Why make a movie that takes two hours to explain what Bryan Singer did in 5 minutes in "X-Men"? Anyone who isn't a total doofus could have figured out what Magneto's "psychological roots" are by watching that movie.

his hatred for humanity is deep reaching and the 5 minute segment really couldnt touch on anything other than the part where he was in the concentration camp. they didnt even touch on anything dealing with humans reacting to him being a mutant and any drama that would be caused by that

this movie would spotlight the fact that he grew up in a concentration camp, his friendship with Xavier, and their falling out.

No tentative date has been given for the project in development. X-MEN 3 is still currently set for a 2006 release, and WOLVERINE is set for a tentative 2007 release, according to executive producer/ producer, Avi Arad.

Where did that one come from?

Jude Law as a young Bald Xavior And Noah Taylor as Magneto (see the movie Max, you'll know what I'm talking about).
But any how.....who ever they choose, the acters need to be not-that-great-looking, European (no decaprios please!) and done by a director with some passion. I think Signer should direct anything that goes with the X-men period! to keep the continuiety good.
Hell I wish Singer was doing every Marvel thing in the book. To me that is the way it should be done. Hulk, Daredevil and Electra wouldn't have sucked and we wouldn't have had these lame romantic scenes in spiderman and we wouldn't have had toby as spiderman.

nope, they were only a couple in the cartoon. They were never romantically involved in the comic. In the mini he was involved with a woman named Mariko.
Singer's not doing X3 simply because he has a greater passion for Superman than for X-Men. Both movies have a tentative summer 2006 release.
And yes, the comic vault is pretty much the oracle of TFans.

Not too sure what to expect from a Magneto movie however the premis is iintriguing enough. With X-Men I so wish Bryan Singer would return for the third outing but it was sacrifice that needed to be since Superman was once in the hands of both directors Brett Ratner and McG. (shudders uncontrolably) At least we as movie goers Know Superman is in the right hands.
