 yen aprox), but the least expensive is about 1000 yen, but takes at most a month to ship. My reasoning for going for the more expensive was because they're on sale.

Sep 28 2006, 01:53 AM
Well, got a bit of bad news - according to HobbyLink Japan, the Carry eagle set has been discontinued, so I've had to order it from Bigbadtoystore.com. Bit of a bugger, I'll admit - just hope my other back-orders are ok.
On a lighter note, I've mixed my Mugen Hercules and Impact Dile to create Megalon, from the Godzilla movies!! Thought it'd be worth a laugh, and am half tempted to try making other Godzilla villains!!

Thanx Aoi - the ShellSplitter idea came to me while i was waiting for the sets to arrive. Most of the other designs I put together from various designs i've spotted online.
On a side note, has anyone here ordered sets from BigBadToystore, and if so how long did they take to arrive? Am asking this as I am currently waiting for a Carry Eagle to arrive from them. I know it left the US on Sunday, but have not been able to track it down since..
Taaron
Oct 5 2006, 04:58 AM
I wouldn't know about international shipping...but every time I've ordered from BBTS, it's usually taken about a week to a week and a half, from placing my order to arriving at home. (My first order took about 5 days, and my second order took about 7 days, but that was on account of a delay with UPS.)
BBTS is really good at communication, so I'm sure if you fire off an email, you might be able to find out when it'll arrive? (or at least get a guesstimation.)

http://www.maj.com/gallery/AoiJuuni/Mugine...iouryutank1.jpg http://www.maj.com/gallery/AoiJuuni/Mugine...iouryutank2.jpgI suppose I should of renamed the files before I uploaded them, since he's more similar to a Cannon, than a tank(unless he waddles...)

Anyway, looks pretty cool as a single-set combo, Aoi!! Look forward to seeing more of them!!

Yay! Finally got Mugen Emperor and overall am very pleased. Even thout they ARE candy toys, the quality is very high, though not as high as regular Mugen sets. I'd get pics, but don't have a camera...
Oh, and as a side note, the white as seen in this set:

Wow, this area is a bit off of the beaten path for toys. I got into Mugenbine figs around this past April/May and am totally addicted. I managed to scrounge up all of them except for the TRU special editions, chromed ones, other store exclusives, etc. THe only one I am desperately looking for is the Mugen Builder set. (Did yours ever come in from HLJ Uncle Joe420? I am still waiting for HLJ to get one in).
Also if any body has any questions on the figs let me know...
UncleJoe420
Oct 27 2006, 04:13 AM
Sorry to disappoint Overbite, but I never got a Mugen Builder - it was on back-order for a while, so I cancelled it

Anyway, I got my Heat Tricera from BBTS this morning, and I will be trying to combine it with my Great Rex later!! Am now down to 5 more from the roman alphabet to go, but Zord Elephant has been discontinued at HLJ.com (mutters Bugger). I still have Victory Leon and Fang Tiger on backorder from them as well!!
Overbite
Oct 27 2006, 09:38 AM
Have you tried Yahoo Japan? I picked up a Zord Elephant and Victory Leon a few weeks ago for about $20-25 US each. Unfortunately the thing with Yahoo Japan is the sellers won't ship internationally so you either have to use an intermediary like Rinkya (which I used to buy the figures) or have a friend who lives in Japan and can buy and ship the item to you. It is a bit more expensive because you have to pay service fees and extra shipping costs but is the only way to get some of the discontinued figs. Check out www.rinkya.com and type in "Machine Robo" in the search auctions field. I do believe there is a Zord Elephant & a Victory Leon up for auction right now.
Also someone mentioned in an earlier post wondering if the elephant for the upcoming Turbo Animal Force was Powernose or a slight remold. I am pretty sure it is an entirely new mold.
--edit check these out...
Zord Elephant: http://www.rinkya.com/twview.pl?URL=http:/...ction/d67705053Victory Leon: http://www.rinkya.com/twview.pl?URL=http:/...ction/p67639358

Thanx for the info Overbite - will check out those two links!! As for the elephant in the Turbo Animal Force set, the head looks like a remold of the elephant head from Power Nose, but i could be wrong..
As for those Rinkya links, I wish my understanding of Japanese was better!!

:
Overbite
Oct 27 2006, 01:57 PM
there is a translate button at the top of the rinkya page that translates into English. The translation is not grammatically correct but you do get an idea what the seller is saying.
I also purchased my Vicrory Leon & Zord Elephant from the same guy that is selling the Victory Leon. Both were brand new in an unopened boxes.
Looking at my Powernose's head and the pics for the TAF elephant head, Powernose's head looks different enough that the TAF head is a new mold. The top of the head on TAF has more of a "mohawk" look while it is a "flattop" look on Pnose. The tusks on TAF curve up more. On Pnose, the tusks are connected to the side of the head. The ears are different too.

Hit JR's Toyworld (www.jrstoyworld.com) and BBTS(www.bigbadtoystore.com), and ordered a whole slew of Mugenbine toys for my birthday. It was fated to be, since the total came up to be $82.24. (I was born in 1982, and I'll be 24 for my birthday. Hahaha.)
