since the success of the alt/bt line, there has been a high demand for better, badder, and just a variety of tf's. what if there was an unlicenced line of tf's that had the poseablity and complex transformation as the bt's n alts? what if they didn't even look like real cars? the g1 line had alot of these vehicles that never existed or closely resembled actual cars...this time we would get an actual story line and maybe a cartoon, and we would be able to get the tanks, seekers, gestalts...and lord knows what would be instore, remolds wouldn't happen in this line.... would anybody be interested? discuss!

Altinators were about scale and realism. You should be happy to know that Seekers will be altinator jets that will cost $30.

Military tanks is not heard of as of yet. Be glad you got the jets though.
THE STIG
exactly my point! so would u sacrifice realisim and detail for poseability yet still maintains the complex transformation in favor of a new line of toys that resembled g1's ideas... just come out with toys that transform? and the seekers are rumored but u still deal with licencing issues... with something unlicenced your designs would be unlimited as to what alt modes you can come up with!

I think you are talking about having a completely different and new toy line.

Altinators is a line dedicated to REALISM as well as complexity and scale. The key word here is realism.

Now one thing transformers could try to get lisences for that would fit what you want and still keep the realism thing going is to have a special set of altinators called consept cars. Make altinators based on cars that may or may not happen in the future.

This was an idea I had for quite a while.

You run the risk of hasbro turning out a lot of futuristic stlye arcee blur kup cars which turned off alot of original G1 fans.

I'm in it for the realism. Though i think genuine car company concept cars could work.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the toy industry, there will ALWAYS be repaints in every line, as it keeps production costs down while maximizing profit. (No pun intended, BW fans.) For reference, see MP-02: Ultra Magnus. EVERYONE gets repainted eventually. Except G1 Megatron... Hmm, just had an Idea for a new thread... thumbsup1.gif
