If you are a guy wanting to follow this advice then you may want invest in an Abbysininan.

I got one and he is the best friend one could have.

Anyhow Abbys are a little different than your average house cat.

First off Abbys can be walked on a leash just like a dog. Abbys look like small mountan lions. Abbys are more of a companian than most cats. They shed less hair....I also have an alergy to cats but not to my Abby. Most Abbys are very tolerent of water which makes bathing them easy to do. Some actually love the water. They don't meow unless they are unhappy with something, but it has to be a pretty big something. The best thing is that these cats can be trained like one would train a dog.

The cats temperment is far calmer and a lot less skidish than other cats.

In a way if you think of every quality that most dog lovers list as reasons why they hate cats these are are the qualities Abbys don't have. It's like having a very intelegent and resourcfull dog in a cat suit.

In the cat world Abbysinians are considered the most intelegent breed.

The only draw back is these cats are NOT lap cats and they HATE being picked up.

So if you want to get a cat toget a girl an Abby is your ticket.

BTW having a cat may get the ladies but only once they are willing to talk to you long enough for you tell them you have one, while walking your Abby in the park or beach past few hotties is instant gratification.

Well I have a cat who I adore.... but it never seems to work for me.

Never been much of a cat lover, all a cat ever really seems to do is meow for ages when you're trying to sleep, sits at the door waiting to go out and then doesn't bother once you open the door to let it out, refuses to eat anything you give it, yet will wait till your back is turned before attacking your own food and attacking small dogs. Anyway, I'm caring, sensitive and nice and all that gets me is used, abused and taken advantage of. Cat's are better suited as ballistic missiles.

My Cat goes, on walks, but mainly b/c its used to chained up when it goes outside.

anyhoo: i always loved dogs cuz u know their happy cuz u can really see it in their faces and salavating tounges but after hanging out @ my friends place and playing with his cat i loved how it was so mysterious. and that u have to "work for its affection" (did i quote that right btw?)

i'm not a cat owner but i'd get one. i guess its something u learn to do with the ladies haha... working for their attention.. maybe thats why cat lovers get all teh women... we can't find someone to just give it to us lol.

...and was this survey done with an unbiased survey population, or taken from some animal or pet website, where the biases are obvious?

I was gonna get a cat or dog awhile ago, and asked all my friends what they thought, and 3/4 of the women said a single guy with a cat is just "weird", so unless this was a "blind" survey, I don't buy it.

BTW - I ended up getting a hedgehog, named Jerk, who died recently.

Any how as far as the survey is conserned I know from experiance that if a women knows I have a cat it is just instant connection. If I ran into a chick who didn't like cats or pets of anykind they seemed to be very aloof and not very good at dating. Cat loving women on the other hand seemed to be more relationship orintated. But I must emphisize a single cat owning female was relationship driven.

Women who had full on zoos in their studio appartment (4 cats, 2 dogs, 3 rabbits, 2 snakes, one iguana, 3 or so none feeding rats; you get the picture?) were about as closed off from a relationship with not only the opposite sex but also with the rest of humanity. These women were wired a little differently.

Single female dog owners seemed either codependant or had low selfesteam. Either way it was a me me me thing with these women.

Single female cat owners were pretty much independant and far more feminaly relationship driven than the dog owner.

Wel this was my personal survey based on my experiance. And to recap yes if a chick knew I had my cat they were more into me.
