dont know if this is old news but ,i went to TRU this week and saw that thry had marked all of the G1 transformers down to below $20 , needles to say i almost bought some doubles for such the low price.

Yeah, last Firday came back from TRU and saw that a lot of the G1 figures were around $10-15 bucks.

pfft, i wouldn't pay close to $10 for those things. Maybe $5, at most.

you can buy multiple seekers and repant them as other cybertronian seekers that were 'nt in the show

Not all of them are on sale. I think Ricochet's still going for $35.

Yeah, gotta love the price drops. I THINK that Tracks and some of the others were about 15 bucks...


Oh, excuse my n00bishness, but, uh, when was the Reissue Ultra Magnus released, and is there any chance I can still get him at TRU?

yeah, i bought inferno and grapple for 9 something each and hoist for 6 something at TRU the other day.

You know, I'm tempted...

But at the same time, most of the ones at my local TRU I have next to no interest in.... which sucks.

All I really want are the triplechangers. I want the one I owned -- blitzwing, and I want the one I always wished I owned -- Astrotrain.

i bought a dupe tracks (to eventually paint red) and red alert (to paint as well). Once the seekers go down even more, I'll get a couple of skywarps or thundercrackers to repaint.

How much is Prowl?

Magnus was reissued in late 2002, so the chances of finding him are pretty slim.

I'd love to get a new Screamer, Skywarp and then the one I never got- Thundercracker. My SS, SW and Ramjet have all gone to pieces.

It is temping at these prices, but I still prefer the takara book style ones. The TRU ones are altered with non firing and viagra sized missles. I don't care, I'd still get takara's.

Finally picked up DIrge and Landmine, both made me one extremely pleased Tekyu ^_^

I'm heading back again this friday with slim hopes that I'll be able no not blow every cent I have gettin' reissues cheap as dirt.

I got Skywarp and Thundercracker about an hour ago. Starscream is gone from my area. Also got a Prowl and a Inferno.

is their any powermaster primes still out there? (just curious if this was on sale)

At the TRU next to where i work i picked up inferno for 5.98 hoist for 9.99 and tracks for 10.98. they also had smokescreen, prowl,bluestreak ( silver streak just doesn't sound right to me ) for 16. 99 and riochet and rodimus for 29.99. theydidn't have any seekers thought. i do know on their website they have different prices on the reissue .

Hmm I might check it out. The problem is that I own all of the toys from 1984 except 4 and all from 1985 except 6. So TRU exclusives aren't that much of a draw for me. The only real reason why I would buy any are for the accessories, and they are not as good as the originals. But I still don't have Hoist yet or Stepper. I have all the rest (as far as I know.) Except Rodimus Prime.

Another thing, it pays to shop around - some TRUs have discounted the reissues more heavily than others. I've seen price differences of over $10 in TRUs that are within five miles of each other.

Heh, they should start reissuing the reissues...

Well, they've reissued G1 Optimus Prime like 4 times.

1. Japanese reissue in 2000

2. Japanese New Years reissue in 2002

3. TRU American reissue in 2002

4. Japanese bookstyle reissue #0 in 2003

So, you never know, they just might start doing that?

The funny thing is that re-releasing the first two waves of Hasbro reissues (specifically the Primes, Magnus and Starscream) would probably sell better than most of the more recent guys.

I would kill for an original OP or Starscream, well before anything ont he shelves now.

I think you might want to consider the Takara imports. I think Hasbro's US reissue line is dead. Astrotrain and Blitzwing are pretty easy to come by at import stores, Soundwave was very popular and now commands a premium price, but you can always pick up the Soundblaster version coming out next month as a less expensive substitute.

iv been waiting on the price drop at BBT on the imports, but everytime i look they are sold out
